  1. hello, well g davis took his visit to va, & has given it a 10 (but, w/ coaches at va taking head coaching offers at other schools - ksu & temple - UN could still be in the lead for him - let us hope) his next visit will be to nc st, & followed by wv in jan (wv the last couple of wks has been visiting davis at his blue ridge hs, & recently gave him an in home visit - rodriguez has been working magic lately - so he may just steal this kid away) he will take 1 more visit & then decide in feb p.s. so keep your fingers crossed for ol' UN
  2. hello, sean callahan on big red report said that he believes that mo purify is close to committing to UN the jucos who visited/verballed w/ him on 12/07 have been working on him to verbal (especially davis) plus, the in home visit of the UN coaches did not hurt any chances of he eventually being N (distance & weather have been his only real reservations) he has a visit set for wa on 01/16 (let us hope that he is off of the market by then, & that s callahan is right)
  3. hello, I read (then posted a while a month ago & cannnot find where I posted it) that boatman is a mid/late-feb graduate (either tyler jc is a trimester school, or he has a class that extends through feb), so he would not be available for spring practice, which means another possible rs juco ot this is the problem that each school including UN has w/ the recruitment of boatman
  4. hello, so evan royster will be visiting, which is good news but I do not think that he is UN bound - because of UN's depth & youth at rb. He has a visit set for pa st on 1/11, & pa st is in need of rb's, since they are loaded w/ upper classman at rb, & pa st did not grab a rb last yr in recruiting, & have yet to grab 1 this yr - I believe he will visit 2 other schools, & pa st will get his signature come feb, because of an earlier opportunity to play & that it is closer to home (& I believe we can count out ou, since he visited ou for the ou - tcu game, & heard scoops rip his players afterwards) yet, visiting w/ royster for this weekend are juco's palmer & nicks, & I think that there will be some committing going on (ola & johnson have been on palmer to visit, & may be a factor in his verballing, & nicks quickly set a visit for UN after UN offered - palmer has visited wa & ms, & has a visit set for az 12/16, & nicks visited wa last weekend w/ palmer, & has a visit set for l-ville 12/16 p.s. I hope that it is not too cold this weekend for the wc juco's, or the va high schooler
  5. hello, I remember last yr when so many UN fans were up in arms because cally & co only offered & signed 3 in-state players (solder, rands & potter) well, this yr there are also 3 (jones, henry, & young), but there is a good chance that only one will be a husker next yr - that one being jones, especially since young = hawkeyes, & henry = non-qualifier (only 1 in-state kid, wow) yet, there is a chance that bunner ot mt michael, mohr te genoa, makovicka lb e butler, & bayer lb howells will walk-on. Also, these in-staters along w/ henery p burke (oh), martin dt lin sw (oh), tarpinian qb/s mill n (ia), & enderle qb n platte (id) would have most likely been given a schollie, or asked to gs by solich & co what say you?
  6. hello, I am confused - maclin to tech? he just decommitted from ou, he has visited cu & mo recently, he has two friends committed to UN (mcneil & freeman), tech & UN were not schools of interest for him until recently, so why the immediate prediction that tech is the school to beat? I think that his kid will take his time & will visit 3 other schools including tech & UN (cu & mo were official visits, & ou unofficial) houston a gs? this kid has offers from or st, wa st, hi, mia, az, az st, ok st, ks st, & UN - why would he pay his way for a semester? he has mentioned before that he likes the wc, & that cold weather frightens him (though, UN has begun a sd connection now w/ congdon, holt, & west) mouton like houston has mentioned that he likes the wc almost too much to leave it, which to me says usc, yet his father lives near baton rouge & he previously lived in louisiana - so, I thought that usc & lsu were his leaders - but, if usc & lsu are loaded at s - then maybe it is b/w mi & UN, then? davis has not mention va enough for me to think that UN does not lead for him, since his visit & UN's fans were amazing to him, plus UN offers immediate playing time & he has said that distance is not a factor - so, why not UN over va? Plus, like you said va's coaching staff is dismantling & there will be ?'s there as who the replacements will be, & he has not accepted a visit to va, which has to be a positive for UN, right?
