  1. FRIENDSHIP Friendship is like pissing your pants. Everyone can see it, but only you can feel its true warmth. So thank you for being the piss in my pants.
  2. Also just heard Coach Cal is visiting w/ grixby again tonight. seems its down to us or notre dame who he visited last wknd. said he enjoyed it and the tradition and the campus is great and likes south bend, which is similar to lincoln, but we still have the best facilities in the country. apparntely ND wants him to play WR whereas we will let him go either WR or DB. said he feels more comfortable w/ Gill than the ND coach, b/c he has known him longer. said he would be willing to work with any DB coach we have on staff and would be real excited as a Husker. to me this sounds very positive and I think he'll commit his heart & soul to NU later this wk.
  3. hey heres a norvell related art: seems it may still be a possiblity for him to be a husker. but I guess theres a gag order on assistant coaches from talking about their desires to leave oakland, big shocker. sounds like some others want out too, so that may actualy help http://www.timesstar.com/Stories/0,1413,12...1902813,00.html
  4. by the way its lookin good also for this brandon jackson kid. as you said blackshirt he was recruited by Blake at Miss State who he really likes. he will be in lincoln this weekend and said that if it goes well he may comitt. this would be badass. hes the 17th rated rb in the nation with 4.39 40.
  5. thanks blackshirt this is good stuff. one update to your list, just read that ken o neal has his short list at FSU & Georgia. unless Call and co have some stealth missions goin on i think were out on this one b/c he said he will decide real soon. dam
  6. here's another art bout this kid i found that is interesting. found this to be curious: Panico confessed he was frustrated he'd generated no recruiting interest from his home state schools. wonder why not? this is probably why Cal liked him: snip How good is Panico's work ethic? "Unmatched by anyone you've ever had in your program," Kuceyeski said. "His intensity in practice and in the weight room and during his training was a motivator for a lot of other kids in our program. He did raise the level of our practice session at times." "His intangibles, as far as leadership and intensity, outweigh his size," he said. "He's not small, but he's not overly big. I think a lot of schools looked at that as a detriment." seems he also is very coachable and team oriented, with good integrity: Callahan said he liked Panico's integrity and character and ability to make plays. "I'll play anywhere the team needs me," he said. "It doesn't matter to me. I just want to play, and I want to win. I'm very physical on defense, and on offense I can catch the ball and get open. http://www.journalstar.com/corn.php?story_id=115676
  7. yeh just read an article bout this Mclellan kid. seems he's making a run at Iback. This beast is 6'3 220, a true WCO halfback prototype. seems like Call and Co are drifting away from the mold we currently have in place, ie Ross. I still hope its Ross' spot to lose, b/c he earned it. snip: McClellan rushed for 1,400 yards and 24 touchdowns as a junior. He then missed the first six games of his senior season after undergoing surgery to repair torn knee cartilage. The new coaches are all cool," McClellan said. "They're cool dudes. It was nice out there. They showed us the stadium. We saw the Heisman room, the weight room and met all the academic people." http://www.omaha.com/index.php?u_np=0&u_pg...38&u_sid=979853
  8. I actually like to see posts from different angles. that was some interesting info I didnt know about those guys. I thought it was an objective opinion backed up by stats, so I have no problem with this guys take. he stated his case very clearly and still showed some respect at the same time. on the other hand this jerkoff huckfuskers and kstatewildmuf that come in here just post mindless banter and show absolutely no wherewithall or substance on any subject. keep em coming RockyMtnSooner, a differnt opinon is good for this board whether some people recognize it or not. so post away brutha.
  9. so true hack. hey if you could let Stoops and co know that our fellow WyomingHusker should have some extra tin foil hats and body armor for them to use. he seems to be spending much of his life blinded by the glare on his foil outfit.
  10. the city of CHI checkin in. Husker Red representin from Cubbieville!! ya feel me?!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So hucklefusker, how did this fiasco turn out anyway? I heard they yanked Ellie's 'ship and Fiesta bowl loser ring. this true? what a crock. does this piss you off or what? i should hope so. made your program look twice as nice taking action after the game not to mention even after he has adjudicated by the POLEase. hmmm... would the same thing have happened if they wouldve won the fiesta bowl perhaps? doubt it. what do you kstate hax think? if thats not 2 much 2 AX.
