  1. I'm interested. How does pragmatism lead you toward far left candidates?
  2. - didn't excuse behavior, just pointing out observations and facts that I see as apparent - Clinton would undoubtedly have been horrendous. I stand by that -I didn't say Jared & Ivanka deserve those positions Also not a conservative. I said fiscally conservative. Socially I'd be very liberal - not modern liberal leftist, but the classic meaning of the word liberal. I'm searching for someone - anyone - to vote for to get Trump out. The problem is we've got a 2 party system that perpetuates horrible options. The only Dems I'd even consider voting for would be Tulsi or (this one would be a major stretch) Yang
  3. I skimmed them. The optics are not good. But it takes more than optics to prove actual wrongdoing...
  4. Not sure how far back... I'm relatively new here
  5. Do you have evidence of this, or is it an assumption since they're in those roles?
  6. Depends what you mean by credentials. If you'd rather have a lifelong politician or bureaucrat in charge of these positions, we're VERY far apart
  7. I know you're not... I'm similar to you that i am fiscally conservative but don't like the GOP. Im just not quite as appalled by Trump as you are Not you, Zrod said that
  8. To begin with a disclaimer, I don't like it either but here's my question: What other president has had children or in-laws with the competence (arguable i know) to be able to handle a position like that? Is that better or worse than having your cabinet picked by Citi Bank? Similar question: what other president has owned his own resort? Again, not sure if I like it, but if he were to offer it up at no expense to the taxpayer, would you be against it?
  9. Actually it was in response to the idea that the Dem party is "on the right side of history" (which is laughable to say the least). The point being, a Clinton white house would have been exponentially worse than we have currently. At best, we'd likely be in a recession right now. At worst (more likely) not only would we be in recession, she likely would have taken us to war with Russia, and maybe North Korea as well, and the level of corruption would have been 10x what you think it is now, but you'd hear less about it because she'd keep it under wraps, and she's got the media in her hip pocket. So in summary, no, Dems are not on the right side of history... both parties lose in that regard
  10. Who said i accept it? And to be honest, I'm not sure how corrupt he actually is, especially in comparison to the last couple presidents (I could be persuaded). The fact that he's brash and has zero tact makes it "feel" that way, but i haven't actually seen much credible evidence. My biggest beef with Trump is that he campaigned to shrink the scope of the federal government (which is the primary reason most people voted for him), but the government has just gotten larger, and so has the debt, which is going to absolutely screw all of us...
  11. Yikes... we're gonna have to agree to disagree on Hillary I guess...
  12. Neither party is on the right side of history. Do you remember what happened when Republicans (or anyone) criticized Obama? They were attacked and slandered as racists. Nothing will change in the American government until power is stripped from the federal government and politicians are held accountable. Nothing will change if we keep voting in the scum bags that fill both parties.
  13. Does the media only report on things he tweets?
  14. Let me ask this: do you think that a White House run by Hillary Rodham Clinton would be more corrupt, less corrupt, or about the same?
  15. It's no different than what's been happening for decades
  16. I'm glad. I've been scanning this forum since i joined and just recently got to 250 posts so I'm not 100% sure where everyone stands, but i always have to laugh when i see people in this forum call the GOP evil and anoint the Dems as a bunch of do-gooders. GUYS (AND GALS), THEY'RE BOTH HORRIBLE! STOP VOTING FOR THEM!
  17. I'm not saying it's not impeachable. I'm saying if we're going to impeach Trump, we should also indict every other politician or bureaucrat who's corrupt.
  18. https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2019/sep/25/barack-obama-king-quid-pro-quo/ https://www.independent.co.uk/voices/trump-impeachment-obama-whistleblower-ukraine-hot-mic-gaffe-russia-a9121711.html Politics, big government, and corruption go hand in hand...
  19. I think you missed the point... these are things that Obama did that he was hardly criticized for by MSM, and many of them were defended by MSM and called conspiracy theories (they're not)
  20. Not what I said but ok... i actually think Trump wants the media to obsess over his tweets. It brings attention to himself and shows his supporters that the media is their enemy which makes their support for him stronger.
  21. Weaponizing the IRS Bombing the middle east Starting unconstitutional wars Literally the same thing they're trying to impeach Trump for - quid pro quo Children in cages - the infamous pic they used to slander Trump was from when Obama was in office Running guns to Mexican drug lords Need more?
  22. LOL. Every president in my lifetime has been a piece of s#!t person. If you would like to rank hierarchies of s#!t, we can discuss that i suppose
