  1. Yes. I am glad to see that Charlie Wise is showing the nation his true colors. He sucks and is shaped like an egg. I am sick of the nation being so quick to jump on the ND bandwagon. Everyone is now seeing what most of us already new, Willingham is a great recruiter and Wise was lucky to take over a team with lots of talent. Now we are seeing what a Wise-recruited team looks like. However, ND will probably be the first team with a .500 winning % to be in a BCS bowl.
  2. True, true. But I'm just not the biggest fan of Hardy. Everytime they throw to him I hold my breath. I can't wait till all of our receivers are at least 6'3", 240 lbs and can catch anything.
  3. He did look good tonight. Was Castille even in at all tonight? I didn't expect to see Castille tonight, too big of a game for a freshman back when you've Lucky and Glenn. He probably would have fumbled or something. Overall, I was shocked at how poorly we ran the ball. Hats off to Keller for doing what he did with no run support.
  4. Vuren, your are absolutely right. One of my concerns going into this game was the fact that our receivers drop a lot of passes. Tonight, they did a fantastic job (I think Hardy had the most drops, not suprisingly). Hopefully we can keep it up.
  5. Looks like I have at least another week of hearing about how good the Trojans are. Unbelievable play by our rush defense. I couldn't believe how poorly we tackled and how nonexistent our D Line was. Our secondary did very good, as Booty had to go to a lot of his 3rd reads when passing, but that doesn't matter when 2 of your backs avg 13 and 17 yds a carry. How is that even possible? Even DeAngelo Evans could have had those numbers with SC's Oline and our tackling. I am concerned with Cosgrove, again. He seems to be so inconsistent as a coordinator, he'll call great games and be the next McBride most games, but then a game like this happens (ex. OSU last year, and our rush D at Wake). I still know BC is a terrific coach and he will eventually get us to where we should be: He recruits extremely well (remember when Solich's class were ranked in the 30s and 40s?) and has put together a great staff. BC WILL BRING US A CHAMPIONSHIP. Anyone that calls for him to be fired is nuts. Furthermore, Pederson has done his part by making our facilities elite. It will just take more time. The lucky thing is that nobody in the Big 12 could compete with USC, especially not Mizzou (they've done great against 1-AA and creampuff programs this year) My biggest concern is how we will play on the road. If we are consistent and play to our potential on the road, we will easily win the North and beat Texas. Thoughts from a Husker in LA......thanx for listening.
  6. I know it's not related to the Big Red, but I hope everyone else is as happy as I am to see the Irish get demolished yet again in a BCS bowl. When will the powers-that-be realize Notre Dame and Charlie Wise aren't that good? What do they need to do to get an automatic BCS bid, beat the military academies? It makes for a horrible bowl game and is unfair for every other team in the top 10.
  7. I agree. I've always been a fan of Lucky cuz I live near N. Hollywood, but Jackson just seems to have more big-play abilities, seems quicker, and makes guys miss. I would have liked to see a whole lot more of him.
  8. Good point, huskerguy, and I agree it's gonna keep getting better. I just don't want people to be happy with just making it a close game and not getting creamed.
  9. I'm not trying to be too negative because things are still much better than in the Solich era and the future looks like it could be good. However, it is a sad era in Nebraska football when we have several fans stating that we should just be happy that we played with Auburn and didn't get killed. I don't when you all grew up, but when I was growing up in Nebraska if we didn't dominate every game, we weren't happy. Those are very high standards, but that's what Nebraska football is all about.
  10. He should've just run the ball on 3rd & 1 and it would have never been an issue. I mean, at the point Lucky was only gaining about 5-6yds per carry!
  11. I agree. You never know if Nunn is going to catch or drop it. You would think Grixby would have learned the cornerback position after 3yrs, but I guess not. A. Jones improved more half a season than Grixby did in 3. I think Thenarse or Culbert could probably just as good or better.
  12. We started @ Auburn's 40 twice in the 2nd half and got no pts. We need to have an option to kick field goals!
  13. I felt like I was watching a repeat of the Big 12 Championship. Once again our D played their best and gave us every opportunity in the world to win, but we couldn't score points. Why can't our playmakers get the ball more (Purify and Jackson)? I heard Jackson had a broken hand, but look what he did with the little carries he had. I like our staff. I feel they are improving our program, but we should be winning these games. To Callahan: We need a freakin' kicking game. We never get touchbacks on KO's and can't get 3pts outside the 20yd line.
  14. MOVED BY MODERATORS TO THE OFFENDING POSTS THREAD FOR NAME CALLING.
  15. With 3 games left, I think are only chances at wins are vs Kansas and KState. If we start the game this week like we have the last 2 weeks, we will lose to Kansas. Same with Kstate. KState has our number and they are starting to play much better. Get ready for a possible 5-6 season. We have GOT to start out strong on both sides of the ball Saturday.

  17. Quit. We're better off without someone like him. with him, just add a personal foul in place of holding.
  18. The coverage was downfield, which doesn't seem right when it's only 4th & 2.
  19. I don't ever say the refs lost a game for us, but they are obligated to call a fair game. It feels like a conspiracy against us. If they aren't going to call obvious holding calls on our opponents, then be consistent and keep the flag of the field when we're on offense. Anyone know how many holding calls we've had this year?
  20. This shows how inconsistent every team in the Big X11 north has become. Let's hope it returns to how is should be soon..............Huskers dominating, everyone else sucks.
  21. Well, they haven't all year. And that just gives the QB time to pick us apart,
  22. I like this coaching staff so far. They recruit well and have made progress. I am standing by them. But that was NOT a good call. You do not go for the block when it is a 40yarder into a strong headwind and the Sooners have missed one, had one blocked, and botched the snap on another. They only had 2 yards for the 1st! I don't know of a better time for a fake. Going for the block shows we didn't even expect the fake.
  23. Obviously, some of you don't get the point I am trying lay out. Yes it is easy to 2nd guess and make calls from my living room. I am just trying to point out that it seemed like a good chance Stoops would fake it, and we should have played for it, not gone after the block.
  24. Obviously, I am not suggesting we blitz everyone. I'm just suggesting at least 4 linemen and maybe 1 linebacker. If it's 3rd and long, the secondary is going to be the target, so I do not see why you don't send at least one linebacker, as they probably won't be covering downfield anyway (at least I hope not). Have we shown at all this year that our secondary can match up very well against anyone? No. Has Bomar (a freshman) shown he does not throw well under pressure? Yes.
