  1. Yeah I agree with you guys guess we all become fans of any team playing Boise, such a joke that they get this special consideration every year with that joke of a schedule they play. I do believe they are a good football team but in a power conference are maybe a consistent 7 or 8 win team
  2. Last time I checked Denard Robinson can't throw the ball whether it's windy out or not, the key to the Michigan game was Denard couldn't get his average 200 yards a game on the ground. So for Taylor to being saying things that it was the defense who shut Denard down is a bit absurd. I do agree with you Crewe and Blank that absolutely no extra motivation should be needed for a game like this.
  3. Wondering what everyone feels if either one of our teams runs the table to the Big 10 title game and then loses to Wisconsin in the title game. Do you feel either one of our teams snags an at-large berth? It seems rare that the BIG would be left with only one BCS bid team.
  4. Looks like they are figuring you to win out the rest of your schedule and lose to Wisconsin in the title game. My question for all you NU fans assuming you beat my Spartans this week is do you feel you win out the remainder of your schedule with games at Penn State and at Michigan on the horizon. Just curious of your thoughts?
  5. People are always hating on the Big Ten, it's a different brand of football. Just because its teams are predominantly power football teams and not spreading 5 wide every play these idiot analysts don't give the conference its due. As a conferenece right now I feel we are very strong, although there are no standout teams right now we have several teams that could compete with the best in the nation in my opinion. As a member of the BIG just get used to the criticism, we'll let our conference do the talking in bowl season!
  6. Sorry not sure why it double poster MOD: you don't get extra points for double posts
  7. Looks like Taylor is trying to give my Spartans some extra incentive if it wasn't there already. Surprised to hear comments like this before such an important game. GO GREEN!!
  8. I agree just saying it wouldn't surprise me one bit if Illinois springs the upset because of how lackluster the Penn State offense can be
  9. Beaver Stadium is actually located in University Park, PA and as far as gameday I have to say I think Penn State is a grossly overrated team and they could very well lose to Illinois this weekend. Also, as advice for those of you travelling to Beaver Stadium as a word to the wise this is one of the most hostile venues I've been to, the other being Ohio State and I've been to all the Big Ten venues except for NU which I am happy to say I will be coming for this weekend!
  10. As many have said already the key to beating our Spartans as far as I'm concerned is to not allow us to establish the run and to get pressure on Cousins. Cousins gets flustered when he is pressured and even though he is a fifth year senior he still makes bad mistakes when the rush is coming. On offense from what I can tell NU must be able to mix in the pass to a certain degree. MSU will bring lots of heat if you cannot throw the ball well (see Michigan game). Anyways just my two cents. Go GREEN!!
  11. Thanks for all the great info guys. I'll be driving into Lincoln late Friday and staying until Monday so I will make sure to take it all in, should be a great time! Your fans are something to be desired by many schools and I appreciate all the advice. See you all Saturday and GO GREEN!!
  12. This spread as far as I'm concerned takes into account State's failures in the past coming into a huge football game. Last year an undefeated State team who was thought to be a better team then Iowa was a 7 point dog at Kinnick. Everyone once again thought this line was completely off and we know how the rest of the story goes. Hoping that my Spartans are ready to go and with Gholston back they should be even stronger, but it would not surprise me one bit if NU wins this game and by a sizable margin at that. Hope I'm wrong and GO GREEN!!
  13. This game has me scared to death, in the past this is a game that State walks into and lays a complete egg. It will be fun to see if my Spartans are different then year's past and compete with the Huskers. I remember in week 3 when state was a 6.5 point dog against Notre Dame and I though this was crazy, so I don't think the line is too far off from what it should be.
  14. As a state fan who's coming down to Lincoln for the game gotta say that this start time is very disappointing (was hoping to get tailgate without having to get up at the crack of dawn). You would think that a game between virtually two top ten teams would at least warrant a 330 start. Oh well still looking forward to coming down to Lincoln. Go Green !!!
  15. Thanks for the info guys, really looking forward to experiencing gameday in Lincoln. Should be a great game, will be sure to let you know how things go
  16. Yeah that was a bummer to find out it is an early game, thought for sure with it being such a marquis matchup that it would at the very least be a 3:30 kickoff. Oh well, what can you do and thanks for the info
  17. Hi Everyone, MSU fan here that will be traveling down to Lincoln for what should be a great game on Saturday. Anyways had a few questions for you. Do you have any recommendations on what to do for parking, I've read there is virtually no public parking around the stadium. Also if you have any other suggestions for bars or any other must sees around the area on gameday I would be very appreciative. Once again thanks for any information you can provide and welcome to the Big Ten, it is a pleasure to have a historic program like Nebraska in our conference. And one other thing... Go Green!!!
