  1. Good look inside the Jags stay in Lincoln. This was strange: http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2015/09/34_hours_in_nebraska_inside_so.html#incart_river
  2. One other small thing I forgot to mention...Lolo's Flame Grilled outside the visitor entrance was really good. And the people working there were awesome. Is Lolo's a chain or do they just set up for game days?
  3. Yeah I have no problem with it pumping up the crowd before the play but it was blared almost up until the snap. For hurry up offenses it can be tough. Hope I'm not coming off as a complainer. It obviously didn't alter the outcome too much. Looks like the conference sets the music rules? http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/02/26/sec-stadiums-to-turn-up-volume-drown-out-fans-and-bands/
  4. Thank you for your suggestions and tips on Lincoln. We had a great time. The Haymarket area was outstanding and our hotel (Courtyard Marriott) was in the perfect spot. Lincoln was one of the cleanest cities I've ever seen. No graffiti. No litter. It was nice. Here's a summary of our trip Friday lunch at Lazlo's was great. Good food and fun service. Beer was very good. State capitol building was impressive. I was amazed that anyone could just walk right in with no security. And could just walk right in and visit the senator or governor. Volleyball match was awesome. The arena was one of the best I've been in. Couldn't believe the crowd. Only stayed for one set so we could head downtown and beat the crowd. Dinner at Misty's downtown was really good. Did O Street and Haymarket. Damn good time. Saturday farmer's market was pretty cool. Weather couldn't have been better We walked in to Barry's and they weren't open yet but they let us sit on the roof and drink a bloody mary. Husker fan bought us a shot which was a great way to start the day. Everyone at Barry's was friendly and fun Watched Auburn almost lose to Jax State at Embassy Suites Headed to stadium and went to tailgate lot under interstate. Awesome people and was offered a beer at every tailgate. We had a great time wandering around. Got in the stadium when it opened and took everything in. Awesome stadium and atmosphere was fantastic. Tons of hot women in attendance. Concession prices were ridiculously cheap. $4 for a souvenir cup and chair rental for $5 is a steal. Pizza slice was awesome. A few downsides at the game: - there were way too many vendors walking up and down the aisles. It seemed like every few minutes some kid was in front of me selling something. I sat on the end of the row so it probably bothered me more than most. - There was a rap song being played before the game and every other word was bleeped out. Don't understand why it was even played - Runza was pretty bad...sorry guys - Piped in music especially when we were on offense seemed a little poor sportsmanship. Your fans are loud enough no reason to blare music to disrupt the offense I thought we'd score more. I predicted 40-20. Really thought we'd give you guys a better game but you were obviously on a mission and out manned us across the board. You just can't drop that many passes/snaps and turn the ball over and expect to compete. Good luck the rest of the way and I hope to visit Nebraska again! You guys are awfully lucky to live or go to school where you do
  5. This sounds about right. I'm thinking 38-20 Huskers to the disappointment of Huskers44 and NUance . Go Jags!

  8. Sorry for the double post. Is the volleyball arena the same as basketball? How many fans usually come to volleyball matches?
  9. Just bought two tickets off Stub Hub. We're in section A 11 row 5 so should be good seats. If you see two guys in South Alabama gear, come say hello and we'll talk some football before and after the match. We're looking forward to the trip
  10. Hey guys, me and a buddy are flying in for the Nebraska - South Alabama football game this weekend. I've been to a handful of volleyball matches but none that rival Nebraska matches. From the looks of it you guys pack out the games. I know this is probably a long shot, but does anyone have 2 floor or close to floor seats for Friday nights game against UC Davis? If so, please send me a message. We get in late Thursday but can meet you anywhere around downtown or campus Friday. We'll be sightseeing then plan on heading to the arena. Thank you and we're looking forward to our visit!
  11. Which Lincoln brewery do you guys recommend for Friday? Any of them offer live music or a good atmosphere? Thanks
  12. Thanks for the replies guys! I appreciate it
  13. We're in section 21 row 9 seats 25 and 26. I know not the best seats but being 9 rows up seems pretty good. It's our seat numbers I'm worries about. In section 21, do you know if the seat numbers go from high to low or low to high from the aisle to the wall? Thanks for your time and we're looking forward to heading up there in a few weeks

  15. Where would you eat on a Friday night that's got good atmosphere, cold beer and hot women? And preferably walking distance from the Courtyard? Thanks Well, look here ColoradoHusker...our South Bama friend would like to see some beave...and not be sitting with old people and young kids! I would hit the Rail Yard on Friday night for food. They have Gate 25 and a Mellow Mushroom and Wings and Rings (I think) much more sports, younger crowd, you can drink outside in the huge courtyard. https://www.facebook.com/TheRailyardLincoln Haha thanks guys. All ideas are appreciated. Definitely not a shortage of things to do/see. Beave, history, steak, old people, college football it's all good!

  17. Thanks again for your replies. I have a few more questions for you guys: What time does the band play and cheerleaders come to Misty's Friday night? Where is the main tailgating area around the stadium? What's the open container law in Lincoln during game weekends? Is the Champions Club open only to alums? It looks like a cool place to hang out before the game Where do the students tailgate? Do the fraternities host parties before the games? At Alabama the fraternity houses will have live music, bar and food before the games. Greek scene is huge at Bama Being the Big Ten Network's Prime Time game, will the BTN have a "Game day" type set up on campus? Do any Lincoln news stations have any "Game day" type sets on campus? We also switched our reservation to the Marriott Courtyard downtown to be closer to the stadium, bars, campus. etc. It looks like a great place to stay on game weekends.
  18. Crotch shot for the South Alabama game... Thanks a lot Husker Tickets
  19. Great stuff guys! Sounds like we'll have dinner at Misty's then head downtown.
  20. Do you guys suggest eating at Misty's Friday night before the game? I hear it's a fun Nebraska tradition. If so, which Misty's is better? Do I need to make reservations? Thanks for you help!
  21. Thanks for the replies. Barry's roof top looks like a good spot to hangout
  22. Can anyone suggest some good Friday afternoon downtown bars? Fun atmosphere, visitor friendly, happy hour... I'm trying to find a place where a large group of South Alabama fans can hang out Friday afternoon and socialize with other Husker fans. Would like walking distance from Cornhusker Marriott Any help would be appreciated
  23. Great news. We're looking forward to a full day of tailgating. And seeing Memorial at night should be special. Go Jags!