  12. I would have to agree Heiniken. My top all time Husker moments are 1 Miracle in Mizzou 2 Black 41 Flash Reverse 3 Johnny the Jett punt return 4 How many tackles can one man break!?!!! Touchdown Tommie Frazier!!! help me out here. I know im forgetting some good ones.
  13. alright you loadies, enuf with that nonsense. Well the latest has Bo going to OU as the DC. allegedly been confirmed but nothing firm. but keep in mind that Sherman of the Packers just fired his DC, so hopefully he brings bo back aboard so we dont have to worry bout tanglin with that freak in norman next season.
  14. Im not sure what to think about Blake or these others recntly brought in. Im w/ Hack about not passing judgement, but someone has to. hopefully SP and BC did too. I just hope he isnt only brining in his old buddies and these alleged recruiting gurus. it seems that this is more an all star team of Lemmings favorites than anything else. The only tangible stuff we have on these guys is their history. and their stats speak for themselves. the one thing they have in common is that they have all not been very succesful. if so they wouldnt still be coordinators at 2nd rate programs. I just dont know how they justified hiring a Blake with his recent ineptitudes. How much can you know about someone you interview once? not much, so that leaves you with their record. and Blakes record isnt very redeeming. didnt BC and Steve kinda wonder when they didnt see ANY football coaching referenes on Blakes resume? instead there were those dive jobs at walmart and chuckecheese from 1982-88. hmm, whats the deal with this employment gap Mr Blake?.... Oh dont worry about that Steve, I was the President of the US during that time. Oh you were, okay then youre hired.
  15. Well we just have 2 wknds left and supposedly 15 will make the hajj to mecca. not sure if this is possible. Anyone know who some of these 15 might be?
  16. apparntly Gill visited him the other day and it went great. he's that 6-foot-2, 295-pound three-star rated defensive tackle from Kilgore Junior College and is a DT. this is good news.
  17. 4 recruits sched'd for lincoln visits this weekend fo Callys first recruiting wknd. Three of the four players that will be in on official visits this weekend are already verbal commits. LBs Maurice McClellan and Michael Keenan and defensive lineman Andy Christensen. The 4th is that guy people were talking about in that other post Santino Panico. I heard he is RB. but others say WR. which is it?
  18. Im sure we all have heard about Coach Cal trying to land his old budie from Oakland. well rumor has it that old lady Al davis has been trying to throw some weight around and intimidate NU. jay's contract doesn't run out until next February a year from now. Davis says that Nebraska is interfering with his contracted employees. Jay has tried to resign but al wont let him b/c says he is still under contract. we dont need any more snafus. we just need a good coach. I dont know what to think about all these "old friends' BC is giving jobs to. hopefully they are more than just good friends. and are actuaully the best for the job.
  19. This is a load of sh#t. and has to be the work of little stevie pedersen. He waited until he had a scapegoat to deflect some of the blame. now it just looks like it was callahans doing. no way he already decided that all these coaches are not worthy. steve sent a man in callahan to do his bitch work because his public image couldnt take anotehr beating. what a spineless bastard.
  20. Good site. keep it up. people need to post more though. dont be afraid that your opinion isnt important. its all about opinions and different views. so lets hear more from more members but other than that I like the site. thanks.
  21. and..... your both wrong. try again. or I'll try for you. how about philly v NE just like I said at the start of the playoffs.
  22. buh bye chief chokers. not even sure why your def suited up today. philly NE all the way just like I said. bob
  23. seriously folks. we are NOT ready for the west coast offense. i dont care how "sexy" it sounds to us or recruits. most all of the guys we have in the system now were recruited to play in the option I back offense. so why would top notch "WCO" players come here in the next 4 yrs knowing we wont run the thing effectively for 5? just 2 more words should sum it up: Notre dame
  24. yeh i wouldnt put much credence to that "top 10 list" by that Lemming clown. here's a good quote that sums it up Recruiting analyst Tom Lemming ranked Callahan (his dear friend, by the way) as one of his top 10 recruiters of "all time." That would mean a whole lot more if coaches kept a list of their top 10 recruiting analysts.
  25. i really dont know whos on the board and/or fence. Nzone you seem to have your stuff together about he cruits so can you maybe give us some choices? maybe create a poll or something. thanks
