  1. Im of the opinion that, we shouldnt have to be snagging last second recruits on signing day, we have a had a year to do get this done. Also, you can say what you want about the amount of stars a player has and Nebraska finds diamonds in the rough. Why not get the ones that are right in front of you. Our talent is down, hence we will not be finish the year again in the top 25 in what is a pathetic excuse for an automatic qualifying conference. BIG TEN is nothing to be proud of, and we still are finishing seasons with 3,4 losses each year. We are Nebraska, explain to me why we cant get competitive players, 2 stars, NR, 3 stars, say what you want, the stars matter, take a look at the list each year in the final recruiting standings and you can almost bet where they will end up. I am not talking about a down year for a program, ex. florida 2013, percentages show, good recruiting good results. GBR
  2. Want to chime in on this guys, Oregon, Michigan St. and Missouri are 3 that come to mind. Missouri just won the SEC East, We know what Mich St just did, recruiting classes not that good. Oregon, no where near a hotbed of recruiting, yet they are dragging them from all over the country. I guess my point would lead more to a coaching deficiency than to recruiting talent. But we are not even competing with the OKst, Ok,Mich, Ohio st of the world, we are competing with schools like Mass, Wstrn KY,FIU, Indiana, Middle Tennessee, Northern Colorado, SO Miss, ULM, La Tech, Houston, NIU, and the list goes on guys, i know the Nebraska brand is not what it once was, but it is more than this. You cannot win without a combination of talent and Coaching, and the coaches are responsible for the talent. Besides the fact that we play in a weak conference, and i will say it, THE BIG TEN is WEAK and we are not successful.
  3. Neb - 31 UCLA - 45 Rush - 220 Pass - 145 Sure hope i am wrong, GBR
  4. they are confused, nothing changed from the first half to the second half. We play an umbrella defense, trying to keep everything under 20 yards. Nothing more than a prevent. Thats why WYO can have 35 first downs. 35, unbelievable. 600 yards of offense from the WYO Cowboys. Imagine what UCLA, Mich, NW will do. Defense is no better. Go BIg Red.
  5. Its hard for me to fathom that #18 University of Nebraska is having to give props to WYO for playing good. The simple fact is, we are out coached, every year. We win games barely over people we should win by 30 and lose games of any significance by 30 or more. The athletes are fine, they need coaching. This is going to sound bad, but start now, make arrangements, write a contract up with specific limitations, and expectations, fuel the jet, fly down to Western Kentucky and get Bobby Petrino lined up to be the head coach in december. Michigan will win our division so we wont be playing in the Conf Championship only to get thrashed and embarrased by a mediocre big ten team and lose by 35. In 2 years (with Petrino) Nebraska will be back competing with the best teams in the country. Not squeaking by on lesser teams, and getting blown out by legitimate football teams. I respect the coaching staff now, but they will NEVER be any better than 8-5 or 10-3. Saturday was not a fluke, we have seen it every year, lose games we shouldnt lose, out coached weekly. The problem saturday is not going away. It is the way it is. No drastic improvements will be made. We will look good against a crap So Miss team and UCLA will put things back in perspective for us. GO BIG RED
  6. Does nobody else see this as a terrible schedule, not excited about Nebraska football looking at that. Just horrible for fans and rankings alike. If we are ranked going into the season, not going to hold water, strength of schedule horrific. Yeah, im calling it a year in advance, no one would take us serious if we did run the table. Thought a move to the Big Ten was going to boost our brand. Does it setup perfectly for an undefeated year, hell it ought to, we dont play anybody. Dissappointed all the way around, Northwestern may be the best team on that schedule when it rolls around. WOW, we are now reduced to getting excited about Nebraska/Northwestern football.