  7. hello, I think everyone thought dorrestein was going to commit to mi when he visited there on 12/02, (which he did) since he camped there over the summer, & had them high prior to other schools offering (the mac conf, UN, nw, ill, ia st, & pur) - as soon as mi offered & he set his visit there his recruitment was pretty much over p.s. out of all of UN & mi's recruits dorrestein & mouton are the only 2 that visited both schools - so, score one for mi in the pre-alamo bowl (& mouton will not be opting for either of the 2 schools)
  8. hello, this kid & his recruitment has to be one of the most confusing in the country, since aug he has had 5 different top 5 lists & 3 different top 2 lists, & every potential visit he has set he has cancelled 1st he listed UN, ks, ks st, ar, & tn as his top 5 2nd - ks st & tn were his top 2, & he had visits set for both, & ar 3rd - tn ol coach, mike barry, resigned, & tn was removed from his list completely 4th he listed mo, co st, ks st, ks, & ar 5th - ks st was his leader, & only visit set 6th - snyder resigns as head coach, & ks st visit cancelled 7th - thought about a visit to mo, then mo was off his list 8th he lists ar, ks, & ks st, & has co st & tn (yes, tn again) as his favorites 9th he has set visits to ar 12/22 & tn 01/14 10th - downing came to krehbiel's home for an in-home visit this weekend, & let's hope that he considers UN & adds them to his stort list, again
  9. hello, I am seriously shocked of this offer & verbal: (1) he camped at UN & ucla, & he really stood out as a possible prospect for UN's coaches at camp, & ended camp as being listed as one of the camp's def standouts (2) he was w/o a schollie during his sr football season, & there was talk of he & bunner being the top 2 preferred walk-ons for UN (3) within the last month & 1/2, he was beginning to favor area school sd st or az st - either school was on the verge of offering west, & west was suppost to visit az st sometime this month (4) I saw that b busch was recruiting him a while back, but I thought that he was just keeping tabs/keeping in touch w/ west as a possible back-up plan in case the other major s recruits fell through (5) I am shocked of this offer & verbal, because there was not a mention of a west for quite a while from any site, premium or not (6) plus, outside of summer football camp he was not even asked by the coaches to visit UN during the reg football season p.s. he is the second recruit from sd (west - point loma sr & holt - st augustine)
  10. hello, I have read that cruz barrett's parents have both passed away, he is a ward of the state of fl, & he lives w/ a friend's family. also, seth jensen, who visited UN w/ barrett on 11/11, & barrett have became good friends & have remained in touch w/ each other since, & that seth & his seth's father were instrumental in cruz's verbal to UN p.s. mainland hs in daytona beach is the former hs of buster davis, who really liked UN on his visit 4 yrs ago, but his mother persuaded him to stay closer to home because of cultural difference & distance (he & ngata really broke UN's heart that yr) 2nd p.s. mainland is also the former hs of v carter
  11. hello, derrick russell did not play his 1st 2 yrs of hs football, he had attitude troubles at his previous school (o central), he has played only one yr of organized hs football (his jr yr), & tore his acl his sr yr, so it is hard to judge this kids ability or willingness to play based on what he has done in hs I would much rather see UN give a schollie to anthony parks, wr butler cc, (possible ok st lean), or a gs to tyler bullock (schollies to csu & ksu), since both have proven themselves as possession wr, which is more than anyone can say about derrick russell p.s. russell like bullocks have schollies to ksu (which is their lean), but that may change quickly when a new coach comes to town
  12. hello, I do not see why UN would want keith williams over cruz barrett in the 1st place, because barrett has more proven feet quickness & agility both on the o line in hs fb & frontline at hs bb, his wing span makes him even bigger than his height indicates (6'4" w/ a 101 in wingspan), & he is more versatile as a olineman than williams, since he could play either tackle or guard in college, & lemmings says that barrett's leadership, aggression & overall upside as a olineman make him variable for a future all-amer & nfl player, where as lemmings sees nothing as special reciting within williams outside of playing coll fb as an olineman but, it is all projection...I just think that UN got the verbal of the better of the 2 olineman (but then again he has yet to take his act or sat)
  13. hello, having carter eliminating UN is not a big loss unless (here is a big shocker) palmer &/or davis eliminate us, since they are UN's hot stove prospects at safety, & young is not that far behind in UN's want/need list from them palmer is a good friend w/ ola & johnson, & is visiting - so there is UN's N davis has yet to visit anywhere else - his other schools of interest are (1) schools he has seen before from just being in the area, & (2) schools that are more interested in basketball (outside of vatech) young has waited too long for ia, & ia is waiting to see the interest of other prospects at s before giving him a schollie therefore UN has a good chance at all 3, & carter was basically protection if UN missed on the other 3 - but then again, there goes UN's protection p.s. jonathan warren, s from butler cc, could be UN's new protection at s
