  1. To explain that...he was questionable for this game, and it was a before game decision which obviously resulted in him not playing in this one...he wasnt needed...but like the USC game...he could have been used as a decoy if it was needed. It wasnt.
  2. Talked to Cody...has a pulled hamstring...was questionable for this game...and might not even play next. If talking to Glenn isnt a good enough source...I dont know what is.
  3. Glenn is out with a pulled hamstring. Did it wednesday at practice. It was a game time call, obvisously they decided not to further it.
  4. Cody Glenn has a pulled hamstring. Pulled it Wednesday in practice.
  5. Thats funny right there, I dont care who you are.
  6. I always liked watching Glenn at track meets because you see him lined up on the line with kids that are in the range from 5'7" - 6'0" and weigh from 150 to 185...and here he is 6'1" 230...beating them. He looked like a "possessed" animal running track.
  7. Just to clear things up...I never downed another running back to make Cody look better. Just simply said he deserves to play.
  8. Still dont see why Glenn's hands are questioned...throw him a pass...let him drop one before you questions his hands. You usually dont throw him the ball when he is put in on 4 and 1.
  9. If Glenn is given the ball, i'm TELLING you all, he will show what a RB is supposed to do with it. I'm not talking, heres a carry...ok Marlon, they're tired hurry and get some yards, ok Cody here hurt em some more. I'm talking give it to him a whole series and watch. Choo Choo.
  10. Cody Glenn still listed as the CO-#1....With the way things have gone this year... Leads in rushing first game, less action 2nd...gets two TDs still, see LITTLE action (two plays) in 3rd game...., I wonder if they will even let the man dress out for this one. SOOO Strange to me when one of your LISTED #1 backs...doesnt run the ball.
  11. If Cody is given a shot...he'll show he deserves top spot.
  12. Dont know Callahan but from what i've seen I can picture this... While recruiting Marlon Lucky, he is promised to be the poster child after Ross...he is to be the go to back, and the one people see when they hear Nebraska. They promised it to him, and he went there. I honestly think thats whats going on... To me it seems like he could make every mistake possibly and still be right there the next week to do it again...
  13. I would do the research for you and find it but i'm not going to...either believe me or find it but its been written than when running sprints the two are neck and neck. Blow that hot air all u want about Glenn not being fast enough. To me a 40 time doesnt mean sh#t, how often does a running back get an open 40 yards to run? only after they make it past the defense...somthing Glenn will do better than Lucky because a corner cant take Cody down...period. I'm sick of the Glenn isn't fast enough...thats a crock...
  14. My honest opinion is I think Callahan never saw a chance of winning this game...so he played to not be embarrased. Swift, Octo., Herian, Purify and Glenn saw very little action if any. I think it is keeping them from getting hurt. Reason for not using Glenn is...he is the only "big" back. He is the consistant one of the 4. The other 3 were able to play because if one is injured, 2 others that can do the same job. NU only has one Cody Glenn. My take on this could be completely wrong...or maybe it is just "what I want to believe" but not playing Glenn in this game was either really stupid or...good on his part (keeping him from injury). He would have clearly had a better day running than the other backs...he's too powerful of a back. Also...on his PA play on the 1...he ran over what? 2 or 3 people going into the endzone...Glenn would have been a difference maker in this game.
  15. How can people judge Glenn's speed when he runs strictly between tackles and doesnt hardly get sweeps and tosses like the rest. When he was given the same play selection as the other 3 against La. Tech he picked up 3 consecutive first downs...he has plenty of speed...and will hurt people when they get in his way...also...if he was to fumble a ball, he wont lay on the ground...acting as though his hand his hurt. He has fumbled one time since being at NU, got the first down and didnt lose the ball. Glenn had to have been hurt...OR SAVED in my opinion. Didnt see Purify, Herian (too much).. Swift...hardly anyone that usually gets touches. Callahan didnt play to win, he played not to get embarrased.
  16. Thought it was kind of funny Lucky wasnt hurt until he fumbled the ball...
  17. How many times did you hear Cody Glenn's name? None...thats pathetic...biggest strongest back and dont use him.
  18. Good f'in question...did notice he got in the endzone on his decoy though.
  19. I dont care if Glenn is hurt or not, I promise he could score from there with a broken leg.
  20. Glenn must be hurt...why in the hell wouldnt he have the ball right now?
  21. I'd be willing you bet my house, car, and job on that Benard. A fourth and 1 that Glenn doesnt get, has more factors to it than, defense stopping him. It results from a busted play, or a "slip" or such. Glenn is the kind of guy that thrives on the "okay, they are here to stop me....watch this". He will do to USC, what he does to La. Tech...and Nicholls state...and how he will do to everyone else NU plays.
  22. Glenn...did his job on short yardage...as expected and did more than most expected when he gets the ball to the outside. He is best back in my opinion and will continure to show it. Especially since La. Tech can put Lucky out of the game twice....what will USC and Texas do to him?
