  1. I like to have Njoku. He gives us another big body. I, too, will be a little disappointed if we loss him. But we have big bodies at TE, and let’s see what Katerian Legrone can do at 6’3, and over 220 as a hybrid WR. Plus Hickman could be used as a hybrid WR in goaline situations. Providing that Hickman and Legrone are ready to play, we have those kind of receivers. While it be nice to add another — and an excellent one Njoku may develop into — I don’t see this as nearly a blow as it would be if we lost Wandale, who could become our biggest game breaking receiver since Fryer and Rodgers.
  2. Well, you know how that gets exaggerated. They had Pola-Gates at 6’2.
  3. I hope not. Apparently Cager has had his share of drops — not very good hands.
  4. We get Njoku, Jordon and Mao, that would be a strong finish. Word apparently is out that the fourth spot will be saved for a transfer. I just hope we don’t lose Njoku, and Frost brings in instead Lawrence Cager as a transfer from Miami. That dude is supposed to have bad hands — drops a lot of passes.
  5. Excellent!!! Thank you. I see that 247 has Nebraska now at 19.
  6. Appears to be a great player. Hope we get him and Dylan.
  7. Do most experts think that KU is our biggest competitor to sign him?
  8. It would be a nice problem if more prospects want to commit than they have spots that are available. Then the coaches can pick and chose. Of course you run the risk of one signing with another school, but that is how recruiting happens sometimes.
  9. Yes I did follow recruiting those years. If you disagree with me, fine. Go ahead and state the facts I am missing if you think I am wrong. I remember, especially in the ‘80s and the ‘90s, missing on some of those big recruits that went down to the wire and when it was between us and one other college — near misses. But Dr Tom still has some excellent classes regardless. In the ‘70s, I do remember the talent level with Osborne’s teams wasn’t quite as good, as that especially showed against Oklahoma. We started recruiting better in the ‘80s, and we won five out of 10 against OU. And then Dr Tom turned it up a notch on recruiting in the 90s, which produced Osborne’s most dominant teams on both sides of the ball.
  10. Whoever is confused with my reply, I get that. Sorry. I am just pointing out there are no guarantees which way it will go — there are four ways this could go. I just feel like two out of three is the most likely — my opinion of course. Heck, Mao might surprise everyone and go to USC, and we go zero out of three. But Mao seems likely N and we get one of the other two. Yes, of course I want all three.
  11. If we get two out of those first three — Mao highly likely — that would be a great success. So far with Frost, verses Osborne, Scott seems to finish stronger, where as Dr Tom seemed to come up a little short at the end, even with some of his better classes. But it’s possible we go one and three this time around, but I feel like two out of three, with the possibly we get all of them. Stay tune.
  12. Parker and Njoku are their main targets. This kid, not sure in what order, especially if Parker commits.
  13. Everyone has different tastes, like in food, movies, college football choice, etc.
  14. We also have Katerian Legrone. He is not quite as tall as Njoku, but I seen his highlight video and he runs pretty fast for a large guy. Perhaps Frost would also consider putting him at LB? He hits pretty hard.
  15. Herm must not be that good of a recruiter. I wonder why. He seems to have an upbeat personality.
  16. That could be. I was just trying to ease the pain in case we didn’t get him. We also have Katerian Legrone. Not quite as tall but also could be used for that role. Edit: Saw his game video. Legrone looks fast enough to be a deep threat and has some elusiveness. Also has the size and hard-hitting ability to be a LB.
  17. Frost must be a thorn to Herm and ASU fans. Hey, I love it!
  18. Frost and company will not wait around for him to decide. They will take the best that is available. If Houston would commit, Njoku may be out. Plus Chris Hickman could play the big-bodied receiver role as a hybrid WR/TE.
  19. OL I assume. If he played the DL, a 5 9 RB would run under him.
  20. I wonder if he and Houston have made it to Lincoln with the icy conditions outside.
  21. My thought is if we get Houston instead of Njoku, Chris Hickman could fill the big-body role as a hybrid WR/TE. That perhaps would give him playing time next year with the TE position already well stacked.
  22. We are still in this, according to an article written by Greg Smith. Parker said his visit to Nebraska went real well. He said the vibes he gets from the coaches will determine where he will go.
  23. Did he play DB, too? I was thinking we didn’t have the need for another RB.
  24. OSU may had been a threat if they offered earlier. He had expressed interest in them, but perhaps also Urban retiring cooled him on them.