  14. hello, freeman is 1 of 6 qb's to be selected for the army all-amer game, & the lone UN verbal the other qb's are frazer & jones who are nd verbals, snead who is a tx verbal, mustain who is an ark verbal (if there is a school who should be nervous about losing a qb verbal to another school it would be ark - since the u of mia is trying very hard to pry him away), & tebow is the lone qb prospect who has yet to verbal, yet he is a fl lean, but does have a visit set for usc, later. there are 9 other selected players (other than freeman) who will be in this game who have visited UN over the course of the yr: johnson (unofficial visit - verballed to fl), mouton (will visit usc 12/02, & will probably decide b/w lsu & usc), bradbury (will visit usc 12/02 & ucla 12/16, & will probably decide b/w those two schools), cox (will visit lsu 12/11, & will probably decide b/w ok & lsu), roark (camped at UN this summer, & committed to ok), ross (who is high on or, az, & ca), ausberry (will visit usc on 12/02, & probably will commit there), reuland (unofficial visit - likes 5 schools), & wallace (who UN has the best shot at, but has an upcoming visit set for u of mia) p.s. hoyamannn, the wr who was at the co game w/ mcneil was maclin (from kirkwood, mo & teammates w/ mcneil), who is a soft verbal to ok, & who now is slightly interested in UN, & may set an upcoming visit to UN
  15. hello, the rumor that is buzzing around is that jeremy maclin, who is a ou soft verbal is considering an UN visit: he is a *** wr, 6, 175, 4.5 teammate of UN verbal mcneil, & he along w/ mcneil were visitors of cu for the 3-30 cu's senior day defeat given to them by UN '05 stats (9 games): 25 receptions for 670 yrds, - played other positions then wr, & '04 stats (12 games): 58 receptions for 1,184 yrds, & 18 tds plus, ou has verbals from wr's **** caleb, & *** turner (& maclin), & '04 ou signed wr's ***** kelly, **** johnson, **** huggin, & ** iglesius (talk about loaded w/ youth at the wr position) p.s. UN is only losing 1 wr (m leflore) - & may be garnering holt, spain, & eloi for next yr, along w/ a healthier brooks (I love the look of holt 6'4", spain 6'3", & brooks 6'4" snagging ball next yr - along w/ hardy, mulkey, petersen, swift, fluellen, nunn = I think UN is set at wr next yr) 2nd p.s. ** wr travius thompson (may not qualify) may visit w/ *** bynes (who may be recruited as an athlete for qb or wr) around 12/16
  16. hello, qb/wr herb bynes will be visiting UN on 12/16 along w/ his lauderdale lakes, fl teammate, wr travius thompson: bynes 6'3", 215, 4.65, hs qb, *** has offers from cf, lville, mtnst, & UN, & this will be his 1st official visit to any univ. george o'leary, coach of cf, wants this kid really bad for their qb position (& there is a need & vacated area in qb position at cf - which is tempting bynes); he has been tabbed as a good armed qb, with a great scrambling ability; 19th rated pro-style qb by rivals travius thompson 6'2", 175, 4.45, wr, **, has offers from la-laf & UN; he has some grade issues - may not qualify; is high on u of m, & he camped there, but they have yet to offer him - & they probably will not since they are on a lot of higher rated wr's; for the season he had 38 receptions for 520 yrds; this will be his 1st official visit to any univ. p.s. their stats are not worth posting because their season was partially interrupted since hurricane wilma swept across the laud lakes area - & causing bynes to be homeless for a stint
  17. hello nameless, I have a quick question for you: Now that you have seen amsterdam, which area do you prepare, the red light district, or the sea of red at memorial stadium? p.s. did you bring us back a tee shirt?
  18. hello, there is a new safety prospect on UN's radar, & guess where he is from? jonathan warren 6'1", 205, 4.5 *** BUTLER CC (originally signed w/ fsu out of hs), & if everything works out he may be visiting UN 12/16 (he may also visit ia st 12/09, & clemson & fsu are also in the picture for his recruitment - I doubt fsu is pushing too hard for him though, since they rarely pursue juco's, & plus verdell, butler cc s, is coming to town 12/09) other UN visits & targets: palmer 12/09 (dec juco grad), davis 09/30 (probably will take all 4 visits), carter 12/10, & young (cally was just at his house) mouton likes the wc or lsu (father lives in louisiana), & thenarse may not qualify
  19. hello, nameless it is great to see that you are back, & I hope that everything went as planned on your 2 wks abroad (you were missed big time at huskerboard, so please do not do it again). also, great to see that the UN coaches are working really aggressively on c young this week w/ a personal invite to a closed practice on wed, & an in-home visit for the weekend - it would be great to have his verbal, since UN greatly needs some safety recruits, & any in-state prospect who rushes for 1,630 yrds & 22 tds is ok in my book (even though, he seems to be a little injury prone, since he missed his jr yr of football at mill south w/ a torn acl, & this yr, missed mill north's state championship game against linc sw w/ an injury) - yet, he will have a little less wear & tear on his body at s in college (hopefully).
  20. hello, I feel that every football player who signs w/ UN in feb should not simply be wearing the traditional cap of the school that they will be representing & playing for in the near future, but they should also be wearing a shirt that reads "RESTORE THE ORDER", too...since they are the future that will be restoring the order, right? - what say you - good idea?
