"Five years of lazy recruiting has caught up to Pelini." ^^^^^^^^^^ THIS^^^^^^^ I know a big Miami fan who says Randy Shannon did the same things there that Bo is doing at Nebraska.Recruiting kids from alma maters,grabbing multiple teammates from the same school,etc...We are lacking depth on the d-line,linebacker and safety. I am no expert but in the offseason,if the coaches want speed they need to make position switches and stay with them.I liked what Washington has done this year,young team holding their own on defense excpet for Oregon game(but who can stop them really) They moved a bunch of safeties to linebacker,created a rush position and basically run a really fast 3-4,not an oversized one like the steelers or bama. proposed position changes: Max Pirman OLB to RUSH Greg McMullen DE to DT Harvey Jackson S to OLB LeRoy Alexander S to OLB Mohammad Seisay CB to S 2013 Courtney Love OLB to RUSH 2013 Christian Lecourtore DT to DE in 3-4 running downs,dt in pass down 2013 Nathan Gerry S to OLB

This is the cycle of college football.Team starts rising and devoloping talent,high school kids in state see that and start to work out more and become bigger,faster,etc....It happened at Miami in the 80's,FSU in the 90's and continued today with SEC teams including Bama and LSU....It's all based on prior work folks,thats it. You want the secret to beat Bama,recruit grown ass men.They have teenagers who act,lift,play and talk like adults,no soft spoken lightweights need apply.We need the same damn kids to buy into our program and we need Bo to recruit an Sec coach to come here and recruit those kids for us next year on defense.

wtf is "running up the score" this is football,not baseball or criquet or any other panzy sport....This is a game of will,of domination,and of power...Hell we use to blow people out all the time,I hate Ohio State,hate em,but Urban did nothing wrong with not calling off the dogs.It's his job to coach and it's our job to stop him.Plain and simple. Don't worry though Urban,get your licks in now,get your licks in now,because the time will come.There will be hell to pay,and the Blackshirts will be there to collect their dues.Broken bones and all.

I don't really care who plays at any position next year or this year as long they play lights out.....we are nebraska,the kids should be afraid of the next guy stepping up and taking their jobs,so they should be competing week in,week out and that goes for T Magic and Rex and Kenny Bell and anyone else.

Getting to the championship game will help,we need to stop recruiting Ohio so much though,imo.The skilled lineman are down south and Nebraska is a national brand,so why are we not recruiting in the south more? Imagine a defense with a mix of georgia,alabama,louisiana,texas,florida & california kids with homegrown huskers mixed in? In order to get past Ohio St. in the future,we need to recruit like Urban Meyer does at Ohio State

I will keep saying this for as long as I'm a husker fan.In order to dominate the big ten,we have to think outside the big ten.Recruit most lineman,linebackers and running backs from sec country & texas,recruit everyone else from california,midwest,new jersey,pennslyvania,florida,etc.

Just want to say I am a B1G Husker fan from out here in Massachusetts,where we have horrible high school & college football.I usually stay away from message boards but NU's struggles lately have led me to comment a bit. My expectations for Nebraska football is to always: 1.) compete for conference championships 2.) compete for national championships & respect 3.) recruit the type of student athlete that fits the mold of the Nebraska people and midwest(went to college in ohio) 4.) continue the strong walk on program 5.) play hard and to dominate on defense We have not done the last part lately and there needs to be changes made in recruiting and on the defensive staff. THIS UNIT IS CALLED THE BLACKSHIRTS,IT'S SUPPOSE TO BE INTIMIDATING AND MEAN AND AGGRESSIVE.WE ARE SUPPOSE TO ATTACK OUR OPPONENTS THE SAME WAY THE PIRATES DID AS THEY FLEW THE JOLLY ROGERS HIGH AND PROUD IN THE 1700'S.

I think Coach Dobson & staff are on the right track,the real problem is staffs around the country are copying the Nebraska bluebrint for strength & speed training.The hope is,per the video on thisisnebraska.com,that the strength staff is developing new things to give Nebraska back that edge.
