  1. The thing I took from this season is the guts this team showed. Can't express enough how much pride they seemed to show. I felt that towards the end of the game yesterday they were spent and I can't blame them. Proud to be a Husker fan today, same as before.
  2. ESPN has been pissed at us ever since we destroyed Florida since they basically picked UF to blow us out.
  3. He got a very loud, good reception today. Then he kind of soured me a bit during the game. We are down 24/10 with a good chance to get back in the game still, and he is shown on the sidelines, sitting on a bench in the back, joking with some other folks. Way to support the team. Oh well, he did a lot for the Huskers and set a lot of records. And after this year, we won't hear much of him again. Why is that such a big deal? I saw him constantly talking to RK during the game. I'm sure not playing is killing him more than most of us can comprehend. I have no doubt he would have been on that field if at all possible. Some guys joke when things get bad because that's how they react. I know when I competed I was more likely to tell a joke or laugh when things got tough. Not that I was trying to make light, it just kept me (and my team) more relaxed. TM has given everything he had for Nebraska, he owes us nothing. If he wants to joke on the sideline during his last home game during a rough season in which he was unfairly criticized by a lot of people, he's earned that right.
  4. I'm sorry you feel that way. The sad part is, some people actually read this and believe you when you say that. Until you have met the guy in person, please be careful of what you say. Sidenote: Pelini has young children and his kids and family have had to deal with the fanbase (the self-proclaimed, "Greatest Fans in College Football") this year, through all of this media garbage... Try explaining to a 3rd grader how you could lose your job and the entire state would know about it. And yes Bo can be an aggressive, toe-the-line type of person but it's that mentality that turns in championship teams and helps form boys to men. - And please, do not compare this to Osborne. Although we respected Osborne over time, his lack of aggression/vocally expressing his angry or disagreement frustrated the fans like crazy. Osborne was also shielded from that because he had some assistant coaches and players who had no problem laying into a ref vocally. I love the, "he has kids," defense of Pelini. So what, he can not be fired until his kids all reach the age of 19? This is a business, plain and simple. I believe he was talking about the personal attacks against Pelini.
  5. I think it will be the BWW bowl vs Texas
  6. I tried to edit the title to say "The football program, wouldn't let me. But if an admin can change that, it would be cool.
  7. I've had the feeling for weeks that BO looks like he's mentally and physically exhausted. I don't think Bo was told he wasn't coming back but I do think that he wasn't given any assurances either. He was just given a contract extension last season. What more does he want? If he doesn't act like a lunatic against Iowa he keeps his job. Contract extensions don't really hold too much weight in college athletics. If an AD really wants you gone they will find a way to buy you out. With Bo calling a meeting to discuss his status I would assume there must be come concern.
  8. If Eichorst doesn't have a definitive plan at this point he should be fired. The program needs positive direction, right now it feels very toxic.

  10. I would assume it would depend on the hire start date. Thus, if his official start date was before the bowl they could possibly ban him for this one. However, I would assume the NCAA would say that he would be hired for the 2014 football season so the ban would be for next year's game.
  11. I agree with you on this. As a program the AD can not delay making a decision. Keeping the rumors swirling will only cause stress to everyone associated with the program. The players and coaches deserve to know either way. If the program is going to make changes, make them, no need to delay change if it is going to occur either way. I don't believe the bowl game will change that plan.
  12. Shawn Eichorst needs to make a statement no later than Monday stating whether Bo will be back next year. If he waits it will only lead to more questions and hurt recruiting with uncertainty surrounding the program. He has been quiet up until this point and I respect that but he needs to address the future of the program before the bowl game. If we are going to have a new coach, we need to remove Bo before the bowl preparations have started. If we are keeping Bo then we need BP and the team to know that they aren't possibly playing for Bo's job. Wouldn't want to be the AD right now.
  13. TD!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gotta give it to the team, they definitely don't quit
  14. Yeah, me. it was crap call. Come on though, Gilmore had a good point, how are you going to expect your team to have self control of your coach has none, looks sooooo bad on national tv too No it doesn't. Plenty of coaches do this. I prefer to see BO fired up about the game rather than just going through the motions. Really? When was the last time you saw a coach get a 15 yard penalty? It's been years since I've seen or heard of it. Mark Richt against Auburn http://gamedayr.com/sports/video-mark-richt-penalty-yelling-refs-88835/

  16. Mark Dantonio basically said the exact same thing last week. Not to mention I've seen Spurrier (at Florida) do that same thing. And have ya ever listened to Bill Bilicheck talk to media? I can think of a few things Spurrier and Belicheck have accomplished that Bo hasn't. By year 6 Spurrier was 48-21 with 2 conference titles 1 losing season and 3 seasons with 9+ wins and only 2 seasons with under 4 losses.
  17. Why would they be afraid of us? Our O has been inconsistent all year and the D, while improving, gave up a ton of yards early in the year.

  19. Really just shut up, he's not the only coach that does this. WE get it you want Bo gone and will nit pick everything he does. Get over it and support the team for the rest of the game. Find one post of mine that wants Pelini gone.....in the history of this board. And that's an awesome, well thought out response, btw. It speaks to a high level of critical thinking to offer up the 'other teams/coaches/players do it' response. Don't worry, Jason. It's just typical BS from the hardcore Bo-lievers. There is a problematic fraction of this fan base, and it's not the people who have their doubts about Bo. I have doubts whether Bo is the long term answer for this program. Just tired of the constant nit picking on everything.

  21. Can't blame the D, they played well there, can only give a team the ball so many times with turnovers before they break through.
  22. Can't blame Beck, wasn't bad play calls, just really bad passes.
