  1. More importantly - did he mean for this to be a double negative?? Now I'm more confused than ever! hahaha let's choose to look at it in the way that makes us feel better.
  2. I only think it affects us because although we do have a QB commit, he is coming off a sever head injury and we are not certain when (or if) he can play again. ASU however has a very talented QB, who the fan base is jacked about already, so he may see Nebraska as having the better opportunity for him at QB. Just speculation.
  3. He seems to be dead set on playing QB in college at this point. With ASU already having Manny Wilkins (a highly touted dual threat QB) committed in this class I think we really have a good shot here. I don't know how to post Tweets on here but he was asked by a follower if he was going to play safety in college and he responded simply "no."
  4. Don't have a subscription, any way someone could summarize? Thanks! He asked that interview be done by texting. Said he had a great time and he would have to discuss with his parents. It was his first official visit. Very positive but nothing earth shattering divulged. sweet. thanks.

  6. Any news on how his visit went or who hosted him?
  7. maybe he just wants to talk to the Nebraska coaches again before he decides?
  8. ASU just landed the #1 JUCO RB De'Chavon Hayes. Maybe this addition will help us out?
  9. I just out of the blue wondered this as well. Any shot at getting him a second time around? Or did he hang them up?
  10. Not sure how he fits in next year but I'm hoping he is RG44 juco good. Down on J-Turner?
  11. Not sure Stoltenberg ever had a designated position - they worked him out just about everywhere this summer - but it sure seems like he'll start on the OLine at this point. Oh then that makes sense. Did he play OLine in high school as well? If Stoltenberg throws on a lot of weight he definitely has the build for it.
  12. We are going to lose three Defensive Ends this year (Ankrah, Ashburn, and Vestal), so they might want to take 3 this class. We already have three in this class (Keels, Slade, Stoltenberg). Keels decided on Nebraska because the coaches are letting him play DE not pushing him inside.
  13. Great pocket presence. Love the way he isn't afraid to step up in the pocket and deliver a dime. WANT!
  14. Kid had more sacks than a grocery store his senior season with 23.5! If he can translate that into 9 or 10 in college I will be ecstatic. Great pick up.
  15. Do you all feel we have a legitimate shot here? Speculating, but if Darlington's head injury isn't progressing quickly enough it would make sense to land another QB.
  16. Dang this guy can tackle really well for a DB. Nickel?
  17. The term "commit" has nothing to do with the NCAA or any rule. It's something created by the people who follow recruiting to described where a prospect says he's going. Probably need a new term instead of "commit". Only signing a LOI means anything. I was just being a smart ass haha apparently a bad one. I am aware of the fact that "committing" means actually nothing. Maybe the term should be "leaning" haha
  18. I hope this is all just noise. I think the NCAA should require "commits" to learn the definition of "committed." Seems to mean holding a spot until another school comes along.
  19. This is expected after an in home visit. I am sure they just got him really excited about the future of Baylor. Bo and company will meet with him again and remind him why he is excited about Nebraska's future. I hope...
  20. Playbook and the fact that he had such a traumatic brain injury that he couldn't speak properly. My guess is he doesn't get tackled again until august 2015. I think if they really thought that were the case we would be taking another QB in this class... You could very well be right though. You never know with sever concussions. Quinton flowers is getting a lot of attention. If that is the case then same goes for him! If there were ever a year for a true freshman to take the spot this would be it. Not down on Armstrong or Stanton at all, excited about their potential, but just saying.
  21. Last two were pretty darn good. Future's looking good for our defense. And mixed with the talent at LB.... hard not to get excited!

  23. I truly believe he will be coming in ready to compete for the job. Not saying he will win it but to me Armstrong left me with a lot of concerns (turnovers). I think the spot is WIDE open. Stanton is supposed to be special and was leading the Elite 11 show until he had to miss some events to play a flag football game for his high school team, and that is saying something considering the other QB's there (Hackenerg, Goff, etc.). The biggest obstacle in Darlington's way is the playbook. This could be interesting.
