  1. No . . . it's fine. I suppose it's easier for a certain type to deny defeat. Plus they can always retreat to the echo chamber rather than face reality. In fact, that's exactly what I expect if Obama is re-elected. Obama didn't really win. Voter fraud. ACORN. Soros voting machines. Etc. It's all rather sad from the outside looking in. LOL...I'm not the one coming on here as soon as you can claiming victory. I said it was a draw and it appears through polls that more people in this world agree with me. Maybe you should take off your donkey glasses and not be so biased. Only a biased person would believe one side, without question, won that debate last night. Biden being a condescending asshat is a side note to all of this. Of course, people who aren't blindly convinced that the Dems are winning everything already knew that.
  2. You guys are laughable on this one. Biden interrupted Ryan 82 times in a 90 minute debate. Now, if I remember correctly, Ryan talked 38 minutes. That means that Biden interrupted him every 27 seconds while he was talking. That doesn't even count totally looking like an azzhat sitting there laughing and smirking. It proves one thing. Biden as VP is Obama's best security blanket. NOBODY wants anything to happen to Obama because Biden would be next in line.
  3. Interrupting the moderator is totally different than every time your opposition tries to say something you interrupt him.
  4. It's no wonder why we got our butts handed to us in the second half! First time I saw a video of that. That was damn funny. Props to Maher.
  5. I think his team showed plenty of weakness on Saturday. Admitting it frustrated them would hardly make it any worse. I said his in game demeanor has improved. However, spitting mad rants on the sideline don't show "football passion" they show a person incapable of controlling their temper and I fail to see how this "quality" has done much to fire up the team. Lying, in my experience, is a bad idea all around. It's a sad reality that telling the truth is seen as "showing weakness." That's where we have our differences, if someone blows their cover, multiple times, I don't have a problem with him ranting on the sideline to that said player. You do wrong, you point it out. Now people take the context of him yelling last week, just like they did against the TAMU game with Martinez. Discipline is a thing he has enforced and will continue to force. Your a STARTER, you shouldn't be making mistakes like that. I have not seen Pelini lie, but I have seen him avoid an answer, which is something ALL coaches do when they are frustrated. He has stated that its his fault, the coaches fault for that loss at OSU, and it trickled down to the players, what else do you want? Want him to go on Dr. Phil and express his true feelings? OMG...a football coach yelled at a player on the side lines. This should make ESPNs 30 30 program.
  6. I hate to break it to you, but Romney didn't win the debate last week. He's an idiot and didn't say anything. Wow.......even Obama's own campaign is saying he got slaughtered last week. Even Obama himself said it wasn't a good night for him.
  7. you obviously don't understand why I put that word in quotation marks.
  8. Lol...I have my opinion and these people don't change that.
  9. The humorous part of these events is always the spin doctors after its over.
  10. Biden did not win that debate. At best it was a draw. I find it funny that you think Biden won when not one other " expert" i'm listening to on CNN thinks so.
  11. OMG.....You actually put that in writing.
  12. I don't care if you agree with him out not. But, he is one of the most annoying people to watch debate.
  13. I have many relatives who have many friends and family across the country and an overwhelming majority have an extreme dislike for Obama and Havre a fear of him bring reelected. They view Romney as a great change. America hates Obama.
  14. So, what you are saying is that there is no beginning of time? Wow...talk about faith.
  15. I disagree with your definition of faith. As I'm sure the scientific community would have issue with your calling the origins of the universe something the human brain can't comprehend. Because if you're saying we are unable to comprehend it, then why say it's an intelligent form....or a god? More specifically, the Christian god. How are you able to comprehend that it is what you say it is? There are many scientists who DO have hypotheses on those specific questions. Many of them are working to find evidence to support their hypothesis and many probably already can point to their evidence that they believe supports it. We don't know everything and may never. This universe has been around too long. It's like trying to solve a murder trillions of years in the past. There's a LOT of work that needs to be done. You can find a lot of information over at http://talkorigins.org/ And eventually you have to explain where your god came from. What is what Junior was asking originally. The thing is I can see how someone would jump to the conclusion that it is a higher power. We're curious beings that need answers (and need them NOW, especially in this day of age). So a lot of people are not happy with "I don't know"...and decide to make up their own explanation. And a god seems to fit that bill. But it's an ever receding answer that's been used since the first questions about the world we live in. God explained EVERYTHING in our world. He caused the rain, the lightening, the famines, the floods, death, birth, etc. When science starting explaining things, god just got pushed back bit by bit. The great thing about science is that it's fine with "I don't know." Because "I don't know " means the answer is still out there and we have a chance of finding it! But it still makes people comfortable to use god to explain what they cannot. And not only a god, but you define a specific god. We live in a natural world governed by natural laws. And even though scientists can't explain everything, we DO know we can't settle on supernatural magic being the explanation for everything. Especially since there has never been evidential support for magic ever. And saying "i don't know, therefore, god"...is not a way to answer these questions that we are all interested in. At some point in time in our history, there was nothing, then there was something. That takes faith. It might not be in a higher power. But, then it takes faith in believing something that the human mind can't comprehend. Faith doesn't need to be tied to a religion if that is what are implying.
  16. OMG....Comish...Don't you remember how so many people thought people around the world would start loving us once Bush was out and Obama was in? Heck, he even was given the Nobel Peace Prize because we would now have world peace. All he needed to do is buy the world a Coke.
