  1. Save this post so we don't have to debate grading defensive performance in season. Chinander ranks defensive success based on TFL, TO, sacks, and limiting explosive plays. He does not care about total yards and is accepting of errors. Also, Frost will tell Chinander to pull starters in the end of games to promote development and depth, sacrificing defensive stats.
  2. Rivals puts a check under the "School Offer" column, if the school offered. As of right now, Iowa has not.
  3. He's got the Top 4 Big Ten schools, plus the home school, in his list. I could see why Nebraska is not among those schools (right now).
  4. A prospect like that, and Iowa has not even offered?! You hate to see it.
  5. I was just joking to have some fun with this conversation...as my suggestion to use a mystical creature would imply. Reading my comment, I could see how my dry humor could be misinterpreted. I threw in a sarcasm sign to my last post to make the tone of the comment is known.
  6. Yeah, right. Like that has anything to do with it. They were at Oregon when they came up with the position name (Oregon Ducks). If what you said was true, it would be called "Griffin-R". Get real.
  7. Sounds good. Print it! But, you have to say it with the letter "R" not "husker"
  8. Not really a circus catch in that clip. He jumped and made a slight adjustment back to the ball.
  9. Grab that cash with both hands and make a stash
  10. If it makes you feel better, he is currently rated a .86. At 6'4", he may be a littler under-sized for OT. Maybe he would project higher at guard.
  11. Maybe, but I have definitely forgot people’s last name, even when we share one. With how many coaches are contacting him and the fact that Coach Williams is no longer at Nebraska, I am not surprised he forgot.
  12. To be fair, Kenny Wilhite is still on staff and helps recruit the St Louis area, so it might be easier for Jameson to recall his name vs a coach canned last fall.
  13. I have coached youth wrestling for over 10 years, ages 5-17. We stress fundamentals above everything else from Day 1, and I never get resistance from teaching them. Of course, it may be a difference in sports, as in wrestling, you teach a technique plus a counter. Thus, the athletes get real-time feedback of the concequences to a failure in fundamentals. Still, when you are wrestling live matches, there are a lot of situational moments during scrambles or chaining that the wrestler with the best fundamentals wins nearly everytime. I have coached multiple state championships, and those kids grind fundamentals. No way would I ever expect to hear one of them complain.
  14. Yeah, I agree. It has been lackluster so far. I will sit back and wait to judge too harshly, given that it is June, but it has my attention.
  15. How hard can you recruit someone, if you don't offer them?
  16. Got it. +1 I do think the comment "There's no place like Eugene" is interesting because who says that? But, I don't really care that much to read too much into anything a recruit says.
  17. It is a good sign for Nebraska (or Notre Dame potentially) that coming off a visit weekend, he announces a decision date. I am guessing (in a purely speculative manner) that he has already committed, maybe even on his visit, and will be announcing on August 31st because of some particular reason (e.g., B-day, school event, etc).
  18. Are you talking about the ring on his left-hand ring finger? I assume that is his wedding ring.
  19. Yeah, it’s a bit unfair that he gets to vote at all. I mean talk about your insider information.
  20. Nah, it is has been doing this since I bought it, less than a year ago. Since the first text, it tries to change the suffix “ing” into “bff”. Makes no sense.
  21. Yeah, my phone is hot garbage. In fact, while I was typing this post, it changed the word 'hot' to 'not' four times.
  22. He has more pictures from his visit to Nebraska and Notre Dame. Looks like he was wearing a boot on his left foot. /Edit: for clarity
