Back in December, how in the world did you predict Michael Decker would not be in the 2-deep, and it would be Conrad/Hunter at center? Cam Taylor was a HS QB, and you correctly got him second string at CB behind Bootle. Also, wasn’t Collin Miller being projected at OLB before spring practice?

Measureables and playing history seems similar to Matt Anderson. 6'7" 250-60 lbs TE converted to OT. I wonder what the difference is that the staff sees Anderson at OT and Banks at DE? Something Dave Ellis might have insights on in terms of projecting based on frame.

I just came across their RB recruiting board and they had them listed in order.  Thompkins was 4th on their board but the guy posting it said that they want him to visit.  

In Pappoe's thread, it was mentioned that Schaef alluded to a potential visit to Nebraska.

According to 247, he is the 106th ranked recruit in this class in the state of Georgia. Imagine, Nebraska having 100+ mid-three star or better rated prospects in state (29 four and 4 five stars)!

Raridon was 290 lbs last season in the media guide and is now listed at 320 lbs. 30 lbs is still a lot to add in a year.

This post is obviously a joke, but I don’t get it. So, here is a link showing official stats from the ACCAC season last year. It has Fair recorded for 98 total tackles, and 23 tackles in one game against Scottsdale CC. 5 tackles against Snow.

Woohoo, we’re getting a recruit at a position of need!

Maybe they should have a deadline for changing or locking in predictions that is retroactive to the commitment. Say, a week or so. Many times you see "predictions" flying in with a day (or a few hours) before a commitment. Not much of a prediction, if you hear about a commitment before it becomes public.

Hmmm, well ... another moderator, @Mavric, posted an update on July 4th of the Current Scholarships/Commits.  It is taken from the ***2019 Recruiting*** thread.  

 

As I've followed this position, it seemed we had a need both in the short term and the long.  My perception and understanding was that Desmond Bland met that need in the short term to replace Farmer or Foster next year.  On the list below we have Mavric has WIlliam Putnam on the list as the other OG/C for that position.  I assumed since Putnam was on this list and he was around the #5 ranked guy at that position (247: #133 Overall; #5 OG; ) that he was probably at the top of the  recruiting board.  FYI, why would NOT  have him at the top of our board?

 

Thus, Mr. Moderator ... what's with the jab (it feels like one) at a fan asking for the guru's who are "in the know" if there is any update on this guy?  It's been around a month or more since Bland committed and I was just curious if there was any updated info.  As you even stated, "There has been zero activity with this guy since Frost’s staff arrived in Lincoln."  To me ... that is very weird seeing that he is a guy who has been in for a visit and loved it, has a relationship with the former Husker OL Brian Pruitt and we already wiffed on that position last year. I'm curious to ask why are you implying I'm "assuming he is at the top of Nebraska's OG list" when as a fan that is the only understanding to come to based off the posted information from moderators like Mavric.

 

Do we have an issue to work out in private or am I just reading something into this?  Hmmm.  I'd love to be educated, taught and informed ... please do so.

Glad you are using the board. However, I asked why would you assume Putnam is at the top of Nebraska's board, not Huskerboard's board? Obviously, as fans, we look at stars and rankings more than the coaches, who do their own evaluations. So, to say "look at those stars" means little as it pertains to a true argument to convince me that Nebraska is interested. Second, my post is not to dog you specifically, but to ask the question, "where is the evidence that Nebraska under Frost is interested in Putnam"? Your post prompted me to look for any news that Nebraska is making in roads with Putnam, I can not find anything. Maybe there are reports offered by recruiting services with a paywall (which I do not subscribe to), but beyond that, there is nothing to validate your comment.

Sorry to hear about this frustrating situation. I would pursue both opinions you outline. Depending on the nature of your relationship with your former/prospective boss, you may have another conversation specifically about your difficulty interacting with their company's HR women. If anything, you may be able to get an email address to direct your inquiries toward. Still, there is no harm re-opening your job search to create alternative opinions.

Maybe he is "committing" to release a Top 5, or there was a recruit that released a Top 5 list by saying he is "committing" to these 5 schools. Either way, the old man part of my brain is yelling...
