I didn't watch much of USC the past couple years, but how was Carol able to get both of them touches, and i am talking about consistent touches....I assume most of that was due to them blowing teams out the past couple years and spreading the wealth, but were they on the field at the same time much? Be nice if NU could get many touches with all the great running backs they have stocked now.

In my personal opinion, i think Nebraska will be a better "team" next year, but wouldn't surprise me if we finished with a similar record as this year, being off by one or two with the extra game plus a possible Big 12 Championship game.

Suppose there isn't a way of viewing the highlights of the recruits for free is there??? From Kansas City here and hear they are playing highlights on NETV in Nebraska.

Nebraska's recruiting ranking last year was 5th by rivals and 20th this year correct? Well, the average star last year was 3.12, while this year is 3.27. So maybe we didn't get the amount of players, but as a whole, this class might be stronger. Something to ponder on...

I'll bet he really gives a crap about academics. That is def. political talk there. You don't get jucos if your interested in getting smart kids because 90% of them aren't to sharp. ONce we get all of callahan's recruits I don't think our academic all americans will be near as high. Of course we do have wonderful tutors... How come team GPA's have risen in the past two years? I think your misinterpreting the quote, he uses academics to recruit players, that's the first thing he and a recruit talk about. I'd be interested in seeing how callahan's scholarship recruits have did in the classroom? Seems like half of them have a heck of a time even making out of high school or junior college let alone academic all american. New to the board, but i am guessing this is one of the few who after 2 years, can't get over it?

Guess one thing i have to keep in mind, at least for my own understanding, is NU is going after all high profile players now, and the chances for heartbreak is higher. That being said, if NU has another good year, record and bowl wise, that will give next years possible recruits more of an assurance that we are "back"....This class is very good, not great and most all needs were met. One thing i noticed, was the size of the recruits. Was there any under 6 feet? Another thing i noticed, is that i didn't get the impression we just "settled" on a kid, just "because"...I gave this class a B.

Why can't they just be honest and come out and say that they would just rather play at LSU or NU or Florida State just because they would rather play there instead of making up a bunch of bullsh#t....

Yah..looking at other boards (if that is allowed when a member of HuskerBoard... )....This situation sounds like it could blow up....If certain so called rumors are true, Washington could have been a naughtyyyyyy university according to the NCAA...