  17. Facts are demonstrable. Show me. Look at almost every election for decades. Almost every message the Democrats have put out is based on the lowly average person being down trodden by the evil managerial class. What is their answer to everything? Tax the rich. Those evil rich people are taking advantage of you lowly employees. That upper class is taking all of your money and they have power over you. WE as the Democratic party fight for you and will take care of you. Funny thing is, that Democratic party that acts like it is going to take care of all those sorry people who can't take care of themselves is ruled by a bunch of rich people who got rich on the backs of those lowly poor people. Almost the entire Democratic platform is based on the premise that...."you can't take care of yourself, we can do it for you"....."I feel your pain" (spoken in Bill Clinton broken whiny voice) And what is the Republicans' answer? Give tax breaks to the rich. Tell me how this is not "class warfare," just from a different angle? The very term "class warfare" was used first by McCain to incite the base back in 2008. It's still going strong today, but it's as inane of an overstatement today as it was back then. It's hyperbolic hyperbole. I know it's easier to just follow the herd and regurgitate the phrases you hear, but stop and think about how unnecessarily inflammatory that phrase is. There are differences in philosophy between Conservatives and Liberals. We should be working to overcome or understand those differences, not fanning the flames of rhetoric by spewing out garbage like this. Work to make this a better America, stop being part of the problems driving us apart. Not to mention that the actual facts show that if there is class warfare it is the rich who are winning. I find it amazing that these focus groups and message packagers can so simplify things that people will willingly embrace a mindless slogan rather than analyzing the issue. Crazy. Again: if there's class warfare, it's the rich who are winning . . . just look at the income gains in the past decade. LOL Thanks for helping me prove my point.

  19. I know there have been multiple threads about what is wrong with the program but I have been thinking about this for some time and didn't really find a thread it fit into. If you think about it, when Bo took over the program, the offense was clicking along and the defense was struggling. His first task was to fix the defense and within a short period of time all of a sudden we had a stud defense that was loaded with talent and that basically shut down everyone. The problem was that we had an offense then that was struggling and couldn't score so we lost some games mainly because we didn't have play makers on offense. That meant that his attention then went to fixing the offense. Within a couple of years we have improvements on offense and they are scoring many points because we are loaded with play makers on offense but now the defense is struggling because they don't have play makers. Which leads me to my question. Are our problems based around the fact that Bo is having a hard time balancing the talent on both sides of the ball? Should have some of the talent on the offense been switched to the defense in the last year or two to balance it out? Is there more of a balance coming down the road with the young guys we have on both sides of the ball?
  20. You only replied with emoticons... no points were made. I respect your views and opinions. I believe you have formed them through your own experiences and search for truths. If you aren't interested in my views and opinions simply because you've heard them on a cable news channel... ...well that's sad. I got the impression you were more open minded than that. For the record, I can't stand "newstainment" so I actively try to avoid TV news on all channels. There's something about ASSuming and making ASSumpitions we should both try to avoid.... Not apologizing. Think what you want. That "class warfare" derp is a hallmark of Fox News. Or a Luntzian creation - take your pick. I frankly don't care where it came from, it's nonsense and anyone who repeats it has no place discussing how "open-minded" anyone else is. BS...it's not a Foxnews fabrication. It is a fact that Democrats have perfected class warfare.
  21. it is incredible he still wants this job. however, if america elects romney, we get what we deserve. It really is incredible. Many times when someone realizes they are completely in way over their head they will bow out and admit it. obviously that was not my point. also, when has anyone ever done that, anyway? where exactly do you think obama has been way over his head? The entire last four years.
  22. Not to be facetious, that's fine by me if you believe in a higher power who created the universe. I've just had this question that I've never heard answered by someone who believes in creation: By the same logic of "how life is formed from a sterile rock and prove to me where the first mass of matter came from that exploded and formed the Universe".... where did this deity come from? He just... existed? Forever? How did he come to "life", for lack of a better term? Not being facetious at all. You pointed out my point. BOTH sides rely on a certain level of faith or believing in something that the human brain is completely unable to comprehend. I believe that this is because a higher power exists that can do things we can't imagine. The problem with someone that is completely 100% science is that they have no answers for those questions that the human brain can not comprehend. Eventually, they have to explain where that piece of rock came from that supposedly exploded and caused the start of the chemical reaction that created life, and, what caused that explosion. So....pardon me if I tend to believe a higher power must be involved in that process.
  23. This is exactly right. Diesel trucks over 9000GVW were exempt from most pollution controls. They closed most of that loop hole, and went one step further in requiring the heavy particulate matter to be captured as well. This sapped power, and made for expensive emissions upgrades. The new Ford diesels have a tank you need to fill with water and ammonia, GM has something similar, but the Dodge Cummings passed the test without it, they use some sort of trap... The problem is all of them have the traps, in some form, we have 5 5500 Dodges, and those traps fill up quickly, if you dont drive down the road and keep them hot, the particulate matter collects and clogs it. We almost died in Ohio went the filter got completely blocked, and caused us to lose all power, while running at highway speeds. This issue is so bad that the Dodges now have a sensor that automatically raises the RPM if you leave it in park for to long, this keeps enough heat in the trap. Our 5500s dont have that, we've had to put flanges on the pipe, we pull the element out, and when the sniff test is due, through it back in a few days before hand, this costs about $1000 per truck, although once done, you can pull the trap and clean it on your own. Funny, this was explained to me this morning. Basically, the new trucks are required to have this trap/filter on the exhaust. I had it explained to me that it is like putting 50 cocktail straws in your mouth and trying to blow out. The air is restricted and can get clogged very easily. The Chevy trucks from 2008 through 2010 had this issue where if you don't keep them hot the exhaust clogs up. The urea additive is supposed to help this but it wasn't added till 2011. What I am hearing that many guys are doing is once the warranty is gone, they are taking this mechanism off the trucks and chipping them.
