  1. Brockett will come back Sunday, They wanted Clark and Worthley for Friday and Saturday. Bottom line, Daiss has to close that out and we should score more than 6 runs vs them.
  2. it is quite telling that 7 different guys have batted third in the lineup. Josh Caron is legit, but Your point is plenty valid.
  3. They played Lincoln East and Millard South in the same week and he didn't pitch either game. Don't throw your numbers out there when you avoid good comp. Not the kids fault and hes really good but cmon coach,
  4. We don't have one single player on a full ride and nobody with an NIL deal worth anything. Yet the SEC, ACC and a quarter of the Big 12 use NIL to give all 40 players full rides plus spending money. Brice and Max were only ones with NIL last year worth anything. Arkansas, Kentucky, Ok State etc are offering kids full rides plus a minimum of 10K all the way up to 100K to go play there. You can't expect to compete at that level regularly. the top 16 teams host, we will never be a top 16 team no matter how much we hate to lose. sorry. we don't spend like the other programs. Guys like McConnahey, Worthley and Daiss are going to have 4-5 offers on day 1 of the summer and we will be thankful if they come back. '
  5. you dont go from loveable loser to top 5%, sorry it doesnt work that way. You work your way up. I hate posts like yours because Most Husker fans are stuck in the old days. Husker sports hasn't been the same since the rest of the country caught and passed them in facilities, nutrition, strength etc. Nebraska was a pioneer back in the good ole days on this stuff, well if we just did what they did back in good ole '95. Doesnt work anymore and its one reason most of the top recruits from the state arent coming here. The Big 12 in 98-02 is not the same as the Big Ten in 2024. Big 12 was loaded back then. DVH won over 40 games and finished 5th in the Big 12 in 2009 40 wins runs away with the B1G any year.
  6. they are #20 and 1 game out of the Conference lead. The boys don't hold hosting as a huge goal like unrealistic fans do. For a School who has made 1 regional in 16 years, how about we get to one before jumping all the way to hosting? Lets get to the dance consistently then worry about hosting.
  7. nobody has any idea what these guys are battling and just assume beating Creighton is the end all be all
  8. He's going to throw vs South Dakota State. The funny thing is, he started last night as a throw away because he was not traveling to Minnesota this weekend. The kid took advantage of his opportunity and I am so proud of him for doing so.
  9. We moved up because past opponents pulled off upsets as well. we get points as they get points. if a team is Q2, we get x points for beating them, if they bump to enter Q1, we then get credit for beating a Q1 team now instead of a Q2 team. Our biggest fall in RPI this year had nothing to do with the series we played. 4 of our Q2 opponents got swept and went to Q3 that week.
  10. While I agree he should have been out of the inning, You can't give up 5 hits after that. His ERA will say its not his fault and that shows why ERA is useless and WHIP is the true number for pitchers. it was 1-1 with first and second with no outs 7 pitches into the game, cant let that turn into 6-1.
  11. LOL Im just giving you s#!t, Fro threw two scoreless as well !
  12. He leads the bullpen in innings, how much more do you want him used? second in appearances. Borst has the best stuff and should be closer but he isn't throwing enough strikes Daiss and Worthley have been solid Sanders and Froelich are the next tier
  13. Where is South Lincoln to say our bullpen sucks?
  14. in fact, Most of our losses have come from falling behind early in games, not late.
  15. best I can explain is we dont throw guys for multiple weeks, then throw them out on a weekday and expect them to be sharp. Other teams throw their guys 1 inning 2-3 times per week minimum so they stay sharp.
  16. I would argue this point. 2022. Top three players in State ( not bulls#!t rankings ) Dalton Bargo- Jalen Worthley - Mason Koch. all three committed elsewhere 2023 Top three players in State Cam Kozeal -Cole Eaton and Eli Small all committed elsewhere 2024 Kale Fountain Tyson Lewis AJ Evasco all committed elsewhere 2025 Danny Wallace- Jeter Worthley - Drew Grego , only Grego to Nebraska 2026 Brody Jindra is Nebraska Charlie Ziola and Braden Caito are uncommitted.
  17. its not that they are better, its philosophy. We shelf guys and then run them out and expect them to perform on spot. Other teams throw guys who pitch multiple times a week but low volumes. but are in " game readiness shape" unlike our guys
  18. Oklahoma, Rutgers and Creighton . When did three become most of 11? But you also fail to mention the times the bullpen held strong and allowed us to come back late in games Grand Canyon Sunday All three Charleston games Northwestern NDSU m they got out of 4 jams with guys on base Most bullpens have blown leads, it sucks when they happen but the numbers don't lie, the BULLPEN gave up 2 wind blown homers before the 9th last night. second one probably would have been a homer without the wind but you never know. Perry isn't a closer, that's obvious but the guy who should be isn't throwing strikes at the moment.
  19. Bolt screwed up and had Beek run for Stone. Stone was run 5 and had no bearing on game SMH
  20. 7 plus runs again huh? not so much.
  21. The bullpen has carried us on non Sears days early in the year. Every pen will lose a game or two, but if you take the top 5 guys, they have carried us at times.
