I hope somebody archives this thread and brings in back in 5 years when sanders has moved on to get his limelight somewhere else. All the star players go away and Colorado is right back where they were last year. Thule has proven himself a program builder. Nebraska has the support he needs to do it but we have been one of the worst teams in football for well over 10 years. It is going to take 3 or 4 to dig out. Thule will learn from his sims disaster and go another way next year. He will right the ship and get us back to being competitive. But make no mistake if you think anyone can get Nebraska back to 80s-90s dominance you are crazy. 7-10 wins a year is a realistic goal

Why is it Nebraska either can’t spot talent or talent won’t come here? I remember watching Wyoming when we played Josh Allen and questioning how the hell Wyoming can get a qb like that and we can’t. I watch college teams all day long not just high lights and I see small teams or irrelevant teams with qbs that can scramble when needed and throw the ball well. Why can’t we have a stable of those Guys. Don’t we have the facilities kids would love? Fan support? Money? I just don’t get it.

That was crap. I had no doubt we would lose. But I was incorrect in how well our defense played against Colorado’s talented mercenaries. The game was not a blowout if we had a qb that doesn’t give the ball away. 4 forced turn overs my a$$. 1 maybe. The defense can is capable of winning us 6 or more games. Unfortunately the qb position will stop that from happening. I am still on board for how coach Thule is building the program over the flashy dion way. Colorado will be at the bottom in 4 years once sanders has left for higher profile job. Nebraska will still be here

This defense is good. They are swarming to the ball like I haven’t seen in many years. They can not be expected to play 80% of the game on the field and stop everything. Best defense in a while in my opinion

I honestly can’t believe they are trotting Sims out there. I guess we are in worse shape than I thought. Rhule is going to lose this team and fan base pretty quickly if he accepts the crap sims does. If sims isn’t running then no reason for him to be in.

This is unfortunate. This game is going to be a blow out and it is all on sims. If sims doesnt hand the ball over to Colorado 3 times the defense is still in it. They are doing their best but you know they are tired and frustrated with sims.

How can you look your team in the eye if you trot sims back out. What does it say to the back up qbs when sims does get hurt. No way he starts second half. Just can’t

I am curious do you all feel this is a huge rival ? For me Oklahoma has always been the huge rival. Colorado an occasional speed bump

Why do I see a Buffalo running on tv but never see the tunnel walk. Is it a contract thing with the tunnel walk?

Eventually the big 10 will be at 20 so playing teams in the entire conference with much regularity is going to be difficult. For me the love of college football is that rivalry with all the teams in the league (thinking of the big 8). Dow we lose that. Or on the other hand does this become more like the big 8 where there are those other 5 teams or so that are played every year and the rest of the conference is almost like playing out of conference teams and we embrace the smaller division and the rivalry with those teams? also at what point does the extra teams actually hurt revenue as people lose interest in games because of less familiarity or will the less frequent playing of teams like USC give it a novelty feel still when we do play them?
