  1. he can as long as the hiring institution can "show cause" for why they shouldn't be sanctioned for hiring him. Would have to sit out first 5 games and bowl game unless it's negotiated down or out by the school. You would think if we were going that route we would have gone down that road already
  2. Not really they would just have to "show cause" for why they shouldn't be sanctioned for hiring him and he couldn't coach the first 5 games or bowl game, unless it's negotiated out and it could be
  3. Tim Beckham at Illinois. He's on the hot seat. He would be a fabulous OC They extended him today
  4. I'm gonna be angry if it's bilema, such a dousche, getting the sinking feeling it is
  5. Guys that haven't used a redshirt, and are not JUCO transfers, next years eligibility SR Imani Cross JR Terrell Newby Cethan Carter Maliek Collilns Kevin Maurice Josh Bandaras Nate Gerry SO Demornay Pierson-El Chris Jones Kieron Williams Drew Brown Josh Kalu
  6. You may get your wish... Yup heard it's done deal, who knows but who I heard it from is interesting
  7. So I don't have many "sources" but I do know a guy "somewhat" in the know who said it's tressel, decision has already been made. No clue if it's true but this is the first time he has said anything this interesting.
  8. Look at anyone that hasn't burned a redshirt, don't have to burn a year of eligibility.
  9. Looking at the players reaction makes me realize how far the standards have fallen. The problem is all of us have been fans long before they were here and long after they are gone. All of them are talking about the 9 wins every year, they don't get it, and it's not their fault that the tradition and standard hasn't been ingrained in them. But we need someone that will provide there will always be this disconnect between the players and fans
  10. Interesting set of comments @FootballScoop: Bo went to administration & told them it couldnt go on like it has for the past year. Something had to change. Eichorst pulled trigger. @FootballScoop: This wasnt about Bo being unwilling to make staff changes or anything, this was way bigger. http://t.co/sNnVtz3C1h @FootballScoop: Think what you want to think about the results on the field; but you have to like how Bo Pelini stands up for what he feels is right. @FootballScoop: He might not go about things in the smoothest fashion; but he believes in what he believes in and he stands up for what he thinks is right @FootballScoop: Bo felt change needed to happen for Nebraska football to get to the top. He knew this was a possibility but didnt want this outcome. @FootballScoop: I think jumping to a conclusion that Scott Frost is the answer is the wrong thing to do in this situation. Eichorst has been eyeing others..
  11. @Muessel: Bo Pelini had been fired from Nebraska, effective immediately per the university. #Huskers
  12. I think this premise is ridiculous. We will have a team that beats the best, but loses to the worst? Highly unlikely. Next to impossible. So I didn't vote.Hmm so highly unlikely that we could have beat Mich St this year but lost to Rutgers or Illinois? Doesn't seem next to impossible
  13. Visiting tOSU this weekend, said "it's the only other school I'm considering " and " I'll make a decision soon and not leave either school waiting" Doesn't sound like talk from someone who is real solid
  14. Part of the thought process was people talking about how unrealistic husker fans are in their expectations. I think k the opposite that we have way more realistic expectations than people think. OK let's say this if you don't like the choices and can't force yourself to think about them. Rank from top to bottom the 5 most important things that would happen with your team over let's say a 10-12 year period (avoid the obvious that everyone would love natl champ, winning every game etc...)
  15. I wanted to do an rank the order of importance poll, I thought that would be easier but I don't think you can, unless someone tells me otherwise
  16. Productive comment thanks for the advice on how to make it better...
  17. Thanks for the helpful critique maybe give a suggestion as to what would be better wording
  18. Some nerdy analytical friends of mine are trying to create a coach ranking system out of data based on what is important to fans. Just doing it for fun but I figured this would be a good place to start gathering data. Please vote on the above Edit: changed wording of first question 34-1 before change
  19. Pretty sobering and interesting read, we are what we are so to speak http://regressing.deadspin.com/few-teams-have-been-more-mediocre-than-nebraska-1635492998?utm_campaign=socialflow_deadspin_twitter&utm_source=deadspin_twitter&utm_medium=socialflow
  20. Becuase........... He's coached in this generation. He's won a sh#t ton of conference titles in this generation (like 8 in ten years if I'm not mistaken). And he's won BCS bowls in this generation. And I wouldnt call his offense "boring". That's such a copout. And a rhetoric for something you dont want. Was Wisconsins offense boring against Nebraska? Were Osborne's offenses boring? There's nothing "boring" about success. And Tressel has been that EVERY WHERE HE'S BEEN. Eh...I'm all set with him...Not a fan of retreads, I think we could do better And there is a reason the term "tresselball" became a thing. I think the people that push him are the same ones that get mad because we don't use a fullback and always refer to the fact that "we did x in the 90's" we need to do it now. I think we are a PC in a MAC world right now and would just like to see us move forward Except macs suck doney testes.Winning is not boring and if you don't think he could build on what Pelini has set up but can't finish, I don't know what to tell you. Lol, then insert whatever needs updating analogy of your choosing.I have no idea if he could or not and no one does, I'm just saying he wouldn't be my choice because I feel like our program could use some updating, I could think of worse choices but to me he would be...eh...not mad about it not excited about it. I think we need some excitement injected into our fan base and he wouldn't do it for me (not saying he wouldn't for others, just a difference in opinion)

  22. Someone enlighten me as to how a 62 year old coach with a show cause and a history of boring offenses will bring us into this generation, like we need