  21. hello, well mcneil has to feel confident that he made the right decision in verballing to UN early, & very enthusiastic about becoming a husker, especially after witnessing UN's offensive performance (& witnessing UN's growth from the maine game which he attended to the finally at cu) & the complete polar-difference b/w the cu & UN's fans Now, I wonder if macklin (*** wr), mcneil's classmate at kirkwood, was impressed...I know that UN was not on his radar, & he is a soft verbal to ou, yet after this watching what UN can do offensively I believe he may be impressed, & mcneil may pressure him into taking a visit to UN, & macklin knowing that ou has signed last yr, & verballed this yr more high rated wr's than he, so competition & possible lack of early playing time may cause him to look a bit harder at UN.
  22. hello, b johnson has said according to scout that he is not a soft verbal, & that he is very N. There was a rumor that he along w/ palmer & atkins (compton jc teammates) were going to visit wa - palmer & atkins will be visiting wa 12/03, yet johnson is not going anywhere but to the UN he also said that palmer (who will visit UN 12/09) wants to continue to play football & attend school w/ johnson, & that aaron mason (ot from santa monica jc) has told him that he will be playing for UN come '06 - so watch for him to commit when he visits on 12/09 along w/ palmer
  23. hello, there is some news: wallace has said recently that the one visit that has stood out the most is UN's because of the game day environment & the fact that the fans (student section) chanted his names several times - he has visited osu, flst, UN & unofficially visited psu, he will be visit fl, mia, or usc w/ his final 2 visits - he will announce his choice of school during the army-all amer game mouton has said that he likes living on the wc, but also likes lsu, since his father & other relatives live there (UN is on his short list, but they are a long shot at getting him to commit) clayborn has UN listed as his favorite, but he has 2 visits yet to take one to ia on 12/02 & a second to mo on 12/10 campbell will visit md, va, & mi st, & will make a decision after that. He wants to go to a school where there is a lot to do when he is off campus - he likes UN, & likes md w/ the fact that they have the whole d.c. & baltimore area to do things in, so md maybe his lean, plus it is of course closer to his cn home walton has it a tie b/w pst & UN, & he will be taking an official visit to pst in dec, & then will compare b/w the 2 school (he may take a visit to fsu, but is not sure if he will or not) mccarthy liked his visits to osu & UN, & will be taking 2 other visits to gt & mia (mia will be hard to beat) davis says that he can go into any school in the nation & play right away, because that is how confident he is - so who they are recruiting or who they have does not matter - UN leads but he will be taking his 4 other visits & will decide in feb j brown has stated that he is still a soft verbal to ill (he will visit il, mo, ok & tn - & will decide after that) adams has UN as his leader, & will take 3 remaining visits to ou, lville, & mia, & UN will be the measuring stick for those visits
  24. mcneil, will be a visitor for the co vs. UN game tomorrow, (as a colorado official visitor) & he will be visiting co w/ a teammate of his at kirkwood *** maclin wr (soft verbal to ou), & along w/ some names that were once on UN's target list: banks dt *** (who had UN high early, but has now eliminated UN from his list), dean wr **** (he cancelled 2 visits to UN, & tore his acl), mitchell wr *** (who was to visit for the maine game, but hurricane katrina come to la, & he has eliminated UN, & has a visit set for lsu 12/09 - where he will probably commit) & d hagen jr **** db (who is taking his 1st visit of the yr, & may commit to co, or may wait to see what bienemy has to say at ucla) looks like co is beginning to recruit well, again...that does not bode well, does it? p.s. mcneil has said that he is a safe bet to be N, come feb's signing day, so no worries (unless of course he is completely blown away by co, or watches UN get humiliated again similar to when he saw mo humiliate UN earlier this yr)
  25. hello, UN's practice yesterday was closed to every outside observer, w/ the exception of corey young UN has tried everything to lure this kid to the U, w/ downing coming to millard north hs various times to meet w/ young, & downing attending numerous mill n practices & games; invites to games (which he never came to); closed practice invitations Yet, through all the attention that UN has shown young, he has been quite coy in UN's recruitment of him, & it almost seems that the rumors of him waiting on an ia offer is true - yet, if it is true that he is waiting for an ia offer than I hope that he has finally grown weary from waiting on ia's offer, & finally commits to UN, & finally becomes N p.s. millard north won the class A football championship at memorial stadium w/ a score of 35-14 over lin sw. - mill n rushed for 406 yrds & tarpinian (ia verbal) rushed for 239 & 3 tds - homer 99 yrds - coleman 70 - & I do not have any stats for young, sorry. 2nd p.s. mill north players currently playing d1 football: shada & olsen (ia), galusha (co st), mccardle & rooker (ksu), behrens (co), o'leary (UN - long snapper), - plus, tarpinian (verballed to ia) & young & homer will play d1
