  1. I dunno, I can see this is keeping you up at nite and I'm sorry for that. He prlly has to spend at least 1/2 his time in D.C and that ain't cheap, I assume he isn't sleeping in his office. Hillary makes more in 1 1 hr speech to Goldman Sachs than Bernie makes in a year, so why not go after Hillary. Yeah, I know, "socialist", you just can't get your mind around it, it scares ya. He paid $22k in interest last year. But that appears to be from a cash out loan on his home (crazy that we let people deduct the interest on essentially a secured credit card payment). His net worth is somewhere around $500,000. I don't like Hillary either. But more than anything there's something fundamentally wrong with a person paying less in absolute taxes than someone making almost 50% less than him. Meaning, a person who makes $125,000 pays about $26,000 in federal taxes unless they can reap the benefit of the home deductions, which is a tax break that is disproportionately enjoyed by the wealthy. Bernie and his wife paid about $28,000. This is a prime example of the have nots being forced to subsidize the behavior of the have's. Yet the socialists want to unwittingly expand that unfair and regressive treatment. http://www.taxformcalculator.com/tax/125000.html 500K is about 2 Hillary speeches worth. Man, it's really gotten under your skin. I feel for ya.
  2. He was 4th team with POB and behind a couple walk ons that saw reps much earlier on. How'd he look? Well, I guess if he's b/u to walk-ons, that pretty much tells the story. The feed cut right as he got in. I too drew the same conclusion, though based on who played before him. Did Ozigbo get some reps? Sounds like Newby and Wilbon stole the show.
  3. I dunno, I can see this is keeping you up at nite and I'm sorry for that. Why don't you send him a hand written letter and ask him to explain these matters to you? 4. Trump sets an excellent context for increasing race/religious wars in this country and beyond, since he's pissed off about everyone who is not white and mostly male. What little he has shown as foreign policy, other than the fact that he's generally ignorant, assures a fair amount of hawkish warmongering tendencies, and god forbid he has the nuke codes at his fingertips. He says he's gonna bring back jobs, i.e., manufacturing, but all those trade deals are well down the river and written/enforced by people far above his pay grade. He's a pathological liar, assumes no responsibilty for his bogus words or actions, blames evrybody else. White supremacist groups love him. Uh, well, it's all covered in my "Trumpino" thread.

  6. He's mainly going after the millionaire/billionaire class(es) so I refer you back to the 1st link I provided, it's all there... Again, I don't know why you keep bitching about Bernie: don't vote for him! You don't seem to grant the same thing to Trump supporters. It's funny when the candidate you support comes under fire finally because his policies would destroy all entrepreneurial spirit in America that you get butt-hurt about it. No idea what your Trump reference is all about-but Trump is an idiot and dangerous, so one can generalize to his supporters. But as to the entrepreneurial spirit and right wing trickle down b.s., god they've got us to this point, and doin' a darn good job transferring all the wealth in the country to the 1% and hemorrhaging money out of the country into offshore tax havens and the like. God bless the Mur'can entrepreneur! p.s., believe what you will re: Bernie, I'm fairly done arguing with business class apologists--who are the main constituents on this HBoard. The economy functions better from the ground up, when working people have $ in their pockets.
  7. The 46 was based on scoring system that awarded defensive plays. Huh?
  8. 46-41?! Wow, not exactly a defensive struggle, eh?
  9. I could see Tebow riffing on a combo of Trumpf and Cruz campaign jargon: "We don't WIN anymore, but Jesus will help us WIN again!" Woohooo......!
  10. A friend of mine from Colombia moved here about 12 years ago to join his dad, then he joined the US Army and ended up in Germany. Married a German woman and has lived there since. All he ever says is that Germany is far more civilized--i,e,, socially conscious--than the USA. I know other folks from Europe that say the same thing about various Euro countries.
  11. Well, what's also conveniently left out of the conversation, is why have college tuition rates gone up so much? Especially since the big "crash" of '08, Repub governors, in particular, as part of the whole "austerity" deal, have been cutting state budgets to state colleges big time--see Scott Walker, for e.g.--and therefore the schools have had to compensate by raising tuitions big time. And included has been a trend toward "corporatizing" colleges, so they become top heavy with high salaried business admin types, which has added to the inflation.
  12. That is something that gets forgotten many times in the discussion. Well, I share the concern of "why pay for rich kids", yada yada, so maybe there could be some prorated variation on the theme, in an ideal world. But, we're talking about public schools, for one--alotta rich kids don't go to public schools--and accding to Bernie's plan, Wall St. is paying for it(Tobin tax), not "us", so you don't have to lose any sleep over that. Wall St speculation is ~1 trillion smackers/day, so, even a small tax, say 0.5% per transaction, well, you do the math.....
  13. Sooo, if I get up and Kareoke Steve Miller Band's "Fly like an Eagle" am I covering them or tributing them? Which reminds me, a few years back I was at a Kareoke(I hate kareoke) nite and this youngish chick told me she had been practicing a Steve Miller tune in her bedroom for weeks just for that special nite and I was excited for her.....er, until she got up there and just ripped the tune to shreds, I mean tone deaf type stuff. Felt bad for her.
  14. I figure if TA can get us thru this season with, say, 9 wins and less than 10 INTs, emphasize read option for him and we can call it a success and move on to the next phase of pro style QB stardom... That being said, does TA show any signs of passing improvement or same ol same ol?
  15. Is this Armstrong we're talking about? Him and Fyfe. All of the offense basically. Just not well prepared. They have been practicing something for a month and many are returning in this system. You'd like to think they could execute some basic plays well. Couple first downs or so in an entire quarter of snaps. So much for our NC run this year, lol....
  16. Is this Armstrong we're talking about? Him and Fyfe. Well, what can ya say....
  17. Wilbon is a quicker, shiftier version of Ozigbo, and I like both guys. Any Adam Taylor sightings?
  18. Ok, well, I'm not able to view this game, so any updates on key plays made by, say, key or up and coming skill players would be greatly appreciated, ty
  19. Surprise surprise, TA goes deep. How about he tries a few screen passes, eh? Something he actually needs to work on.
