We will definately be losing a good number of our big recruits this year to transfer. And expect recruiting to go way down hill if we don't fire everyone.

I couldn't even finish reading this post. I expect everyone to leave. BC & co. have officially turned our program into a joke. And now we're stuck with BC and he doesn't care 'cause he knows his job is most likely safe. Are the fans supposed to stay and pretend everything is ok? NO WAY.

This board is the only reason I am not breaking stuff at home right now. I live in LA and often feel removed from what's going on back in NE. It's good to know that everyone sees what a joke BC and Co. have turned NE football into, as I can tell you nobody in LA respects us or our tradition. Remember when a NE loss on the road meant the opponent's field goal posts came down? Those days are long gone. This board is good therapy, though. Thanks for listening, I'm sure it will get better in our lifetime.

Better recruits? Better athletes? I'm definitely not seeing it on the field, and besides, bad coaching negates any improvement we may have in skill and athleticism. I agree with you bro. It's almost worse than Solich. Solich's classes were ranked in the 30s and 40s and his teams played about as good as these dudes. Remember BC's first real class ranked top 5 in everyone's rankings.? Well, they are the upper classmen or gone. That says a lot right there.

I didn't even watch this one, didn't make the same mistake as I did with the SC game. Working late on the west coast, I had to Tivo. I skimmed through the 1st half and, after things were going as I had expected they would, I checked the score b4 wasting my time watching the 2nd half. HOLY S***!!!! Even though I expected a loss. 41 to 6? How have we taken 10 gigantic steps backwards? Did I just wake up and it was 2002 again? BC sucks. The numbers don't lie. Can't win consistently on the road against anybody, can't beat ranked teams, even worse, can't make top 10 recruiting classes into a respectable football team. A team of Solich's mediocre recruits could probably beat us.

I'm not so sure. I actually still like Steve. He had the balls to can Solich, which should have been done long before, and he finally got our facilities to elite status. He just made a piss-poor decision for a coach. As long as he makes some major changes in staff soon, I am still for him as AD

I booed once, when Frankie London was in for a series at QB and then Frost was put back in. Nobody liked Frost at the time. There's nothing wrong with the fans booing when the D is this bad. It's good that our fans are classy, but you've got to draw the line somewhere. As long as we don't do it all the time. You really can't put into words how bad the D looks right now. I'm glad the fans booed. It shows the players and coaches that this ain't up to Nebraska standards. None of them should be wearing blackshirts right now.

Bo Ruud on the Defense: "This week, we manned them up and gave up some yards on some deep throws. I thought we did a pretty good job against the run. They couldn’t run on first or second down, except for one play. Other than that, it was broken plays and deep balls." Can't believe what our D has become. They should take away the black shirts indefinately. We are back to the Bohl era, or worse. I know BC has to make his type of comments to the media...understandable and classy. But what about Ruud? Is he insane? 422 yds passing is a little more than "some yards."

Yes but we will probably find a way to lose to Texas and Mizzou. This staff (or maybe it's the lack of leadership among players) can't get these guys ready for road games. Championship caliber teams win on the road. I hope I'm wrong, but what have we done the past in '06 and '07 to suggest that our road play will be different?

I don't think that's a valid excuse. Maybe we don't when a NC, but we should be much better by now, especially on the road.

I've caught myself saying "It will take time, it's a brand offense and staff." BS, it's been 4 yrs, it's time we stopped using that excuse. Look at Bob Stoops, Pete Carroll, and Urban Meyer. Were they still unable to compete with top teams, or on the road with mediocre ones, after 4 yrs? No, they already had a national title!!!!!!!!!!!!1

3 recruiting classes in in the top 5 or 15, yet most of the starters are still Solich's recruits. WTF does this tell us?

Last night I said that BC would bring us a championship and he had put together a great staff. Sorry everybody, that was the High Life talking. BC right now is similar to Ty Willingham and John Blake in that he recruits great players, but can't mold them into a championship team. As far as his staff, Cosgrove must go. That guy didn't every field a good defense in Wisconsin, nor has he at NU. I still have some faith in BC's abilities. We need a new D Coordinator. How come we are getting all these great recruits and none of them are really becoming impact players? I think it's coaching. I'm also starting to think this offense is too complex. Too much motion, too many plays, and too much crazy verbage. If we just played football, the QB wouldn't have to run to the sideline after every play and it wouldn't take our players 2 yrs to start understanding the offense. The only thing that seems certain right now is that Cosgrove needs to go.
