Can we give some big props to what Coach Tony Tuioti has done with that D-Line over the last 2 years. Give them a true pass rush threat and watch out!

Oh trust me I'm not. I do like his patience though in both the option game and when he sets his feet to pass. Martinez always seemed like he was in a hurry when at times he didn't need to be and it cost him over-and-over again.

This kid has some speed! Maybe not Crouch speed or Crouch's lateral agility, but it's close.

Targeting is the worst rule in the college game today. It's one of the few times where the NFL gets it right. Just call it a 15-yard unnecessary roughness penalty and move on with the game.

I would much rather see them run a triple-option concept then continue to try and use those screens.

Good luck convincing Scott Frost that. Hopefully the next OC will either dramatically reduce the use quick split-screens and swing-screens OR will at least scheme them up better, because as you said they have hardly ever worked while Frost has been HC.

I don't know if they will struggle, but the defense will take a step back next year as the younger guys get used to taking their place in the starting lineup. They definetly need to find one or two players who can rush the passer. It's been area sorely needed for several years.

I love it! Use how Iowa wants to play the game against them. We can always go up-tempo when we need to. The other thing is we needed a slow sustained drive to help calm any nerves Smothers or the offense might have had with a new QB under center.
