  2. Wish there was a way to downvote this post into oblivion. I hate it's tone, it's question mark "logic", and the defeatist attitude that is being unfairly projected on Scott Frost (that says more about what is between the poster's ears than Scott Frost's ears.)
  3. Orlando newspaper tone sounds as if they are resigned to the fact that Frost is leaving. Scott Frost climbs top of UCF mountain with epic victory, but will he stay?
  4. If you are listening to Matt Davison's commentary he is doing a lot of awkward pauses to stop himself from saying the name of NU's next Head Coach.
  5. Yes it does. I realize this is the time for all those who see themselves as The True Fans to come out and say things like this, but for a good percentage of us it is not that difficult to see how non-competitive this team is and it is downright painful to see that, when the Game Plan is so obviously against us, that it is going to be a painful thing to watch. Full disclosure: I will probably have my ears on the Husker game and my eyes on the UCF game.
  6. Well, sad to say, the UCF vs USF game kicks off in 3 hrs and it holds a heck of a lot more interest for me than NU/Iowa. That's just how low the program is. I'd love to see our seniors go out with a win in Memorial Stadium, but realistically this may be the shortest game in school history. Iowa will need to try only a handful of passes, I'm afraid and they will all be on 3rd down. The game plan is clear: Run against one of the worst run defenses in the country. See how much they can beat Minnesota's rushing totals by. The clock will be kept moving and the game time should be mercifully short. I'm curious to see UCF for the first time, but I have to root for a USF victory just to put SF officially in play sooner. If he's NOT in the championship game or a Jan. 1 bowl game, it just makes the path that much clearer that much sooner. His star will not be diminished too much by a loss today.

  8. 5 Key Moves UCF Football made to become 10-0 http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/ucf-knights/knights-notepad/os-sp-ucf-football-1123-story.html Now why do you suppose that headline DOES NOT read: 5 Key Moves Scott Frost made to UCF to get to 10-0 ???
  9. People... people. Until Scott Frost's signature is on the contract, his agent is doing his job (and acting in his own commission's self-interest) to stir the pot and try to drive up the offers. SF is not going to lie to Tom Osborne's face (or in his ear) - and if you don't think that he's personally handling this transaction you are dumber than a bag of hammers. If nothing else, Nebraska should have the right of first refusal. People can throw all of the offers (official or unofficial) at him that they want. If Nebraska is the job he wants, he might get the final numbers on the contract a bit higher but there is (so far) no real reason to panic, that I can see.
  10. Two can play at that game: "For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken away from them." - Matt. 25:29
  11. Great. Now it's a REAL bidding war. Props to the poster that came up with this image and a slightly different caption last night. (Don't have time to go back and give proper credit).
  12. Scott Frost opinion on the CFB when a 3 loss Mississippi St. jumps UCF. Video in this link.
  13. You have this backwards, I think. Chip Kelly would not have the luxury of waiting to decide between Florida and UCLA, if SF had not already rebuffed Florida. They are doing revisionist history to make it out like they wanted Chip Kelly first and "will expand" the search to include SF. They wanted Scott Frost first. The "expand the search" is just to put a little weak heat on Kelly's decision making process.
  14. Plus, I believe his brother Steve went there before he did. (Steve is still out there and has been Stanford's Public Address Announcer since 1999).
  15. Perhaps we are being a bit too obvious... http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/21503637/nebraska-fans-going-crazy-thought-scott-frost-coming-home
  16. Looked ahead at next year's schedule and check out the last game of the year!
  17. For those concerned about the $8M figure being tossed about by Florida, let me remind you: http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/ucf-knights/os-sp-ucf-scott-frost-oregon-mike-bianchi-1202-20161201-column.html Money is part of the equation, but it is not the answer to the test.
  18. It might sound like chicken feed now, but Scott Frost gets $100K for appearing in a major bowl this year and another $100K for winning it.
  19. Bill Moos is going to be getting all the credit for pulling this off, but frankly I think there has been only one guy in contact with SF (and quite possibly his agent): https://www.landof10.com/nebraska/tom-osborne-to-serve-as-consultant-for-nebraskas-ad-search
