Your right top 5 is a stretch but top 10-15 for sure, that would give us 6 with 4 being 3 star, right now the #10 class has 5 with 3 being 3 star and 1 four star I do think we have a couple of players that the services have rated lower then they should be. I'm with you in this thought. I'd say more like 15-20 ... but I have not studied the issue so just my impression.

Top 5 OL class? No, not really. No offense intended but we missed out on a lot of prospects rated higher. That doesn't mean these kids can't be better. But if you are saying Top 5 based off of rating services ... this is not Top 5 or anywhere close ... as I understand it.

We need him in a bad way.

Was hopeful that the "good news" for today's big commit was Mr. Clark. Oh well, yep, we want him more then anyone else and have proved it. I feel good about what we have done in our recruitment of him.

My opinion ... by the staff .... no ... just follow the meltdown on any given Saturday during a game ... listen to what a majority of this board says about him ... when I think of being "treated poorly" ... I think about what I hear from many Husker fans on this board during a game or the Monday after a game when they look for the excuse as to why we lost. Just defining what "treated poorly" would mean to me and where I am coming from. I realize fans are fans ... but it's why I would be surprised to see his brother want to play here.

I'm actually with Minnesota Husker ... my impression of folks on this board about TM has been on the negative side. I would be surprised as well that his brother would want to come here and put up with all the crap. I've been more then disappointed in the turnover/decision making of TM over the past three years ... but I have and would never say alot of the crap that has been said about him and his play ... so when I think of what he has gone through ... and if I was his brother ... I would think twice about coming to Nebraska. This has nothing to do with wanting Martinez ... it's just the feeling that has been given off by Husker fans on this board. Not debating any point ... just identifying with Minnesota Husker ... I sensed the same thing and thought about posting the same thing. You can see all my previous coments on this thread ... overall I'd be shocked to see him hear ... but glad for sure.

If you click on the "Today" by the last post it takes directly to the last post. You are clicking on the link to a particular post. When you do that it takes you to the first post. So, the problem you are having is actually created by the way you are clicking. Correct that and the problem will go away. The "Today" is on the far right under the last poster who posted. Hope that helps and it makes sense. Welcome to the board.

It's gonna be interesting to see what the staff does. Last year we had Mike Shoff, a Nebraska kid playing Division D football, a very good wrestler who I think won state in his division ... an OL ... we passed on him. Here we are again in need of bodies ... but pass on some kids that I'm like, "If we need bodies ... why are we passing on this kid?" OL and DT at have truly puzzled me. It's not really a complaint ... just something I don't understand. Back to Fi :bigredn: i

I share the same view ... and am surprised how many folks want this kid. No opinion here toward the kid ... just my impression that overall we would never want another Martinez. Hope we can extend a bit more grace with the next one.

I was looking at the OL offers for 2014 along with this thread. It looks like we have around 9 offers for OL out for 2014. along 2-3 of these kids are already committed to schools. Several are on this list compiled but are only on our OL"radar". Truly puzzled that we don't have more offers. If we are gonna lock down 5 quality OL we have to be on the front end of offering and building those initial relationships. I'd like to be near 15 offers already on the OL.Offers The numbers at present seem like we might land one 4* kind of guy. Hope the staff excels in this needed area very soon.

UCLA not in the mix yet but I'd hope we could be in this dog fight.

Made me LOL! Geez, compared to what we have and the state of our OL ... this would be like winning the lottery to me. :-)

I am bringing this kid in ... Putting an on his helmet and let him play. The state of the OL has to be fixed. If he loses the job then that is his fault. It is there for the taking.

2014 must be the year of OL at ! Lock and load! Bring in this talent and let 'em play.

We only need 7 OL commits. :-) We shall see.
