  1. That is sillines... give up the ONE decent thing we have left, our sellout record? Yeah, lets just lie down and give it away to Michigan... are you kidding me!? Keep coming, keep cheering LOUD and always keep the faith. The silver lining of all of this is now we will appreciate the games when we are stomping mudholes in our opponents because we know what its like to be on the receiving end of it. We got spoiled, lets face it. How many games did you leave early because we were up 40 and 50 points? Never, ever give up your tickets and buy whatever you can get your hands on. The fans are a BIG PART of what made this program rise to the pinnacle of college football. WE ARE THE BEST FANS, no question! I was at the KU game, and as much as I wanted to smash the faces of the KU fans, I showed them respect and they showed it back... do unto others, etc. Enough of my rant... get out to the game this weekend and support those Seniors... its not entirely their fault, they do what they are told! The people getting PAID are to blame...
  2. I AM NOT KIDDING! SOMEONE DID BREAK MY WINDOW IN KC ON FRIDAY NIGHT BEFORE THE GAME. THEY STOLE MY CELL PHONE AND RADAR DETECTOR. I WAS IN WESTPORT AND LEFT MY HUSKER HAT IN THE WINDOW, SHOWING MY UNFALTERING SUPPORT OF A TEAM WHO NEEDS DIE HARD FANS MORE THAN EVER. THE CRACKHEAD WHO RIPPED ME OFF MUST HAVE SEEN IT AND THOUGHT VISITING HUSKER FANS FOR THE PICKING.
  3. I am curious to know what people think about the sell out IF bill is retained for another year? Do the donors pull their money and let their seats go to the next bidder? Is firing BC the only way to keep the record intact? Is the sellout record the only thing that Nebraska has left? Sorry if this is beating a deadhorse, but I got to thinking about it at the Lawrence game as the only time they sell out is when Nebraska comes to town and I started thinking how much I have taken for granted with the 80K+ everytime we play at home. I think we should keep coming and pressuring TO to can BC... thats the only thing we can do as fans, unless we want to act out CU style and throw shiznit on the field!
  4. Thanks for posting the links to the audio... I cant stand to look at BC anymore. I think everyone should make a sign for the K state game telling Callahan to do the right thing and QUIT!
  5. I talked to a senior nebraska fan after the KU game and after listening to my rant about the coaches, he said something profound. He said "you should win a game after putting up 40 points, but when you are giving up 70 there is nothing we can do except fire the D Coach. Callahan has some good ideas and made some progress with his approach, and he should be retained for one more year to clean toilets if nothing else". I changed my stance on Callahan and think we should stick with him for ONE more year, but Coz has got to go... no if ands or buts. I think Callahan could be successful if he loosens his grip on the play calling as he is outcoaching himself it seems. How many back up QBs come into their first start and set a top 3 school record? I was impressed with Ganz, and Helu. There were flashes of good play on the offense, but the D just didnt show up... again. Time to cut Coz loose and start over with someone like Pelini... someone who will breathe fire and spit nails before he allows his team to give up 20 points, let alone 70!!
  6. KU... because I told their fans after the beating we took that we would rather see KU win the north than mizzou. KU respects us, Mizzou detests us.
  7. Thats because the bastages that should have broken BCs window broke mine!! Those sonzabeyatches in KC are the crappiest people in the world. Screw KC and everything in mizzou, by far the worst place to visit in America, worse than New Orleans after Katrina ripped through!

  10. Thanks for the note... Big Red will be back, and better than ever. Goooooooooo HUSKERS! boomer sooner?
  11. Just curious to hear what you think will happen to the 2008 class if they fire the head coach? Does Gabbert still come to play? Will Trevor Robins go to Michigan or Notre Dame now? Eager to hear what you think!!
  12. I expect the 97 team to hijack the uniforms and pads of the nonhackers and take matters into their own hands! I hope the 97 Blackshirts body slam the entire defensive unit if more than 400 yards are given up!
