If You Listen Closely.....You can actually HEAR the slurp, slurp, slurp as Sipple performs fellatio on Erstad as you read this article. While most of that article is about Erstad and offers nothing new other than Sipple's assurance that Erstad continues in the long line of coaches who have Sipple's undying loyalty for doing nothing other than being hired..... He does make a comment that Scott Spinelli is apparently one of the rumored candidates to replace Sadler. I have two problems with this. Once again, Sipple touts Spinelli's supposed recruiting prowess, while only being able to point to Aleks Maric as ANY talent Spinelli brought into Nebraska under Collier. Secondly, is Tom Osborne physically unable to hire a head coach that doesn't have some prior ties to Nebraska? And why is having ties to Nebraska important as the basketball coach?

If we're going to use Anderson as an example, then all that shows if that Tom fires guys about three years too late.

OK. Well, Doc hasn't done that. So we can fire him.

May want to at least give him a few games before we rank his prowess as a coach...................... There was simply no reason to hire him. There is NO WAY that Tom made the hire based on his prowess as a coach. Because he literally has NO resume as a coach. How could ANYONE know what kind of coach he is? I'm talking about the hire itself. There were plenty of accomplished and successful coaches who wanted this job. Tom admitted that himself. To hire a dude who had never even been a paid coach was simply idiotic. Nebraska as a program should never have to be the proving ground. Proven coaches should come here. Tom has now treated two different teams as if we need to hire an up and coming coach as opposed to one who has actually been proven. It makes no sense

If that doesn't infuriate anyone who actually cares about the basketball team, I don't know what will. If Doc is retained after this season, then Tom needs to step down.

He was an absolutely idiotic hire. Tom Osborne was a fantastic head coach. He's a horrible AD

If Doc Sadler is here for another seven years, then someone in the athletic department forgot we had a basketball team. He's not a good coach. People forget the man was only hired because Collier quit waaaay too late for us to get a good coach.
