  1. Once again, I appreciate all of the suggestions. My trip to Lincoln was an absolute blast. Lot 7 was a fun lot to be in, and I'm glad we ended up there. We were playing bags at 6:15 this morning and the Parking lot staff was fun to be around and get to know. They were impressed with how early we were there, and with our set up; very complimentary, which was nice. Everyone we ran into wished us good luck and told us to enjoy our time; man is it fun to visit a place when people are so cordial. Much of the same was true for the people in the stadium and sitting around us. Obviously I was thrilled with how the game turned out, which obviously made the day that much better. I'm excited for the rematch next year in Iowa City and I hope it's a meaningful game; I hope today helps sting a bit so this moves closer to a rivalry. I think a rivalry would e awesome and everything needed is there, but it's gonna take time and needs to be a big game each year. We gave a nice punch in the mouth today, in your house, after taking a couple in previous years. My only complaint was our magnets being thrown off our car during the game; probably should've taken them off, but we ended up finding them anyways. Best of luck with Bo and in the bowl game; win for the B1G!
  2. If Iowa finds a way to win Saturday, I think this starts turning into more of a true rivalry.
  3. "Yes, you can see the whole field from the seats. They are probably 1/2 to 2/3 of the way up under the overhang, I haven't really tried to figure it out. There is a flat screen tv right above the seats for seeing replays. There are also two big screens mounted on the East Stadium that I can see for replays, etc., but I prefer the tv right above. You can not see the big screen on top of the North stadium."
  4. Well, from what I was told you can't see the scoreboard on the North endzone, but can see the entire field and the East side video boards. Let's hope that's accurate.
  5. Coming off a 4-8 season, why wouldn't we be happy to get to 7-4 and continuing to get closer to back on track? We're okay with any season outcome? Umm...Yes, that's why so many Iowa fans are fed up with Ferentz, want him out, etc; because they're content with whatever each season brings us... People want 8 or more wins every year. It's not easy to do with some of the inherent disadvantages, and quite honestly we were spoiled during the 2000s because of how good we became. When things started to slip a bit, and 7 win seasons started happing, people in Hawkeye Nation are getting antsy because they demand more. To think that Iowa fans are content with average, 7 win seasons, on a consistent basis is absurd. This year, though, coming off 4-8 with what was seemingly a much tougher schedule, I think in August, many would've been content with 7 wins. Now? People want 8, and they want it bad. A likely trip to the Outback Bowl after a 4-8 season would make this one a pretty darn good one for Iowa fans. Iowa fans want this one Friday because it is a perfect opportunity to start turning this into a rivalry that could be pretty good someday. I came across a stat today..Since 1998 Nebraska has 64 losses. From 1962-1997 they had only 69. Nebraska Football will never be what it was; be mad at 8-3, especially with a weak schedule, but additionally, understand that you're not a program that will win 10+ every year anymore. The national recruiting that made Nebraska so good is not near what it was, and their defense just isn't close to that true 90's blackshirt d. I understand this is a Husker forum, and it may not be my place to make this post, but I thought I'd give my take from an Iowa perspective.
  6. Additionally, my seats are in the West stadium, row 42..I was told there isn't any obstruction of the field or anything, is this true? Thanks.
  7. Ahh, the big guy wearing red amongst 80,000 others in red. I have a pass for Lot 7 now. Looking forward to it.
  8. Well, since you're a Lot 7 vet, how early does it start filling? I'd prefer not to be underneath the Interstate and out in the sunshine. We usually get to the tailgate lots very early; They open at 6am, correct? Look for us! Hawkeye tent with the Hawkeye Nation flag!
  9. I appreciate all of the help, guys. I may just get a pass in lot 7 and say screw it so that we can tailgate near the stadium. The cups are a must though, from what I'm seeing? Tailgating without beer would be quite possibly the craziest thing I've ever done. It's supposed to be mild for late November, so we want to bring our cornhole and whatnot as we may not make the bowl game.
  10. Hey ya'll. I'm making the trip over from Iowa and I had a couple of questions I was hoping you could help me with. 1. Do I need a parking pass prior to gameday? I would like to get one in a lot I can tailgate in, and I'm not sure if there are general parking tailgate lots or not. 2. Regarding the alcohol policy, is it strictly enforced? Pour beers into cups to avoid trouble? I've never ran into this kind of a thing on the road, and in my previous trip to Lincoln we didn't tailgate. 3. Do all donor lots allow tailgating? Thanks in advance to everyone taking the time!
