The coaches poll is all screwed up. Explain to me how penn state is still ranked ahead of iowa. Hawkeyes 4-0 with the one impressive win against psu and penn has no impressive wins and is 3-1. Stupid preseason rankings. I also don't understand how michigan moves up two spots after squeaking a win against indiana.
Then of course Oklahoma state jumps up 4 spots after taking care of business against grambling st but we remain steady. Especially after the way vatech took out miami. At least in that poll we'll get more credit beating a ranked missouri team. (still silly to think about a signature win against missouri)
Correct me if i'm wrong, but they get A LOT of rain in Miami and they should know how to play in some rain as well if not better than VT. I don't put the weather in this as a factor
You're wrong. Miami's style of offense (pass heavy) suffers in the rain. Watched recievers drop quick thrown balls and the qb fumbled and had trouble with grip early on. Why didn't tech? Different style. Tyrod Taylor spends more time running with the ball tucked. And when a reciever slips in coverage and water is splattering around him...that's a factor.
Why is everyone so hard on Bo? He's just blunt. He's much more entertaining to listen to then a lot of other coaches. Plus it was a sloppy beginning, stupid penalties, 2 fumbles (not lost) and giving up some yards. Score looks great though.
Well the rain makes a difference. Miami's speed is neutralized. Their defender fell down on the second score (granted it was still going to be a big gain). But it is fun and painful to watch (hate miami but we were so close)
I'd like to make a comment about taking care of business tomorrow. Back in the TO days, I never worried about taking care of business. I'm not worried about this team either. That's good right?
I think we should seriously consider practicing that rugby style punt for henery. He slammed a couple of those on the go punts. But I feel like we should be heartbroken after a loss. It's Nebraska. I was in the Lincoln bookstore after the Texas loss in the 96 b12 game. People were really down. That's just pride in your team. There's nothing wrong with discussing issues we saw and questioning things. The coaches and players are demanding perfection...the fans should too. (within reason of course)
