wow, pretty much every state except the Big XII states think Texas is going to win it. And everyone in the Big XII thinks OU is going to win (except for the Nebraska states). I sure hope it's a NE vs. OU game!

at my house in Kansas City: I'll wake up at 12pm, shower, put on Husker sweatshirt (preferably after I shower....although, I'll go with whatever seems like will bring the best of luck to the team), start drinking around 1pm, play some NCAA Nebraska vs. USC so that I know who will win ahead of time, make rotel dip...yell at the roomate to go to the store and get me some more beer (to which he'll just flip me off), invite the friends over for pregame show, and then game time! oh wait, were you talking about events in SC?

My prediction: 3000+ yards, 25-30 TDs, 65% completions, 57 yards rushing, 2 rushing TDs, Heisman, Big XII Champs, and Nat. Champions. GBR!! I'm lovin' your prediction.... is it possible to maybe skip the month of August this year??...and go straight onto Sept 2nd? That would really be great if someone can't help me out with that because I'm getting too antsy.

Down here in KC we're gettin' a lot of KU commercials that keep showing the Nebraska/KU game last year........and it's pissing me off. So much so that I'm yelling at the TV when they come on saying "Just wait until this season you douche bags!!!! We'll kick your ass in Lincoln!!!!" God I can't wait until we play KU this year. It'll be the only game I'll make it up to in Lincoln and I'll be rootin' for the Big Red to smack some sense into the Jawhawks.

the only time I blamed Zac was when he threw crappy passes. Everything else was just a protection problem in my opinion. I'm optimistic about this year though...extremely optimistic. I think with the experience everyone has learned from last year we'll definitely bring out A game to each matchup.

comments on this? Does anyone disagree in thinking that the average time it took the receivers to get open was more than adequate...and that the offensive line was to blame last year? Or is Callahan right in saying it's all a perfectly timed dance in that one mistake by someone can bring the whole offense down and the opposing team rushing their asses off towards the QB? granted I don't think the OL meant to let Taylor get hit so much, but I felt they really needed to step it up more. Taylor shouldn't HAVE to be the one keeping his cool and throwing the ball off fast. He should have all the time in the world to get those receivers down field.

the best part is the footage from the games with the audio recorded really quiet. So quiet that you first think there is no audio at all...then you hear the Nebraska fans kick in! And you realize how loud we really are! Go Big Red

I have also noticed lately how many Husker fans are out driving. Glad to hear there's one more fan out there. Where to go depends on where you live. 810 Sports is pretty big as was already suggested. Old Chicago can be a good place to catch some game day action. Johnny's Tavern or Tanner's too are two place that can be found in several parts around the city. The Other Place is also a decent bar. I personally prefer my local pub, W.J. McBrides...as they serve a great Guinness, have some delicious food and I know some of the people that work there. It's off of 119th and Metcalf and the original is out by the Kansas speedway. Just don't do Westport on game day.

yep, this is how I watch the game too. I even have been known to stand in the corner of my livingroom holding and biting my couch pillow when games come down to the wire. it's kinda like watching a horror movie for me. Then there will be times i'm standing and watching on my couch and of course my roomate thinks it's hilarious when one moment i'll be cussing out Taylor and what a terrible pick for a quarterback he was, then the next moment I'll be praising him to the high heavens.

Anyone have any superstitions or rituals that they routinely do for the Nebraska football season? for me, this past year (and this coming year) it's going to be the Rotel dip I make. 2lb of Kraft cheese, a can of Rotel and a can of chili meat if I'm feeling it. Topped off with Tostitos. Honest to god, everytime I made it Nebraska won. Everytime I didn't make it, they lost. It was freaky...so you can bet your ass I'm making it for every game this year.
