Wow, I can't believe this thread. Our offense lead time of possession 38 minutes to 22 minutes. Our offensive line dominated for once. The defense completely shut Iowa down. And our team bounced back from an embarrassing loss on a short week, and people still complain about the game being boring? Yes, our offense was predictable, but we still controlled the ball and the clock. Who cares if we were predictable with results like that. We won convincingly, and I loved every minute of it even if it was "boring"

If you ask me, there is no major program in the country that is 100% squeaky clean. If you dig deep enough there are almost always some violations that occur. Coaches cannot keep their eyes on players 24/7, and 18 to 22 year old's will act like 18 to 22 year old's. That's not even to mention that some boosters do have a "win at all cost" mentality, and may dangle carrots in front of players for their own selfish reasons. With that being said, I would rather win 8-9 games a year with no championships, than win a title and have a scandal surface a few years down the road.

Personally I think that the "Sea of Red" is a pretty awesome nickname. Even though it doesn't distinguish the student section from the rest of the fans, I still think its cool that we have a stadium nickname that reflects the loyalty of the fan base. I don't think we need a different nickname for just the student section imo.

From what I understand, Jeff may be closer than I. If he lives between the two churches on Charleston, he is probably three or four houses closer to the stadium than me. I live at the Hayward School building about half a block down.

Google Maps has me at approx .5 miles. I live in the North Bottoms, and there are about 6 houses between me and the stadium. I walk past it every time I go to class, or the bars. Also, This is my first post. I've been a troll for quite some time, and this site is easily one of the most respectful and insightful boards I've come across, so I thought it was about time to start posting.
