    This is starting to remind me of the Colorado game when Henery made his 57 yard field goal. It's also when our coaching staff shattered a whiteboard to inspire our defense. Somebody get a whiteboard to our coaches pronto!

    500lbs of unproven backs. Lawrence Phillips, and Ahman Green used to be freshman "unproven" backs too. They have to start somewhere.

    UCLA's is using our old defense against us....speed and constant pressure.

    Use power sets. Pound the football, chew some clock, and let your defense catch their breath so that they can play faster the next time they are on the field. You can wear the opposing defense down without having to go no-huddle. You can do it by being PHYSICAL....play, after play, after play, after play. THAT is Nebraska football.

    3rd & 3 and we throw?! This is why we need to be more physical. This is starting to remind of Shawn Watson's offense. Get back to pounding the football!

    Even though that was almost picked off I liked the play call there from Beck. I formation roll out pass. We need more of that.

    The only thing that gives me hope tonight is that our defense in 2009 looked very similar to this one at the start of the season, and then the Missouri rain game happened, and it was like a light bulb went on for our guys, and we played great defense the rest of that year.

    That was the best pressure Meredith has done all season.

    Bo needs to be gutsy and start letting our corners play one-on-one coverage and start dialing up some linebacker and safety blitzes to help out our d-line.

    0/4 on third down in the first half?! Yikes!

    she is terrible in the studio- not her thing. Her niche is struting it on the sidelines I agree. She has always been a decent sideline reporter, but she is struggling at being an anchor. Fox's pre-game show was really hard to watch.

    Charlie McBride's standard was always 250 yards or under. It just shows how far we still have to go to get back to where we want to be.

    Quick random question for all of you Husker fans: Which Nebraska style of offense do you most prefer? 1) Physical power football? 2) Or up-tempo spread?

    The only thing that I can think of to explain that first half performance by our defense is that Pelini was testing out different coverages to see how UCLA attacked it, and he is saving his Man-Blitzes and Zone-Blitzes for the second half.
