They just did, didn’t they?
Maybe I missed it, I'm going back and forth between this and MNF but I thought the UCF guy volunteered reluctantly his location.

Yup, but don’t think they should be sharing that info
I'm sure they're not, they're just using it to tell if people are making multiple accounts prob.

Do people really not know who Rob Zatechka is !?!?!?
I was talking to my wife during the game when Jaimes got hurt and this came up. How is it that I can remember every player from every team in the 90's but am surprised to learn there is a guy on our line named "Jaimes" who has started 9 games or whatever.
I think it's because when I was a kid games were still on the radio and they would be announced with an urgency by Kent and they would just be cemented in your brain. Without all extra info of the internet you lazer focused on the info you could get, the depth chart or roster list in Saturday mornings paper.

You're having another baby soon or you just had a baby??? RunMickeyRun02 = SF???
Scott just had his kid IIRC, but the paralells are there. My wife moved to Florida as a teen, her father attended all three Uni's Nebraska, then Florida and UCF (the three most talked about Uni's in this thread). My wife is a gators fan (kinda sorta) and I don't mind them since they didn't have a history of beating the crap out of us in the Orange Bowl. So I've followed both UF and UCF closer these last 6 or 7 years than I had the rest of my life.
My mother-in-law was up in arms the day Eichorst was hired. I was hoping she was wrong, she hates Miami but still recognized the damage he did there. She had zero confidence in Riley from the start if for no other reason than the guy that hired him. I was optimistic and it sucks when you have to admit your mother-in-law was right.
Also I was SUPPOSED to go to the infamous UCF game where Scott got boo'd (depending on who you ask) but my mom got pick-pocketed shortly after she bought the tickets and I couldn't go. I listened on the radio as some no name QB named Daunte Cul-something gave us more fits then they were supposed to. I was a Frankie London guy because he reminded me of other short QB from Louisiana..... but I never would have boo'd Scott or any other Husker.

I remember the Pelini hiring, I was amped just like everyone else then when he was hired my co-worker who isn't that into sports responded "Isn't that what everyone said we were getting" or something like that. He didn't mean to but it was like letting go of a balloon filled with my happy emotions. I hope it's a slam dunk like that.
Then I remember the Tressel stuff, I even remember seeing that same ItsHappening.gif today which made me worried. I never wanted Tressel but that sock thread was fun.

Why would you do that?
what...... what is it like??
You learn things, about other stuff. For example, my wife is making BLT's for dinner and apparently we're having another baby soon, had no idea.

This thread has a weird effect on me. I wasn't a big "WE MUST HAVE SCOTT OR I'LL DIE" guy until I started reading this thread. I seem to lose all control of my mental state and get super invested. Seeing how badly everyone wants him you can't help but get caught up. Yet when I walk away from my computer I become a normal human again it's weird.

One of my favorite movie characters of all time.
.....and I'm not at all surprised he wound up on this thread.

Osborne said there was no guarantee they win a share of the championship if they tied. That is why he went for the win
The story I heard was he asked the players around them what they wanted to do because it was 'their team', they wanted to go, so he did. As a leader he took the ownership of the decisions result.

Do we have some betting odds on if this coaching search will be over before @Huskerzoo can archive every rumor?
Although this would be interesting information why would one do that to themselves? Masochist?

At every level there are coaches who think they can "fix" a guy they are enamored with. Their was a good clip of Coach Leach talking about this very thing. We saw his numbers at Tulane and thought he'd be different here and so will the next team, at least enough to get drafted.

Not a coach I want now but Will Healy - Austin Peay coach will be a hot commodity in a couple years. Took over in ‘16 and record isn’t great now but team plays well and trending in right direction.
Austin Peay records
’12 2-9
’13 0-12
’14 1-11
’15 0-11
’16 0-11
’17 7-4
Interesting

I was thinking to myself earlier about how quick some people are to jump on a bandwagon... How many of you have ever watched a complete game that Scott has coached as a head coach? I'm not pointing any fingers or trying to drag people down but I know of several people who are begging for Scott to be our next coach but they have no clue what the product he puts on the field even looks like.
This is a good point, I think most people see a former Husker with a lot of W's and that's all they need to see to get worked up about him.
I was a late comer to the party. It was more of a relenting thing. Somebody has to be coach, so why not him? He's who everyone seems to want, I can't think of anyone better so that's cool.

Bohl seems to have the same make-up of just about every coach under the TO/Solich tree (including Solich) in that they are good at developing the kids they get but either don't like or aren't great at recruiting. They seem to thrive at lower levels of CFB be it non-P5 or 1AA where they can find overlooked guys (another trait they all seem to possess) and coach them up/make them better

Gotta give credit to @olddominionhusker who had the same idea, but wrote it faster than I did. Great minds think alike, which is a phrase I just made up.
As long as the squirrel thing was your idea, you still win imo.

We made fun of that rumor yesterday. It was good for some laughs.
It was @knapplc screenplay in response that had me doing a spit take on my monitor.
I will now use "A SQUIRREL APPEARS" whenever and however I can in my day to day life.

From the opposite perspective, even if Nebraska came calling, if I'm Craig Bohl I remember being run out of town pitchforks and torches chasing after me. I instead I extend a very specific finger and say "thanks but no thanks".

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who still in it to the end.
Now basketball is still perplexing. Kent was talking about people leaving the game while the huskers were only up 2 possession with 4 minutes left...I just don't get it.
