Did the Husker offense have a Three & Out in any quarter of the Oklahoma game?

    I don't remember one.

I remember at least one.  We dropped what should've been an int but stopped OU, then followed it up with a 3 & out.  Believe it was in the 2nd quarter.

  3. -We won like we were supposed to.  Haven’t seen that in years, sadly.

    -Stepp is the best back

-Martinez can game, when the game is going his way

-The OL may have shown improvement.  Hard to judge when you’re playing Rumham

-CTB needs to never be our punt returner ever again

The biggest and only positive thing I think I can say so far about this coaching staff is in the last two games they’ve significantly cleaned up the penalties…I think we had 2 today? I realize what happened agains Illinois but about half of our penalties last week were bs.  We’re not seeing the constant false starts, etc that we’ve pretty much become numb to *knocks on tree stump*

I will never trust a guy who traded away the best receiver in the game because he had an attitude with the dude.

Not only that, he traded Hopkins for David Johnson, a second and a fourth round pick - while giving away a forth pick.  He didn't even get a top draft pick for Hopkins.  Can't trust a guy with seeing that hot mess.

No kidding.  Not to mention, if you watched the Texan's games, he made some AWFUL coaching decisions.  I really don't think he's a good coach, personally.  Talent covered up a lot.

    I get it.

But I also think it's one of those things where it's one play, but it's the one that sticks out the most. Meanwhile we somehow only managed 160 yards rushing - where 75 of those 160 came from what I think was just a scramble running play from Martinez.

Our offensive execution, run game, and special teams pretty much sucked b**** for four quarters.

I mean I agree, there are plenty of fingers to be pointed at the coaches.  However, I also saw the same mistakes from a 4 year starter that I've seen for 3 years.  Same s#!t, different game.

I disagree with the assessment that Adrian "sucks."

If he hits the one to the left side of the end zone that was just 10" too high and if our special teams weren't pathetic we probably win that game.

Pass protection was also bad for a solid portion of the game also. The play call by Frost to go empty backfield, five wide on the 3rd & 2 in the second quarter also showed just how bad our pass protection can be; they only rushed four against our five down linemen. Should have given Adrian the space to scramble but didn't and then he fumbled as the pocket collapsed and was trying to lunge forward.

Nobody loves the Monday morning armchair offensive coordinator but with where the clock was at combined with where the score was at, I'm just calling a run play with Stepp on that play. Empty backfield just doesn't work for us.

How many times has he missed throws almost exactly like that during his time here?  He is who he is at this point.

I have a sinking feeling that this is all being done at the behest of the tippy top of NU.  Moos being pushed out not to long ago reaks of a timely agenda.  This now coming out weeks before the season starts via 'self reporting'.  Why now?  Why not wait until the season starts to minimize media/fan focus?  Starting to look like this is all pre-planned by the uppers.  They may very well have enough evidence to void their contract with Frost and not pay him a penny after letting him go.  Would of had this evidence when they got video of him practicing with the team last summer at High School field during the covid lock-down.  Breaking both NCAA rules and University rules would easily void his contract and would be bullet proof in court.  Was probably a calculated move to see how Frost would fair in the covid season and as things were pretty much the same as the prior two years, the decision was made to move on.  The only question now being when.  I don't think this is just a Frost problem, but an athletic program problem as well.  Trev was hired to clean house and clean house he will.  Notice how nobody was proclaiming Trev was going to be the next AD?  Perhaps the leakers were feed false info (Edward Stewart) to flush them out?  If Trev was pre-selected long ago, you can bet your backside our next HC is also pretty much a done deal.  With Frost trying to get out of the OU game and a wood shed experience coming whether we have Frost or not, I am willing to bet the top brass slow feed the fanbase the details of this scandal until the OU blowout loss and then after that game announce Frost is being let go.  An interim coach would be selected to run the show the rest of the season and the newly already selected HC will be announced in the final week of the season.

This seems like quite the stretch.  If Frost gets fired, it will have nothing to do with this.  It's also unlikely that it will void his contract.
