  1. Instant success is not just a requirement in today's game, it's a measurable. See Tom Herman. Among, several other examples just from the past couple years.
  2. The staff got him to commit and if he ends up de-committing, that wouldn't be a staff problem to you? Interesting.
  3. I think the class is actually pretty decent. It's just surprising that the momentum just died.why is that surprising. As always, this staff oversells and under delivers. I bought in that last couple of weeks as well. As always? This is their first full recruiting class, and we knew going in it would be a smaller class. Great post... This year is the small class? Have you seen the numbers for next season? This was supposed to be a class that sets the staff up for success. They seem to have found a good QB and great OL recrutis, but failed miserably in finding DL recruits despite several quality recruits nearby. I personally think the lack of talent at DE cost Nebraska games this season. The inability to pressure the QB is why we gave up so many game ending drives last year. Couldn't get pressure when it counted. At this point, I say switch to a 3-4 and let the LBs loose. No point in trying to pass rush when you don't have the personnel.
  4. I like how all of our momentum crashed and burned, per usual. Just in different ways from the past regimes.

Oh, I'm not just talking about recruiting. Thank you!
  6. Because he turned Alonzo Moore and Brandon Reilly in to quality players. Their potential was maxed. I wouldn't call them quality. Oh dear lord, get off your high horse. Yeah, it sucks we lost out on a highly touted WR recruit, but if you're ignorantly going to spew this crap and not realize the progress the WRs on the team made this year - then there is no hope. They were one of the few bright spots on the team this year and a lot of that is due to Williams. He's a hell of a coach and respected at the college and pro ranks. If you're so butt hurt that an 17/18 year old kid decided go elsewhere, it might be best to log off and reevaluate your priorities. Don't worry about my priorities. You appear to be way more butt hurt about my post than I am about missing out on a recruit. I'm not butt hurt, and I'm willing to bet you will say you are not butt hurt. I understand that you think Williams is a bright spot, and you claim he is well respected within the ranks. But he failed at bringing in the 4 star. And the winners bring in the 4 star in the modern game.

  8. What did Williams get a raise for? Failing to close?
  9. For every miracle (botched reference decision) win, there will be 7-9 that go the opposite direction. Yeah...I really want that.
  10. Stop. I want a different coaching staff as much as anyone, but you never root for your team to lose. Hand in your fan card. Nope. I don't have a fan card because it's something you made up.i want what's best for the program
  11. Everyone should be rooting to lose out this season if they love the program
  12. Lol at espn trying to tell us to be ok with riley. Listen to me...every loss just gets us closer to getting out of this nightmare
  13. Interception and one more MSU td would be great for this program. Best thing that could happen
  14. I'm happy for Cross, but he's going to single handedly set back the program 3 to 5 years
