  1. Why can't we run the ball but be more creative in doing so.
  2. We just need a few first downs to put this away...how many times have we said that this season?
  3. Terrible onside kick by Minnesota...fortunately Newby didn't have butterfingers.
  4. I wouldn't call 3 straight pass plays on the last possession as playing conservatively...i would have preferred they played conservatively then.
  5. Checked out when we were up more comfortably, but those 3 straight pass calls on the last offensive possession were horrible. DL needs to get his head handed to him from Riley for doing that.
  6. I'm not sure if it's ever happened before, but Iowa is likely to be undefeated heading into their final regular season game. They have been playing well this year, and when you look at their schedule, they have perhaps the easiest schedule of any team in the league. They don't play OSU, MSU, Michigan, or PSU. Their toughest remaining game before coming to Lincoln looks to be at Indiana. With so many teams playing each other, they would easily be in the top 5 when they arrive assuming they are undefeated.
  7. Yes, especia yes, especially considering he was so close to the ball...it could have bounced the other way and hit him easily.
  8. 24 points would have won us the past 2 games...as bad as people think the Defense has been, its the lack of offense that has us 2-4 and not 4-2.
  9. Newby having the best game of his career...and Minnesota fans are probably bitching about how bad their rush defense is right now, letting NU's RB have a record day.
  10. Hey, it's better than letting a guy put up 400 rushing yards in 3 quarters. Last year we gave up 14 points to Illinois...this year the same. Last year 59 to Wisconsin, this year 23. Last year 28 to Minny, this year...we'll see. I honestly think it's more demoralizing to give up hundreds of rushing yards per game, but neither is preferred. Teams essentially stop running on us in the second quarter. Once they realize thepass defense really is as bad advertised what's the point. There isn't a QB bad enough in college football to make our pass defense look remotely competent So far this QB and Stave last week are at least hitting their targets, even if in some cases our coverage is too soft. TA cannot consistently hit throws to save his life, and Martinez was the same way. We haven't had a decent throwing QB in years.
  11. And we could have hired him!!!!!!!!!! Lol...yeah right, but there could be another Harbaugh available after this season if the Ravens keep losing.

  13. Our pass rush needs to actually sack this guy, instead of getting close every time.
  14. Well if the blitz doesn't sack the QB, the offense will win that play call all day long.
  15. I like the playcalling much more this drive....but TA still has to make throws, especially when he has all day to throw. Hopefully POB is as good as advertised.
  16. I honestly just don't think we have the personnel. I would think Kalu would have been benched by now if there was a better alternative.
  17. How many yards per game is Kalu giving up of our total passing yards we allow?
  18. Hmm...It took Tommy 3 games to finally make a good pass against Big Ten competition, and DL is in his face?
  19. And now we will pass 2 times... Third and long...story of the season for the offense.
  20. For the first time this season Gerry seems fired up. Has anyone noticed that Gerry looks super skinny now....he didn't always seem that way.
