  1. DJR313, You say is it fair that they let Glenn have the goal line situations...I think when NU is in the red zone, you give it to Glenn or throw it to Purify you'll most likely come out with a TD. No back CAN run like Glenn inside the 20...example...A&M. Tell me one of our backs could have made that 2nd TD run...they couldnt. I'm not going to take anything away from Brandon, he works hard and does a good job...but giving him 32 carries in a game...and him getting what? 140 yards? Give any of the others 32 carries... If Glenn stays at NU i'll be right back here cheering him on, if he doesnt i'll follow that team and still cheer for NU unless they are playing him. Thats what homers do. I just believe its a waste of him not to be using him...cause he doesnt have the fumble problem like the rest...anyways...I do agree that the 22 yards on 10 carries after the Iowa State game hurt him...but no reason to take carries away completely. Kansas State saw what he did against Iowa State and keyed on him...he told me everytime he was in the game they ran up yelling "he's in, he's in". Thats the coaches fault...he is in, he gets it. They made that problem...
  2. He was in a boot the weekend and early week after the A&M game...havnt talked to him much sense then so i'm not sure on if he is playing this week or not. His ankle was twisted but it wasnt so much his ankle that was hurt...it was the top of his foot. A sprain in the arch of it. Thought maybe to have been a break but not sure. I'm sure he'll be back...and hope to see him get the snaps he deserves.
  3. Is it not amazing to anyone how high he got to catch that ball against A&M...that was amazing!! He could have jumped way over me...feels like. haha
  4. USC doesnt deserve to be in top 10...much less top 5.
  5. Here another question... Could Zac Taylor have scored a rushing TD against USC if Cody Glenn had not been the decoy?? If another back was in instead would he have scored? Or did USC bite on the runningback cause Glenn was in?
  6. Keep the mic's off the field. It's a bad word...and kids are watching a game where everyone is trying to whip the other person....which is worse? haha
  7. I think think it'd be a good idea to put Lucky at a slot and hit him with it quick and let him go from there...that way he doesnt have to worry with trying to get out of the backfield.
  8. Yea the guy that held his ankle hurt it. He told me he thinks he'll be fine by Colorado. Hopes he gets to play some more.
  9. HELL YEA!!! KEEP PLAYING HIM!
  10. Anyone remember why Rudd's arm was broken before the Alamo Bowl??? He stuck his arm out to tackle Cody Glenn in practice...broke... PLAY CODY GLENN!!!!!!
  11. Lucky - Used like Reggie Bush is...sometimes a RB, and somtimes a reciever. I'd want him out away so he can take the chance of breaking one...putting him in the backfield could get him killed. Jackson - Runs hard, and I think could make a good back if he stays healthly and gets stronger. Glenn - perfect build for a NFL running back, runs with authority, and has the power to run in the NFL, great shot if he stays healthly and keeps getting better. Wilson - another good one to think about for NFL, has to get smarter and spend lots of time learning the plays. He has the size, and the speed. He's thought to have the power but needs to work a little harder on it. Good shot also. All of our backs has a legit shot at it in my opinion...with Glenn and Wilson being the most "NFL-caliber RB". Lucky used as a everything. and Jackson could do different things too (he could play WR also)
  12. Yea he did...think he lost a yard or two on that one.
  13. Glenn had his breakout game...hell yea! Wrecked shop!!
  14. Glenn got caught by the safety whom had the angle on him. He has plenty of speed....obviously has enough...8 carries for 60 yards...hmmm
  15. Caly pissed me off to challenge the play...with the chance of losing the ball and KU getting it...take the chance to get the yard...You have Cody Glenn.
  16. Glenn made up for his fumble with the TD run...even though he was untouched...There is no human force that could have stopped him from getting that .5 yard.
  17. First off...Glenn wasnt injured for the USC game...he just wasnt used. Didnt play because coaches said they wanted more speed...(and that half of inch faster they are in the 40 makes a big difference..???)...anyways...He wasnt in trouble for anything...and he missed the Troy game with a tweaked hammy. Thats the full reason. I talked to him yesterday and he was sore from all the rehab and therapy on his hammy...looks like it worked...Cant wait to see what he does to Kansas on Saturday.
  18. Talked to Cody and he said "better believe i'll be ready for next week"...so unless he has another injury or furthers the one he has...he'll be in the mix against Kansas...and if he's not...then we'll have somthing to talk about...for 3rd week in a row. haha
  19. Maybe Jackson had to use the bathroom? There is no telling what the reason is for him leaving the field early.
  20. You really think Cody ran hesitant last year? He was a true freshman, doing the short yardage for a major D-1...he got a first down or TD every time needed except once (on a blown play). I think all the backs look good so far... Did it seem to anyone else or just me that Wilson ran a little slower today than usual? Is he banged up from USC or what I just thinking he wasnt moving too fast?
  21. None here, I was just stating facts...wanted you to know.
  22. I dont care who quoted him on the sidelines...I TALKED to him, just like I do everyweek...kind of happens when you were bestfriends in h/s. He said he was hurt in practice this week...and might not play. And even if he said he wanted to play...He could have had a broken leg and to sit there and see the other back excel like they were...wouldnt you want a piece of it too?
