  1. I think the decision will have to be made privately prior to the Iowa game and announced shortly after. It’s vital for the new regime to be in place to keep current players on the roster-attack the portal and finalize recruiting. As for your list of coaches I like a few of them for sure. I have a few I would add too, but who even knows who Trev even is speaking with lol.
  2. oh ya total choke artist, give me a break. The guy has little to no talent on that team and the one talent he had at QB was injured a couple games ago. The fact these game are close is kudos to him. He isn’t coaching in Lincoln but this has nothing to do with expectations. That injury was a death blow.
  3. It sucks to say that out loud right!? This is a great question. I think first year anything goes but the baseline for year two would be 6-6 and above.
  4. Not sure if you answered but my guess is Dave Doeren as he coached at Kansas and Wisconsin
  5. I agree and I am sure that eliminates Lane as well, regardless of my feelings on him. I am under the assumption Trev wants a clean press conference when the candidate is announced with no negative energy simmering in the background of the new HC. I think that's part of Trev's comment about "Not winning the press conference"
  6. Just strictly my own opinion here. I think there are some boosters that delayed the firing of Frost and instead of him being canned after last season Trev pushed the envelope to this season and Frost failed again and the boosters caved. I believe that Trev came in to be AD and will not be a puppet moving forward. I don't think he would take the job to be someone's puppet, he never has been and he never will be. If the uneducated fan base calling for Joseph to be named the coach "Right" now decides to give up tickets then they are part of the problem and they can go away. The team and the true fans will be better off without them. I see some of the comments on Facebook and Twitter and my head starts spinning. I am rooting like hell for Mickey, and I appreciate everything he is doing, but where did common sense go? I may not agree with some peoples ideas for head coach, but at the end of the day I will support anyone who is named the HC even though I like to have fun with who I think fits best.
  7. And our local media is pretty ferocious when times get tough around the program if you have warts. Bo did himself no favors, but if you watch his interview on Bussin' with the Boys he explains how they chew you up and spit you out.
  8. I know he isn't leaving the state of Ohio, but man talk about someone who checks Trev's boxes. #Bringthepipelineback:
  9. This is extremely inaccurate about O'Brien and Aranda. You are just pushing some agenda. They are widely considered big names Nationally. Google it, watch interviews, listen to coaches in the profession. If you want to play the fan base game with O'Brien go to the LSU message boards who would rather have Aranda than Brian Kelly. Pick your poison.
  10. I am not clamoring for BOB, but he is a good coach. I think they should be discussing their defense instead of their offense. Their offense has looked just fine this season, but that defense has not.
  11. I definitely wish him and the team nothing but success. 6-6 at this point would be incredible given how bad the oline and defense are heading into the upcoming schedule.
  12. I mean Paul Johnson tried something similar at G-Tech in the P5, but the results just didn't match.
  13. I have zero problem with Aranda either. Brings a level of toughness Trev talks about and does check most of the boxes. I really like Jeff Grimes his OC as well. Mickey and Busch would hopefully stay on as well. Would he come here? Does Trev want him? That’s the question.
  14. He must be looking for houses with Luke Fickell
  15. Same. It seems like he was pleading with his fan base the first half of the season to show up to games. From Mississippi's Clarion ledger: Kiffin will make $7.25 million in 2022 and receive a $100,000 raise every year through the contract's expiration in 2025. Mississippi law prohibits a public employee from signing a contract longer than four years. A clear majority of Kiffin's contract is not paid by the university. Per Kiffin's Ole Miss contract, he only earns $290,000 each year from the university. In 2022: Head coach Lane Kiffin: $7,250,000 Co-defensive coordinator and S coach Chris Partridge: $1,200,000 Co-offensive coordinator and QBs coach Charlie Weis, Jr.: $800,000 Assistant head coach and WRs coach Derrick Nix: $500,000 Defensive line coach Randall Joyner: $450,000 Running backs coach Marquel Blackwell: $400,000 Tight ends coach and passing game coordinator John David Baker: $375,000 Strength coach Nick Savage: $375,000 Offensive line coach Jake Thornton: $300,000 In 2023: Head coach Lane Kiffin: $7,350,000 Co-defensive coordinator and S coach Chris Partridge: $1,300,000 Co-offensive coordinator and QBs coach Charlie Weis, Jr.: $825,000 Assistant head coach and WRs coach Derrick Nix: $525,000 Defensive line coach Randall Joyner: N/A Running backs coach Marquel Blackwell: $425,000 Tight ends coach and passing game coordinator John David Baker: N/A Strength coach Nick Savage: $500,000 Offensive line coach Jake Thornton: $325,000
  16. None of us know who the guy is, so just go ahead and put it out in the universe and don't apologize for it
  17. I am not rooting for Campbell to get the nod at HC down in Lincoln, but the hate on this board has gone completely overboard. Campbell has taken a turd and shined it up as nice as you can at Iowa State. He has his knocks sure, but what he does is produce some NFL talent and his lines are always tough. If he had the monetary support of a University like Nebraska I think he would thrive tbh. My knocks and why I don't have Campbell in my top five (still disappointed Trev hasn't confided in me for what I think) are the fact he doesn't have a full time special teams coach and there is a good chance he doesn't bring Mickey with him. I know there is a chance of the ladder with all the candidates with the exception of Aranda as I am assuming he would keep Mickey and Busch to be major parts of his new staff. Calling Campbell trash, however is inaccurate to say the least.
  18. I think Georgia Tech should be hot and heavy after him. He would be a great fit there.
  19. While this may end up being accurate, my point being some people don't want him here because of his personality. That's insane to me. That's why I commented on your point about Deion. If Lane Kiffin or Deion wanted to coach here they are no brainers.
  20. Yup. Throw Lane Kiffin in that light as well. He was one of the youngest head coaches ever and paid his dues. People still judge him from the past and some immature behavior, when he has clearly turned the corner from his past mistakes. His twitter game is fire and he has a rushing attack that is running as effectively as a service academy school this season.
  21. Cool to see your ideas laid out in that format. Thanks for sharing.
