  1. Just trying to pin you down to a actual offense philosophy. You never really give one. Just a bunch of hodgepodge answers. Most are usually well thought out but never seem to actually pick a preferred offense.
  2. Elf look up the percentages of tun to pass those years that you say we we're a pro style offense. I've already done it before. All of them ran it at a 70% plus clip.
  3. I'd like to see us run the ball 65 to 70% of the time but it's not just percentages. I want to see us impose our will on lesser teams. I'm all for throwing the ball but not 40 times a game. It's not physical or punishing to a opposing defenses. Alabama throws the ball but they have a identity. They are a power running team. Recently read a article where they interviewed Tom Osborne where He talked about not always having more talent than the opposing team but being more physical was something that they could control. You never hear about Texas Tech being physical.
  4. Ans what are you bringing to the conversation Elf? I've been pretty consistent in my belief that running the ball is the best way to win games. My theory is backed up by 40 years of success here.
  5. I understand it's a perfectly fine play btw but what are we trying to be? We have no identity. If we can't line up there and get 5 yards on Wyoming in 4 plays then we have no business saying we want to be a running team.
  6. Are you running for office Guy? Lol! You still have answered my question. If you are calling the plays what do you call there?
  7. And you would expect the coaches to know what players are making the plays.
  8. You didn't answer my question Guy. What play are you calling there. Just curious
  9. What play are you calling on first down at the 4 yard line Guy? I was pretty happy with the game overall but that playcall is why I have little faith in Langsdorf.
  10. He's saying that the coaching staff could help Tommy be more successful by establishing A running game so that he is looking at more single coverage and doesn't have to throw into double coverage.
  11. I'll be honest I think your football IQ is almost nonexistent so I'm not really surprised by any of your posts. But when you imply that Mavric is calling for a non passing offense you just prove my point. Thank you.
  12. You must argue with yourself a lot then because your stuff is borderline jibberish.
  13. I need to get down there for a game. That's the kind of stuff that doesn't come across on tv and its my favorite part of the game.
  14. Are you delusional GBR? Not saying that we shouldn't throw the ball. Saying that was a terrible play call. If Riley really wants to be a running team isn't that the perfect time to impose your will on a weaker opponent? The funny thing is people are worried about almost interceptions but are fine with Langsdorf calling 36 pass plays. Makes very little sense.
  15. I was just thinking about that Mav and it was hard to tell from TV when I rewatched it this morning but it did appear that we were running quite a bit of cover 3 and I believe Banker said as much during fall camp. If they keep the turnovers coming we will have a good chance to win some football games this year.
  16. The one thing I know for sure was that we got zero points out of that drive because we threw it.
  17. That's why I said most likely Elf or did you miss that. You guys can make all the excuses you want for the call but it still doesn't make it a good one.
  18. Is it not the coaches job to help their players be successful? Pretty much every person on this site agrees that Tommy makes some bad decisions. So why ask him to throw when we have Ozigbo? At least if you run it up the gut three times you most likely get points out of the drive.
  19. No doubt Tommy's pic was a terrible decision but I'm curious why nobody seems to be questioning the play call. First down from the 4 yard line. These are the situations that I question our commitment to the running game.
  20. It's a terrible play call. 1st down at the 4 yard line. That's where you need to be able to run the ball.
  21. Tommy got Langsdorfed. Terrible decision no doubt but a even worse play call.
  22. Source for practice? I was under impression from papers that Newby was the clear number 1.
