  1. It always rains in South Florida around 3pm, but it could rain on one side of the street and not the other. As others have said, it's the lightning.
  2. I think Golden was a decent hire by Miami, however he certainly seems to have lost the support of the fans. It may be his time to go after this season. Who would you like to see on the sidelines besides Golden if this happens? Al Golden was a worse hire than Randy Shannon...chew on that. It was his time to go when he refused to fire his best friend, his DC after having the 112th ranked defense in 2012. Then it was time to go after he "went dark" for a week and tried to get the Penn State job. It was time for him to go after he went 6-7 with a team that had 7 draft picks and 9 guys that made opening day NFL rosters. Read my signature for my choice, and the choice of most Miami fans. Al Golden did a nice job where he was at before Miami, wasn't it Temple? He took them from terrible to respectable. Some guys are good at overachieving with little, but when they get the big gig don't know how to deal with it. I don't know if he is that way or not. Miami is probably more than he can handle though. The biggest regret in Butch Davis's life has to be leaving Miami to go coach in the NFL. I have never understood why good college coaches always think they have to reach for that level. So many of them fail. Golden had the best recruiting classes in the MAC at Temple, and the most talent at Temple. Did he bring them back from the dead? Yes, but only as far as his mediocre coaching could take them. He was 3-24 against teams with winning records at Temple. He never won the MAC. He never won his division in the MAC. At Miami he is 0-4 against FSU. He is 11-17 against teams above .500. He's 0-2 in bowls. He's never won the Coastal, forget the ACC, despite having more talent than everyone in the ACC not named FSU or Clemson.

Is Butch Davis even eligible to coach yet? If they could somehow figure that out and get him back, that would be a good hire IMO. Hopefully you guys won't have to wait much longer for that to happen. Davis was never implicated in anything at UNC. On July 27, 2011, Davis was fired by UNC chancellor Holden Thorp amid an NCAA investigation of academic misconduct and allegations players receiving improper benefits from agents. Thorp said the move was necessary to restore confidence in UNC's integrity. On September 19, 2011, in response to an NCAA notice of allegations, Davis was never mentioned in the NCAA inquiry and had no involvement in the investigation. In 2013, Davis told CBS Sports' Bruce Feldman that he believed his firing was an "overreaction" by Thorp, in the belief that "if he released me, maybe the investigation of the football program would go in a different direction." Around the same time, Baddour told Feldman that firing Davis "was not my recommendation." Baddour added that Thorp was well aware that he wanted Davis to remain as coach.

  5. not if they beat us 38-13. They're not gonna hold us to 13. We might in the first quarter
  6. Miami gets Stacey Coley back this week. He was a freshman all-American, had a bad year last year, but is expected to have a breakout this year and be our best WR and also punt returner. As a freshman he had 33 catches for 591 yards and 7 TD. He had averaged 22 yards per punt return, and was the only person in the FBS to have a TD receiving, rushing, on a kickoff return and a punt return. He got hurt in game #1 against Louisville last year and struggled the entire year. He got hurt against Behtune-Cookman and was held out last week as a precaution. We'll likely be without our slot WR, Braxton Berrios who got hurt against Bethune, but we do have Rashawn Scott back this year. He sat out 2014 because of academic issues, and only played 4 in 2013 before getting hurt, but in 2012 had 35 for 512 and this year has 9-122 and TD through 2 games and is the guy Kaaya looks for when in trouble and on 3rd down. Miami doesn't have one stud, but they have a lot of solid WRs....though many are hoping Coley becomes the "guy."
  7. Please put us out of our misery on Saturday. Our fans are getting into fights with our coaches, we're flying Fire Golden banners at every game....please, help us. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJsovTbVb5g https://twitter.com/MikeCugnoCBS4/status/642467790293716992
  8. Does your coach have a pulse? If the answer is yes, then he will out coach Al Golden.
  9. #2, Yearby. #1 is the true freshman, Mark Walton, Yearby's backup. He scored 3 TDs against FAU, but only had 42 yards. Yearby had 146 on 18 carries and had 3 catches for 97 yards. The best of the bunch might end up being #32, Trayone Gray. He's 3rd string now, and the coaches don't fully trust him as he's a converted QB, but he's 6-2, 215 and has 16-121 on the year. He's our only "big" back, after Gus Edwards, 6-2, 240, and the starter after camp, was lost to a foot injury and is out for the year.
  10. Those guys are nothing compared to the Miami internet sensation that is Dannyboy. And, it's Dannyboy who died of the swine flu after being attacked by a bear while eating pizza at a walmart in New Jersey. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-wwFlba8xc
  11. I think you're over-reacting. FSU only won 30-26. I don't see any big losses last season for Miami. A coach that can avoid blowouts can't be all bad. He probably just needs more time. Not at all. Watch the game, you'll see it. As for last year, while the we only lost to you guys by 10, it was 17 before the last TD, and you ran all over us. Louisville beat us by 18. Virginia beat us by 17 (and it wasn't that close). Pitt manhandled us in Miami. I guess we can agree to disagree. Let's split the difference. We'll beat you but make it close. In that way you can get the L to make the case to fire Al Golden but by making it close it helps my case that you should give him more time Yeah....I don't like that. How about you guys run for 400 yards in the first half, and Al isn't allowed back out on the field for the 2nd? I'd prefer if you kick a couple of field goals, let us get up by a couple of touchdowns and then make a comeback to pull within one late in the 4th. Instead of going for the tie, pass for a 2 point conversion and we'll swat it away crushing all of your hopes and dreams. Somehow, I don't think it'll be the same

  13. Miami won't sniff being a top program with Temple Al in charge
