We could be competing with OU for a new coach by the end of this year.

While the first three games should have been indicators, I thought the players would play off of emotion and at least make the game interesting. I guess that was not a wise assumption.

It's certainly not an encouraging sign that Nebraska couldn't even be competitive with this OU team at home. Doesn't give much hope that they can win another game this year.

They still beat us by 35, so I’m not sure we can say much. If they’re bad, what does that make us?

They have played bad teams so far. If they look good against Cincinnati, then I'll be worried.

Indiana is very lucky to be undefeated. I'm not saying it's a win, but I think it's our best chance to get a win in the next few games.

Essentially what I’m trying to say is that we lost to a good team, it shouldn’t have been by that much, there are clear issues with the team that are probably not fixable, and the rest of the schedule is weak for the most part. We may have already played our toughest opponent and there are a few winnable games if they can clean up on some issues. The number of wins will depend on what problems can be fixed, if it all.

It will be hard to fix the strength and conditioning problems during the season, though. The team looked tired midway through the first quarter. Not a good sign.

Hopefully they can pull out the win and build on it. The team needs confidence more than anything right now.

Maybe with Busch being DC there can be minor improvements each week. I do not think NU will have to play great to beat Indiana.

I can't believe people actually think Indiana and Iowa are good teams. We've played a tougher schedule than either of them. Let's see how they would do against OU.

In context of this year, it’s pretty sad it would be considered an upset if we beat them. They have no offense, but we have managed to still be worse.

Is it not true that the rest of the schedule is incredibly weak? He shouldn’t get props for beating Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, and Rutgers. We should have higher standards.

Does it not concern you that the second OU punched back, the team folded. OU is a good team, but there is no excuse to lose that bad, especially at home.

The minute OU punched back, the team folded. There was no fight at all. That was what was most concerning to me. The team would show fight when Frost was the coach.

All week people on this board were saying that Mickey would make the team play emotional and they would beat OU. That obviously did not come close to happening. We looked worse than we did the week before.

At least Frost played teams close. That was embarrassing the way we lost. It was 49-7 early in the third quarter. About as bad as it gets.

One reason why Mickey should not be the coach past this season is because of how weak the rest of the schedule is. That and he got ran out of the stadium against OU. I sure wasn’t expecting a win because of the clear talent disparity, but that was a brutal beat down on our own turf. Bad look for Mickey when the game was 23-16 last year.

I can understand what you’re saying, but the rest of our schedule is weak. I just see the potential for a few more wins. Doesn’t mean it will happen. I don’t play in the games.

There has been a lot of fight from the players in these first few games. That is something that can be built upon. They should use the first two drives against OU as momentum for the rest of the games. If they have that kind of energy like they did on those first two drives, they can definitely win a few more games.The season’s not over yet.

At some point, the ball has to bounce our way in the close games. The Big Ten West is the worst it has been in a while, so there is hope for me.

So the kicker missing the tying field goal against Georgia Southern and Frost going for the onside kick against Northwestern aren’t unlucky breaks?

Is it not true that some unlucky breaks are the reason we’re not 3-1?

OU is way more talented than us. I don’t think that will be the case with most of the teams left on the schedule. We’ve been in a lot of one-score games outside of the OU game.
