I will stick to this...Mark Banker was quietly putting together something that resembled a defense. I have no idea why anyone thought the defense was an issue after that season.

The fact is, Mickey tried to go to war today, and a major portion of the roster said "nah, we're good." That's not good. I'm not blaming Mickey. it's just not good any way you look at it. It's not a good look for Mickey and not a good look for the players. We need to move on from this group and honestly, I don't think we want to keep much of it if any at all.

As their coach, I'd show a significant portion of the roster how to apply properly for a transfer through the portal. I'd have session on how to transfer weekly and strongly encourage attendance.

Well they don't, but in my experience coaching in general, when you are losing bad even mentally sound players who are reliable quit when it's this bad of a deficit. It's just that they're finally quitting on the teammates who quit before the game started.

Meanwhile Northwestern can't handle 0-2 So. Illinois. We are an extremely bad football program, ladies and gentlemen. We'll be lucky to see 5 wins in a season consistently going forward. And that's a stretch. And we ain't beating Indiana or Rutgers, sorry to just cut to the chase. We might not see a win again this season no matter who is coaching this group.

I agree - no talent at all on this roster. Somehow Frost remained a decent salesman through year 5. There is just no talent anywhere.

Think of how embarrassing it would be for our opponent if we beat wither Indian or Rutgers. Now think of how unrealistic that actually is. All an AD would need to know if he wants to fix this. Use the money we have.
