Buckle up Nebraska fans, it's going to be a high anxiety 4th quarter.

If we can't get edge pressure against Northwestern it's going to be a long year.

He's not even calling plays anymore, he just has to manage the game, and ultimately made an absolutely boneheaded decision.

That TD is all on Frost's onside kick decision. Your defense has already proved in the first half that they were struggling to make stops. Help them out and make Northwestern go the full length of the field!

It was just an inexcusable unnecessary decision. The risk was not worth the reward.

WHY? WHY FROST? Play the momentum and field position game.

First Half Observations: Nebraska QB play has vastly improved from the last four years. Great passing concepts from Whipple. Unfortunately, Nebraska's offensive line still can't get a consistent push and get 1 or 2 yards when they need it! Nebraska's defense pretty much played an odd-front with lineman covering the center, and then the rest of the line would do a late shift before the snap - it wasn't working that well. If Nebraska can't run the ball it's going to be a LONG season...again. Things I would like to see in the 2nd half: Stick with the passing game. Mix in the crossing routes, and comeback routes with some concepts designed for the Tight End. More play-action screens similar to the first play of the game to Palmer. Defensively, change the front up to a more 4-3 hybrid instead of the 3-4 odd stack. Keep your poise through the adversity. Final Prediction: If Nebraska loses this game I don't think it projects well for Scott Frost keeping his job.

I'm right there with you. It's been a long...LONG time since I watched a game with complete trust in our O-line.

Yep. I'm a "Run the Damn Ball Guy" but if you see that your O-line can't even get you 1 or 2 yards, you have to adjust and lean into what is working. If I'm Whipple stick with your passing game, mix in some screens, and maybe in the 2nd half dial up some zone-reads instead of just basic inside zone. That depends on what they're seeing from Northwestern's edge players.

So far not impressed with our run blocking. If you can't get 2 yards with a simple inside zone play, you know you have work to do on the O-line.
