  1. F-ing Schlissel. Can I be an NU fan now?...misery loves company. https://footballscoop.com/news/report-big-ten-voted-expected-today-and-some-big-ten-schools-will-still-sit-out-fall-season-if-vote-is-to-play/
  2. I lied I am just going to keep this crap coming until someone cries uncle. “The people who spoke on the condition of anonymity reiterated that reliable, rapid testing has played a critical role and helped turn the tide in the favor of trying to play this year,” writes Jeff Potrykus of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Oct. 17 is reportedly the target date the Big Ten has in mind for the start of the 2020 football season. That would allow teams at least three weeks to prepare and give the each school the flexibility to play eight games over nine weeks prior to the conference championship game, which could be on Dec. 20. Wisconsin athletic director Barry Alvarez has been one of the people within the Big Ten who has been vocal about wanting the league to change its decision. Alvarez recently told Yahoo Sports that he and Badgers head coach Paul Chrystare both comfortable with three weeks of training camp before starting the season in the near future.
  3. Was this already posted? If everyone is sick of this I can stop.
  4. Blah blah blah...Detroit free press reporter....sounds like stalling to me. SOURCES: No vote today by Big Ten presidents, but they were pleased with medical plans and advancements. Likely to vote this week for some sort of play starting at some point this fall. @freep @freepsports @chrissolari @RainerSabin — David Jesse (@reporterdavidj) September 13, 2020
  5. Fart in your general direction! if your gonna quote Monty Python....don’t sugar coat it.
  6. I got my hopes once, then twice. Shame on me. I am just hoping the kids that are left get to have a meaningful season even if it is the second string. It’s 3pm eastern...are we gonna hear anything today?
  7. Bad way to end the out of conference season, but I was thinking upsets in general with uncertain rosters, postponements, and an odd start.
  8. Arkansas St beats Kansas St. Louisiana beats Iowa St. Coastal Carolina beats Kansas and Houston Baptist nearly beats Texas Tech. I think we are in for a lot of this type of stuff this year.
  9. Dang it. I bet Texas fans were not allowed here. Do I have to pack up and leave now?
  10. A little off Topic, but I just got off the phone with my brother living in the home town of Ferris State Univ. Div2. They are not playing football, but the kids are all back on campus in the dorms, frats and other housing taking 90% online classes, except things like labs. Do you think theY wanted the room and board money? Unbelievable. If it’s anything like my kids doing half time high school, they spend little time doing school on off days and go hang with friends anyway, but whatever.
  11. People from Wiscy drink too much. It leads to bad choices. Rutgers should look at this as doing something positive for the conference.
  12. Prefect. Love it. My kid runs XC. They have matching school neck gaiters. Instead of ‘on your mark-set-bang’ it’s ‘masks off-on your mark-set-bang’
  13. The players probably don't want masks on while playing. I play basketball each week with local HS teachers and coaches. We played outside most of the summer, but got indoors the other day and were required to wear masks. They were pulled down to get air alot of the time. I can't imagine playing many sports with a mask.
  14. Nope....but she just mandated masks with exec order 180 for the fall sports she allowed with exec order 176. What a side show. I don’t think she’s ever played sports. Anyone known if other HS teams are wearing masks while on the field? “The COVID-19 virus is easily spread through airborne particles and can affect everyone differently,” Gov. Whitmer said in a release. "By wearing a face covering when proper distancing is not possible, athletes will be better protected from contracting the virus and spreading it to family members, frontline workers, and vulnerable populations.
  15. More potential lawsuits. Gotta believe O$U will find a way to play. This may have been their year. https://www.dispatch.com/news/20200909/dave-yost-believes-ohio-state-can-sue-big-ten-over-football-cancellation
  16. I am old enough to remember Osborne vs Switzer. I watched those games growing up in Big Ten country. Maybe someday they will return.
  17. I think Harbaugh is ready to lose again. Maybe they are giving him cover. He is a bit crazy.
  18. Only if she shuts down venues and they have to play out of state, but she just reversed that edict. I doubt many here have been paying attention to her, but she was pretty authoritarian about COVID restrictions. My relatives either love her or hate her. My earlier point was that her comments are probably to simply support the Uof Michigan President for holding out on football.
  19. Its nonsensical and in my opinion political.
  20. Michigan since I was about 9 years old, but I am not sure if I want to be that anymore. If this season starts it looks like I will have to adopt someone else to follow.
  21. Michigan’s governor came out in support of the decision To post-pone.
  22. MICHIGAN football hasn't had a positive test since July. This is why Harbaugh is so pissed-off. It not easy keeping kids away from parties. He probably promised that doing so would get them a football season. His president disagreed.
  23. Thats my state. Excited for the kids, but of course they quit practicing. The governor got this started. Good for him.