  13. Just curious to hear what prospects we have if Callahan does leave... anyone?
  14. If we dont win this game, I think some staff changes need to be made. Hell, if Pinkel can beat us again in Columbia then it proves the system is NOT working and something needs to give, like pink slips! I mean really... Mizzou? Are you kidding me? Sucky little stadium in a crappy little town, so why are they such a threat? Its time to put that team in their place and take our rightful spot at the top of the big 12 North. Blackshirts need to take a murderous outlook on this game and send the message LOUD and CLEAR that we are NEBRASKA and NOBODY messes with us... NOBODY! Keller will do his part, if Purify can keep his head on straight during the game... I feel so bad for that kid. He is miraculous in everything he does and we are blessed to have his talent on our team. Time to go to Mo and beat Mo with Mo! Know what I am saying!? Beat them like a red headed step child and leave a mess of mizzou body parts on the field!
  15. Thanks! I will pass that along... GO BIG RED!
  16. Besides the reserved lots around the stadium that cost $1000 apiece, does anyone know where people can tailgate before the game? I have friends coming to see ISU play and are used to the Ames atmosphere of tailgating. Can you do it right in the street or parking garages? Personally, I go to the bars... but I want these fans to have a good time cuz their team is going down! Thanks in advance!
  17. If you took the time to read it all, you would see that this thread is about getting peoples attention, just like it got yours! NOT ONCE did I say I am a better fan, etc. than anyone on this board. Personal attacks ensued becuase people didnt like my approach of grabbing attention, but guess what? It works! I think it would be a motivator for the players if they knew that their jobs were on the line if we have another D meltdown like we did the last THREE games! I, like you, no matter how wrong or right, am entitled to my opinion... and I think Steve messed up bad. Not to mention, he is bad mouthing the same fans that STAND and cheer every game at the end, no matter the outcome... It boils down to heart, and the late lacking by the players who wear the coveted blackshirt, yet, have no idea what it really means. Ask Jason Peters what he thinks... because he is the one that inspired me to say these things!!
  18. You know, you seem like a cool cat... what do you think the coaches can do to get the players to shore up the holes in the run defense? I bet Wistrom and those guys would get their azzes chewed bad by McBride, and look how they turned out! I think we are coddling this team too much. just my honest opinion. A big problem is that Coz has his backer blitz off tackle, he should consider run blitzes in the gaps instead. Also, our D-line plays too high which makes me think coaching sucks and they are tired. We need to say forget it and play 8 in the box by bringing Ruud up to the line on the strong side, have the DE play heads up on the tackle to shoot the gap and then bring up our best safety in run support. He would play Weak side and Dillard and Octavien would be in the middle. That is our best bet I think. WOW!! Thats an awesome answer... much respect to your knowledge of the inner workings. What does playing too high mean? they are being asked to move around too much? Don't forget the RUN and the PASS are both hurting us right now. Wake Forest exploited both, USC Ran all over us, and Ball St. aired it out......all done easily! So you really can't put too many people in to defend the run because of our corners, who are suspect to be burnt frequently! Yeah, I think you are right about the corners... we have to ask, what is wosre, being passed on for 40 yards a few times or having someone run right up the gut 20+ times? So whats the answer? How do we inspire the kids to play to their ability and OUR expectation? He isn't correct in regards to play action pass. That is only when safeties are playing back on come in on the run...play action effects safeties if they aren't helping corners. You don't run this defense on 3rd and 8 this is for first down and 2 or 3rd and short. Play action will beat you regardless of your defensive scheme if your corners don't play good man coverage. Besides it allows your safety to pick up a tight end in a pass play and it free up your LB to watch the run, and Ruud will watch the RB or TE on his side. Blitzing will always hurt you if they have the right offensive call but I guarantee this is a better defense than we are running. BTW our corners and safeties get hurt b/c the QB has too much time. You have a hard time completing a 20+ yd pass with less than 3 seconds to release. It is a better defensive scheme also because passes 20+ yards are typically completely less than 20% of the time and if you get more pressure up front that # goes down. Also, the free safety knows his only responsibility is deep help so he WON"T bite on the play action. Now, playing high means when the ball is snapped you stand up too much. You need to fire off the ball lower to gain control of the line and get off blocks. You also need to do this to gain gap control. Think of it as a running back running straight up instead of lowering his shoulder pad. Not trying to be insulting in any way....but it sounds like you are or have been a coach @ sometime in your life, have you? Played QB at Pac-10 school and was a graduate assistant there, also was assistant OC for a D II school You should send Pedersen your resume, seriously!!
