Sooo, sounds like a bomb is going off in Iowa City. Apparently a lot of players involved in some illegal betting stuff. So far just some baseball players being held out due to violations, but it sounds like there's a lot of football players involved, too.

They probably bet the under on themselves every game...

Jerod was in Lincoln Saturday watching the linebackers/D ends practice. Says he will declare a top 5 very soon and wants to commit before his season starts. He said his brother has Nebraska ranked high but also that it's possible they could choose different schools.

This quote made it seem to me like Jacob was higher on N than Jerod.

  3. There were bound to be mistakes and a few unconventional penalties or sloppy plays. I do think that the fumbles were unnecessary and must be a focal point for this team moving forward. Other than that, I just can't judge a team playing itself. Maybe our defense is actually elite, our backups actually awful, or our red zone offense somewhat efficient.

Minnesota looked good in what I saw of their spring game.  With half their staff leaving and losing a bunch of key players, I thought they might be in shambles and they just aren't. They seem to have replaced Ibrahim with a really solid young running back.  Their kicker is amazing.  They seem to be the same tough, physical team.  I think Vegas is right and for the third straight head coach we will start their tenure off with a loss.

On the bright side I was shocked at how bad Wisconsin looked.

Minny was kicking indoors though, so take that with a grain of salt.
