Definitely different times. I watched part of the Fiesta bowl (the thrashing of Wuerffel, Spurrier and the Gators) and a few other games tonight while cleaning my AR-15...those fellas weren't just good, they were overwhelmingly dominant. My goodness! edit: Forgot to add...where will you be tomorrow...hope it is one of those "where I was when...." moments..in a good way. I was bored...I went to the shooting range after work, so I got out my cleaning kit and sat at the table cleaning my rifle and watching old Husker highlights...much better than watching any of the live games that were on last night. Gotta be ready for the Zombie Apolcalypse and all don't you know?

We could win out and win the CCG. I could snort draino and blow smoke circles out my bum. I'm afraid one won't happen and pretty certain the other won't. But they could.

Our defense was ridiculous fast, and mean. Our offense was fast, and mean. And they both knew how to excel at the basics.

I'm sure there are places where the team stats are available, but I'm wondering if that info is available on HB? If not, might make a nice sticky post at the top of the Football page.

I wasn't trying to bring down the whole thing it's always fun to watch since I was only two years old when this game was played. It is amazing how much the game has changed since then though. Jeez Clyde..make me feel like a fool and open my eyes. I tend to forget (a sign of my age)...that not everyone remembers being at those games. Yes it is....for Michigan. I see a future where we have a great game, we pull out some previously unseen wrinkles on offense and we have a defensive scheme that actually works against D Robinson. It is our turn around game..and after the loss...Michigan's house of cards unfolds...others see what we did to beat them and UM loses three more games to end the year. So yes...it is a must win for them.

You're honor! I'd like this statement stricken from the record! Too late dude... Changing coaches would set us back. Way back. With Callahan there were many games where we knew we couldn't win the game. With every game with Pelini at the helm, I feel we have a shot to win so long as we do not shoot ourselves in the foot. Unfortunately, we do shoot oursleves in the foot way too often. I think the better plan is to give Bo time to fix this and see what needs to be changed either from a scheme, his own coaching or his asisstants. If we fire Pelini, like many have said, we will look like fools once again and nobody is going to want to coach here. To the OP, you are full of it...you have been against Pelini from day 1 on here... I don't question that I may be "full of it"...most of us on here are full of it..not doubt about that. I do question the "against Pelini from day 1 on here...". I know I've probably questioned him at times and made a tongue in cheek comment about "Fire Bo, Dig up Bob"....but I guess I'd like to see any evidence of overwhelming comments indicating I've "been against Pelini from day 1 on here..." Entirely horrible games the last two weeks. No fundamentals (except the D did shine a bit against NW). We have a history of being and up and down team. Despite winning against NW, that was a down performance no doubt. The story of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde goes on. We down the mysterious red fluid in the lab and come out as maniacal beasts on the field. Huskers 38 Wolverines 23 And a tip of the hat to Michigan posters....what a fine, generally civil bunch. Well done.

I was so impressed with their win last night, I set up an account on the Wildcats message board. I posted congratulations and got great responses and one jerk that hasn't learned how to take winning yet. But the real funny thing I wanted to share was another thread on their site. It was titled "K-State and and the Mayans"...the OP said he could see it all clearly now...K-State would make be named for the BCS game, only to have the Mayans be correct and the world ends before they get to the game. Another follow up poster said "Yep, K-State National Championship contenders = Apocalypse!" It had me chuckling pretty good.

A good portion of me feels that same way. This is the first time I've felt it was time for a change. There is indeed a huge argument for making no change....but how long do we carry on as it. And as I write that last line, I realize I've kind of bought into the whole..."we should be Champions every year"....we should probably be content with 9 - 3, 8 - 4 and occasional 10 -2 years. I am old enough to remember the mid 60s when a winning season was an acceptable goal...and my big red love was as strong then as during the haydays. Hard to tell what is right.

I do think the situation is different. It seems quite often that Bo has lost this team and there are fundamental flaws that are not being addressed, which was not the case with Solich..we were just mediocre...solid, but mediocre. Even so..Frank shouldn't have been fired. To me, this is different. Of course..at this particular moment..I'm one of the biggest Pelini, Beck, Martinez, Paps and Cotton fans there is. Such is my weakness for a win! Heh heh....
