Interesting that no one started the buzz about the Buffalo committ in attendance. That's the first thing that struck me in the article. I've had a few different thoughts on this, but feel it was probably just a courtesy so the kid didn't feel hung out in the wind. Not many players from Nebraska have historically went to Buffalo, so it might be safe to assume he went because of Gill? With all the rumors maybe Dr Tom just wanted to keep him in the loop on where they are at. Pretty classy.

Does it really matter? This isn't a rumor. It is fact of a meeting. For all you know the meeting could be to turn in team jock straps.

I think it would look so awesome, in some youtube video it shows Benard Thomas after a sack and the creator of the video made his jersey turn from red to black and it looked awesome. Which homers are you speaking about in any Twin Cities paper? The ONLY one who writes in that area that is any part Homer is Sid Hartman. The rest of them are so Anti-Minnesota it isn't even funny. The Vikes fired most of the remaining assistants today. Nothing alarming. I think there were 11 total. 4 more are being held over for interviews with the new staff. Cottrell was horrible anyway, and was called out by a couple players half way through the season for running a terrible defensive scheme, so don't read too much into it.
