  1. Can anyone tell how good or bad Colorado will be? They really need an offensive line or Shadar will have another broken bone in his back. It's hard to run or throw when you're looking at the sky threw 300 pound defensive linemen. Offensive lines typically take time to become great offensive lines. With the roster turnover, it's hard to believe they can become great quickly.
  2. One of the great things about coming to Autzen in the fall is that some of the best weather on the coast is in the fall. Of course flyfishing the McKenzie in October is great also. It's just a beautiful time of year in Eugene.
  3. As far as weather goes, it will probably be a bit like going to WSU in Nov. Pullman can get very cold and windy in Nov. Use to love seeing the LA schools go up there with a couple feet of snow on the sidelines. Plus, Pullman was one of those places that is just difficult to get to.
  4. I actually have been to one game in Lincoln, back in 1974 I watched my Ducks get destroyed 61-7. I was born in Nebraska and decided to make a trip to see family and take in the Duck game while back there. Oregon was a basketball and track school in those days, certainly some of the darkest days for Oregon football were the 70s. I think you guys come to Autzen in 2026. I'd recommend spending a few extra days if you haven't been here before. All depends on what you enjoy, the Oregon coast is very different from Calif and well worth a visit. If you're a golfer, check out Bandon Dunes, if you enjoy a nice Pinot Noir, you'll love a visit to Oregon wine country. And yes, the mountains and rivers are stunning. Also, check out the University of Oregon athletic facilities, Hayward Field is stunning and by far the best track and field facility in the USA. I do believe the new indoor football facility will be finished by 2026 as well.
  5. Good point on how players are listed, it didn't really look like apples and apples. I hear a lot about the Big 10 grind, we'll just have to wait and see. FYI: Being born in Nebraska, I was a bit of a husker fan as a kid. Lived in Wheeler county till I was 8.. not much up there other than farm land and sand hills.
  6. FYI: As to the 275# DL men, a quick look at the Nebraska roster lists 13 DLs at 275 or less. Oregon roster lists no one under 280#. In my opinion, weight isn't everything, they have to be athletic as well, so actually I discount the weight comment above quite a bit.
  7. LOL someone gets it. If USC was able to vote on keeping Oregon out of the B1G they would have done it in a minute. They are tired of losing to the Ducks and tired of losing recruits to the Ducks.
  8. In my opinion the Huskers should start the season either 6-1 or 7-0. Plus a later win against UCLA gives you a 7-8 win season if you don't win a tough game. If you win 2 out of 3 vs Wisc, Iowa and USC, you've got a 9-10 win season. I don't think you beat the Buckeyes.
  9. Let's just give the Huskers credit for not folding the tent at half time. Whether that credit goes to the coaches, players or both, they still deserve credit for gutting up and competing to the end.
  10. Good Luck the rest of the year. I don't think either fan base was pleased with the out come of this game. You have great fans......
  11. Yea, maybe..... My apology. Still I have to say haven't seen much "red" in town to indicate the numbers Nebraska fans are talking about. Perhaps they all arrive tomorrow.
  12. Let's see.... Hum??? ND is nice easy short drive from Lincoln. Eugene is about three times further. Let's see.... Hum ND has a lot more seats to sell. I don't know how many people you took to ND, but let's say you got 20000 into ND and that's around 20%. Given that Eugene is three times further and lets say that distance reduces the number of fans by two thirds. Twenty percent reduced by two thirds is around 7% given Autzen's small size 7% of 54000 is just under 4000. I've suggested that perhaps if Neb fans are creative especially given Oregon coming off a bad season and a coaching change that perhaps Neb would get maybe 7000 into Autzen. Anyway all I'm saying is I'll be very surprised if Nebraska gets anything close 20000 in Autzen. And NO Fresno State isn't comparable to the Univ of Oregon.
  13. LOL................. Nothing more needs to be said.
  14. I live in Eugene, and I've been out and about town a bit today.... Haven't seen a red shirt yet.
