  1. Sims best pass of the day and of course we drop it.
  2. Defense or Special Teams are going to have to score for us to have a chance in this game.
  3. Thank God we scored. But I still stand by this statement.
  4. I totally disagree with Coach Rhule and his decision to let Sims start the 2nd half. Sims has turned the ball over 7 times in 6 quarters. If you want to establish a culture, and you as the head coach say in press conferences that you can't start a player because of his turnover issues, than that has to apply across the board whether the player is a running back or your starting QB.
  5. Find this team any kind of offense and we might have a chance to win a game or two, because the defense is playing smart, hard-hitting football. Give Tony White a raise before they get back to Lincoln.
  6. Take away Sims turnovers and it's a totally different game going into the half.
  7. There it is. Simple and to the point. This should tell Rhule "What's Next?"
  8. Interesting and different take from former Nebraska QB Mike Stuntz. I disagree with it, because you can't leave Sims in the game after showing his difficulty with the center-snap exchange.
  9. Sims needs to be DONE as Nebraska's starting QB. We have to remember these are all young men. You can't tell me that some of the starters on that offense aren't internally frustrated with Sims play these last two games. If Rhule was smart he would change QB's at half, and see if the rest of the offense rallys around the new starter.
  10. Nebraska had all the momentum with 5 minutes left in this half, and then just threw it all away by some of the most dumb football you will ever see. The QB-Center exchange is one of the first steps (and most practiced elements) in game mangement, and we have totally failed in that department.
  11. Multiple snap miscues. Delay of game. It's time to bench Jeff Sims.
  12. If Nebraska does make a change at QB, I l don't know who they should really turn to? Purdy or Haarberg?
  13. That could be a game changing, and mentally challenging turnover for this team. You can't keep having multiple turnovers on basic center-snap exchanges. If Sims isn't the guy at QB, Nebraska is in BIG trouble.
  14. Just let it go Huskers. The bad snap was unfortunate. The missed FG, also unfortunate. Shake it off and let it go. Lean into and focus on what got us going on that drive. A smart, physical run game.
  15. In the first quarter our running game consisted of straight hand offs, and dialing up passes on 2nd & long. I would suggest to Satterfield maybe dialing up some of those read-options on those longer 2nd down plays.
  16. All things considered from what we've seen, ending the first quarter still at 0-0 is a win for Nebraska.
  17. So far, from what I've seen from his offense up to this point I think you're right. I want to be careful in my judgement because this is only game 2, but I wonder how his offense would look if his starting QB was playing better.
  18. I didn't like the play call by Satterfield on 2nd down. You just gained 3 yards on a first down run - call another safe run play that gets you another 2 or 3 yards to give your offense some confidence and make it 3rd and short. Instead we call a pass, it's incomplete leaving us with a 3rd and long which is where Sims struggles.
  19. That's a win for Nebraska. No points. Settle the nerves. Regroup, and let's play some smart football.
