Huskerfan92, I am not ready to fire Riley yet. He runs a completely different system then Bo. I still believe that he can do good things with his own players in here. It's hard to run a pro style offense with a QB that is an "athlete". We have to give the guy time. I don't want to cut him loose yet. In a few years, if things aren't improving and he isn't making the necessary changes, then yes! If you look at the first half of the season we were on lucks bad side. If we started out 4 or 5-0 would we even be having this convo. Most likely not.

I for one am sick of all the Fire Mike Riley comments! Anybody with half a brain needs to realize that will never happen until at least year 3! The university is not going to payout 3 different salaries for HC's-it's just won't happen. With that being said, why all the "Fire Mike Riley" talk? He didn't fire Bo, and hire himself. This was done by that clown SE. He is the one that needs to go! He is the one setting us back another decade at the very least! He and Perlman are a joke and need to be removed from the program! Perlman should have hired an AD with Nebraska ties, ie ex player or coach. Even if SE would have made a good hire at HC he will still be jumping ship to Wiscy as soon as that job becomes available. We need to find the right AD! Firing Riley won't do anything. Eichorst will just bring in another lackluster HC putting the same type of product on the field. This is Fing NEBRASKA! There is no excuse for this! Sorry for my rant! I am becoming very frustrated with the state of the program! How much more of this crap are we going to take. SE needs to go now, and Perlman needs to rush into retirement.

If SE is going after a coach that has coached this past weekend, don't you think we would have heard about him asking for permission to speak with said coach? This is why I am thinking Sweater Vest is the leading candidate. Just a thought! GO BIG RED!

I was a huge Bo supporter from day one. As of today my support and belief in Bo is fading. Jason Peter does have a big mouth at times, but I do agree with his comments. I hope Bo can check his ego at the door and get us back to being an elite program.

TO wasn't making millions either. It's different today. We pay these coaches a ton of money to win NOW, not in 3 or 4 or 20 years. Why can't we recruit SEC type players? LSU, and Bama keep reloading, OU stays in the hunt every year, and so should we. Bo needs to step his game up before we start losing all of our recruits to Ohio St., Michigan and Wisconsin. Also, if it's a 5-10 year upward battle then what happened to Turner Gill at KU. They too want to compete and win NOW, not in 10 years. do you honestly feel like KU made a good decision? No, I don't. But the word is some people did not like Turner being hired. He was under a microscope right off the bat. He had to win big right away to stand a chance. My point is you can't wait 5-10 years today. There is too much money involved. When you lose, these programs lose big. It's all a business now.

If you enjoy not making bowl games then by all means let's re-hire BC. I'm not saying I want BC back, but mediocrity is not what I want either. Next yr we may not make a bowl game. T-Ragic at QB, Cotton continuing to be a $hitty line coach, and JP not knowing what the hell he's doing. I can't wait!

Bo needs to check his F***ing ego at the door! Stop saying we did't execute well. How about we were awful today! We were out coached! Changes need to be made for us to get to the next level! Stop with the execution crap. Next year we better win big and get to the B1G Champ. game or Bo needs to be on the hot seat. I am very worried about next year! Bo needs to check his ego at the door, get his $hit together and stop hiring/promoting friends. Next year we could very well end up being a .500 team. Special Teams was a problem during the Capital One Bowl, and guess who was in charge of that? The new DC, JP. Can't wait to see what the D is going to look like next year! JP is not ready to be a DC for a major program. T-Ragic might get a bit better, but he isn't going to be a superstar like people thought his freshman year. He isn't a leader, he isn't confident, and it looks like his running game has regressed. And where do I begin with his passing?! Bo better start looking at different options at QB. We can't rely on Burkhead all year long. Cotton needs to be fired, but TO won't let that happen. Cotton has been a big part of the University for some time now, and unless he is willing to take an admistrative position he will be the line coach until all hell breaks lose. Major changes need to be made this off-season, but I feel like Bo's ego will get in the way. He will NEVER admit when he's wrong. 9 wins just plain sucks! There is no reason we weren't in the B1G Champ. game and a BCS game as well this year. We didn't bring Bo in to keep a mediocre program. That is why we fired Billy C. I don't see a huge difference yet between Bo and Billy C. We are still getting blown out when we lose games, and we are still losing games that we should have never lost. 9 wins was great 20 years ago, but in an age of 12-13 game seasons 9 just won't do! I love my Huskers and want to get back on top. This medicority can not continue much longer.

"You're starting to hear Pelini say that trophies aren't everything." Does this bother anybody else that Bo said this? I think it's great he is focused on the kids academics and their representation of the university and the state of Nebraska. But we also brought him in to win trophies/championships. That's why he's making a $hitload of money as a coach, not just to be a mentor, but a CHAMPION!
