  1. They lost me when they said "would of" instead of "would have." I can't accept that.
  2. I'm not worried about the postseason yet, the 2007 team only won 29 games in the regular season and made the NCAA tournament. There are 27 games left before the Big XII tournament, I doubt Joe Broekemeier will be starting any of them. Nebraska's relief pitching gave up 4 runs tonight, 2 after the umpires bent to Stephenson's will and overturned a ruling. So if Nebraska can play .500 ball (which they did against 3 top 15 teams this past stretch), I would think their RPI would be fine.
  3. I lost a lot of respect for Wichita State for that 8th inning. Stephenson was allowed to do whatever he well pleased all game, and the umps were more than happy to cater to his every wish. Maybe he's dying, I don't know. But that was a joke.
  4. The player is flash-based, but I think the video is still WMP format of some type. I'm not smart enough to know how to get to it though.
  5. Even as inconsistent/bad as NU's pitching has been, there were a lot of routine fly balls that ended up leaving the yard today. I'm not going to get too down on the team, they didn't play their best, but even so, I think without 25+ MPH winds, this series, and today's game, might have been at least a little different That said, I'm not sure why, for the 3rd straight Big XII series, the last game of the series has been their worst game of the series offensively. That's kind of backwards.
  6. The old format was subject to copyright as well I'm fairly certain, but so far music companies are about the only ones who seem to militantly enforce these standards Thanks for the link, I'll give that a shot.
  7. Unfortunately I can't help you, but I would like to echo the frustration in huskers.com making it either very difficult or impossible to download videos (there MUST be a way. Or maybe not.)
  8. I love you guys. Wait, it's 10:30, I'm not drunk. Never mind.
  9. A series split would be probably all we could ask for from this bunch. It'd be a great experience, and they've proved they can beat just about anybody.
  10. Yeah. But then again, better now than in regionals Hopefully they're just in typical June-form now and will be in April form come June ;p
  11. Could be tough, but among the best teams we'll play all year. Let's go Huskers.
  12. That's a lousy effort today against a lousy team (swept by Northridge?!) Oh well, move on.
  13. Honestly, if I squint, his name looks close enough to "bret favre" that I would like to have him.
  14. you say that like DBU is a bad baseball team... DBU is a VERY solid ball club..... Based on their sweeps of Oakland and Siena who have a combined 2 wins between them? Or a 2-1 series against Binghamton who also only has 1 win? Their schedule is horrifyingly bad. Nebraska should not be having trouble with Tech like this, but I suppose it happens. based on the fact of actually following college baseball and knowing about their team and their coach.. they aren't in a conference and it is very difficult for them to get a tough schedule. Should Nebraska be losing? IMO no. But this is the 1st big 12 series and it's on the road. The question mark coming into the year was our pitching, and it is proving to be so. Top to bottom, the big 12 is probably THE best baseball conference this year. They scheduled Rice and TCU. And got beat by a combined 19-6. I know what Newman helped build there was impressive considering, but from what I see they've not yet advanced past being cannon fodder in a regional for better teams. Like Creighton in basketball. Toss in being swept by Northridge, this is very atypical performance by Tech today this season.

  16. 7 runs this inning? Good god. This is a Tech team that only scored 2 on Dallas Baptist. Good work by Kalkowski.
  17. How do you lose the ball in a rundown? That takes effort. COME ON.
  18. They left Nesseth in long enough to put the tying run in the box, now it's Eric Rose's game.
  19. OK good, the slip didn't haunt.
  20. Darn, if Farst hadn't slipped there. . .
  21. Can't make it easy on himself. I don't know if Nesseth will be out there next inning.
